Honestly, did you expect a celeb's mom to go "yeah, she's dumber than dirt." unless there was some sort of falling out? My personal thoughts at this point is that Simpson isn't that dumb, but she IS that damn naive and innocent. I wouldn't be surprised if Nick didn't take advantage of that...

Well, if they follow something from the comics, they could have the fuzzy elf: - become best buddies with Wolverine. Jean's death would cause Logan to become more introspective, and he turns to the religious Nightcrawler for help. - do a Nightcrawler/Kitty Pryde thing with Rogue. Again, Kurt was one of Kitty's closest friends on the team, after initially being frightened of his appearance. - have him fall for an airline stewardess who ends up being his foster sister and a sometime sorceress. And I'm not making this up.

Actually, in hindsight, it's rather obvious. He introduced a bunch of "Nightcrawlers" and then he was introducing more "Angels", so he was going for some sort of Heaven and Hell thing. A mutant war with characters that people hate (Azazel and Jay/Josh/Icarus), I guess.

I think you just need to look for some comic lettering fonts floating around on the net. After that, it's just some quick Photoshop-ing. I think.

I think that there's some sort of rite of passage where the Amish kids learn about the big, bad world and then decide what they want to do.
-
Actually, not bad at all. But I have this urge to read Power Kangers now, if it's still around...
-
This has the potential to be either very interesting or really, really bad. Unfortunately the "Real World-style" angle would make me think that it'll be bad. These Amish kids would probably be ready for the real world, but I can't see them being ready for "The Real World".

They don't need to - the WSoP rerun at least once a day...

I thought he was decent as Zeo Ranger V. White Ranger was OK for the first little while, but the 3rd season just wasn't as good, probably because they had to do more "creative writing" to accomodate the Japanese footage and the original Power Ranger costumes. Or maybe it was the ninja costumes. Whatever it was, Power Rangers Zeo was a lot better.

I'm kinda thinking that as well. BUT in the time that they DO have the belts, having Kidman and London act as if it's a real big deal cannot be a bad thing as far as making the titles seem important again go...

I think I'll have to get a better hard drive before I do that. Of course, I may go ahead and buy Madden 2005 anyways, but for $20, count me among the many that won't mind giving ESPN 2K5 a chance...

Andrew please don't tell me your gonna give that film your money. Nope, a free pass came with the Batman TAS box set. You'd probably make some money eBaying it...

The Toronto Star only gave it 2 stars, but the critic noted that the movie doesn't need the critics to be successful. Probably true...

One of the worst cameos was a pointless Billy Crystal/Robin Williams one on Friends. Still with Friends, I found it funny-weird that both of Rachel's parents (Ron Liebman and Marlo Thomas) found recurring roles on Law & Order: SVU as mentors to Alex Cabot and Casey Novak, respectively. Another favourite - Brent Spiner as a recurring hick on Night Court

D'oh, you're right. My bad.

In case anyone's still looking to buy this game, Fry's is selling the PS2 version for $29.99. Showdown: Legends of Wrestling for PS2 and XBox is going for the same price. This week only, I think.

I'm assuming there's a crew member at the YIELD marker that takes the team photos out as they pass. That's what I figured while I was watching the first episode, anyway. Why the hell are we writing YIELD in ALL CAPS? Because CBS prints it all caps and we're just following along. Yet, we don't write Ant, ANT. OK, no more caps for Yield...

Who here has seen Mission Impossible 2? I think the bad guy would be good for Dr. Doom. Dougray Scott? The guy-who-coulda-been-Wolverine? I can't see it. Mark F'n Hamill. Except he ain't pretty enough, or (presumably) young enough for the role...

Fortunately, Fantastic Four is a Marvel comic, and WON'T be produced by Warner. That's not to say that Fox and Columbus won't make some bad decisions, but Columbus did okay with Harry Potter, so I'm hoping that it works out well...

Allright. I guess we'll find out what happens if a team YIELDs another team but that team has already passed the YIELD point. I'd assume that either 1) the team pix are taken out as they pass or 2) the team that uses the YIELD is SOL. (edit) OK, I'm reading the stuff about the FF as well... So there ARE only 2 FFs. I was wrong again. I wonder if this is tied to the massive amount of distance the teams travel this time around - the tasks seem more time consuming, so a FF could give a team a huge advantage...

It ended around the 24th or so, I think... -
Here's the official press release (taken from 411, which took it from Variety) I have no idea how Jessica Alba would look with blonde hair, but otherwise - I'd love it...

With the Flyers, Eagles and Sixers doing well in recent years I really can't see how Philly is tortured. Even the Phils made the World Series in '93 (touch 'em all, Joe). Frankly, you could make a case for Philly being one of the more successful cities in the US - albeit one that hasn't won a title since the 80's...

Not the strongest lineup to be sure, but they'll be competitive, at least.

Obviously, it's about Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. The running storyline's pretty decent, but this set of mecha isn't really all that great, I think. Mark out moments for Aburanger and the abridged history of the Power Rangers...
