Here's the "official" story from the website ...But my suspicions arose from a lot of the clips being at night, and the fact that they're going to White Castle - known for being open late so you can satisfy those cravings...

The OAO Cancelled Shows that Should be Back Thread

Angel had enough seasons that people shouldn't be bitching about it. I can understand people complaining about Firefly, but Angel had a good run, and Whedon had a chance to give it some closure, to boot. My Shows: - Keen Eddie - Karen Sisco - The Flash - Murder in Small Town X - The (non-celebrity) Mole -

Yeah, I'd rather snowball a shot from Cammy (or any of the women from JS1), but that's just me... -

Jana "Cammy" Speaker looks like she may have given a lap dance a time or two, no? -
I'm very divided. On one hand, a stoner movie is meant to be stupid, so you know what you're getting. On the other, the casting of two visible minorities as leads makes you think that something else is going on here. So... yeah. I'm leaning towards cabbageboy's opinion - flop in the theaters, and a cult film on video...

That's the problem - they were in and out before you could blink. Kelly wrote a great Deadpool though...

Yep. Instead he gave us Stacy X, the most useless character since Maggott, AND screwed up Nightcrawler in the first place. Definitely not a high point in his career...

The All-Star workout's the best part of baseball's All-Star weekend. I went to the one at SkyDome years ago (Ripken won the HR Derby) and it was a lot of fun. Sadly, my apathy for baseball is such that I'm in Houston and I don't really care about it anymore... but I'll probably still watch, because I'm a sucker for watching guys swat homers...

When Lobdell and Nicieza were on, they were ON. But writing every single Marvel book seemed to burn them out. Can't imagine why... As I've said before, early Morrison arcs were good, later ones not very good. Still, he's been the best post-Claremont, although after 2 issues Whedon's been doing pretty good (i.e. he hasn't gotten burnt out yet).

I think that was when he assumed 4 different identities, which were then passed on to other people that formed a team and had a comic that lasted maybe 10 issues. I think that was after the Clone Wars though...

I was just at Denny's and it's really pathetic. They have cinederalla story princess meals that have pink all over them (pink ranch dressing, pink sprinkles on icecream, etc.) and princess cherry sprite or some crap like that. And if you order a princess slam you get a free cinderella story poster! WOW! Needless to say I had never heard of this movie until I got to Denny's. Die movie die. Off topic, but what do you get with a "Princess Slam"? Is it a Grand Slam with pink whipped cream and strawberries on the pancakes or something? Pink meat? I need to know...

I'm actually impressed how she (and by she I mean Jessica and her producers) managed to suck the life out of "Take My Breath Away"... i'm glad im not the only one that thinks that is one of the worst covers in the history of covers... The Counting Crows cover of "Big Yellow Taxi" was my least favourite new cover. Then this came out. They took out the synth/bass line that MAKES the song, and threw in a lot of space for glory notes, thus changing it into your standard bland "Diva" pop song. At least Berlin (or whoever the songwriters are) gets some royalties out of it...

In a nutshell, a Spider-Man clone who died in an earlier Spider-Man story is alive, and is discovered to be the true Spidey, and takes the name Ben Reilly. Peter Parker is a clone. But it's discovered that all this is due to manipulations from the Green Goblin (also still alive), and that Reilly is actually, really, undoubtedly the clone, and Peter is the one true Spider-Man. Ben dies, and the whole thing is never mentioned again in the Marvel U. I've skipped a lot of stuff, but that's the meat of it. You really need to read The Life of Reilly to get the whole thing, including some "behind the scenes" stuff. It's 35 parts, and a very good read.

The whole "Nightcrawler as a priest" idea was bad, frankly. And I still maintain that Austen wasn't that bad a writer, but 'net opinion is very, VERY vocal against him. Casey's run was a lot worse, and the Austen hate helped hide the fact that Morrison's later stuff was also not good.

Since her dad was her manager, I'm sure he had a lot of say in that. If he didn't, he'd probably be a grandfather by now...

You gotta expect that. I mean, they take someone into a studio, have them talk about different things, and cut it up to fit into the show. Hell, for all we know they took the same comments and replayed them 2000 times instead of having them say the same thing 2000 times...
