That's pretty much the thing we've been dancing around - why are they only pursuing the much publicized incidents such as Bertuzzi and McSorley? Personally, I'd like to see the courts stay out of it UNLESS the punishment was absurd (like if Bertuzzi was allowed to come back from suspension last year, instead of an "indefinite" suspension). But (if this makes much sense) since they HAVE gone to court in this instance I'm hoping that they give Bertuzzi at least something, so it doesn't look like they've wasted too much of BC taxpayer money...

Joe Schmoe 2 Premiers Tuesday June 15th on Spike!

According to the TV Listings, Joe 2 is still in it's Tuesday timeslot, but I guess that they thought that 1 more airing per week couldn't hurt. Which works fine for me, since the World Series of Poker and The Amazing Race start on the 6th... -
Liefeld's lucky to have Nicieza writing this. Fabian's obviously got a good sense of humour about the whole thing...

Sure, why not? I think that the world is not only asking for the return of Ravage 2099, they're DEMANDING it...

That argument would hold more weight if Survivor wasn't programmed against Friends and The Apprentice against C.S.I. I'm pretty sure that people watched those shows. Anyways, reality shows - both good and bad - will continue to be a staple of television if only for one reason - they're cheap to produce. As long as they can create these shows for a fraction of the cost of a sitcom or drama, reality shows will be around. -
Here's the thing - there's precedent in Canada for this. Dino Ciccarelli spent a night in jail for using Luke Richardson's back to break his stick. So as it pertains to a hockey game in Canada, the courts CAN take action if they so choose.

I hear ya. I mean, seriously... Go-Bots? I bet Snarf could kick Leader-1's mechanical ass...

Gotta admit, I was conflicted over this one. I love Transformers and Voltron, but for this poll, I'm giving M.A.S.K. some love. Centurions shoulda been on there though...

Wasn't the "cowbell" sketch on the first one?

Yeah. Instead they inherit the Frasier slot which, while not bad, isn't the greatest spot in the world...

Typical Microsoft knee-jerk reaction. Not that I'm complaining...

Nice to see NBC gave up on trying to make a successful 930 show... They hadn't had one since Friends, anyways...

Basically, if both players accept the decision and don't argue, then there isn't really a controversy, is there? The fact is that Venus went up to 6-3 (or so) in the tiebreak and LOST the tiebreak 8-6. She had plenty of opportunity to send it to a 3rd set and she choked in the clutch. But after all is said and done, props to the Williamseseseses for being professional about it. For now, anyways...

Here's the key thing though - they're taking an ESTABLISHED character and building on that. Now sometimes this doesn't work ("The Art of Being Nick" starring Scott Valentine, anyone? Exactly) but history is littered with successful spinoffs ("The Facts of Life", "Frasier" and "Angel", to name a few) with an established character so there's a good chance that it WILL succeed. Look, I realize that the majority of you don't like Friends but don't let your dislike of it translate to an automatic "this is gonna suck". Give it a shot before you condemn it... or don't watch it at all and STFU...

I'd say there's a possibility, but given that NBC knows that they can't afford to fuck up with this, it's not likely. That being said, the show isn't going to live up to the hype. It'll probably be a decent show, but they're hyping it as the Next Big Sitcom, and you can't possibly live up to that.

I'm pretty sure that Claremont wants Psylocke back (even though he killed her off). Colossus better stay dead though. I mean, he'd be a more interesting character to bring back, but then his sacrifice kinda becomes meaningless...

Jubilee's not an X-Man. Not officially, anyways. And while I like the character, there's simply no way she deserves a title. Why they couldn't turn Unlimited into an anthology series (a la Marvel Tales) for stuff like this I've no idea. FYI the best X-titles (that you're probably not reading) are District X and New X-Men: Academy X. Pick those up if you're getting annoyed with the regular X-titles...

You need to watch the video again. This was a Tie Domi-level sucker shot. Probably even beyond that. When goons like Donald Brashear call it "excessive", you know it's bad. So I'm sorry, but that sure as hell wasn't "nothing". If the NHL had balls, Bertuzzi would be gone as long as Steve Moore is. But they don't and he won't, so we'll be seeing a similar incident in another 2 years or so...

That's part of the problem, really. MLG is on a prime piece of real estate, in the heart of downtown Toronto, so it was inevitable that it would be used for SOMETHING. So with that in mind, gutting the inside and transforming it into something different is about the best you could do...

Noone said he did. We're just hoping for a bit more consistency between the artists... Wolverine = sales. It's not gonna be explained, but if it makes you feel better, Austen made a joke about it in his first X-Men issue...

They really should have Hubie just for the draft. Who cares if he's coaching? We NEED to hear how much upside these players have, dammit...

And that's about all you can say. I know nothing about Aroujo, save that he's at least better able to handle centre than Chris Bosh is...

Yet Dany Heatley is still free even though he killed Dan Snyder. Accidentally. And it's not like that case wasn't investigated thoroughly. Yeah, and if I accidentally killed someone, I'm guessing I don't get off so lightly. Then again, OJ and Jayson Williams are running around free as well. Guess Tina Fey was right - athletes ARE allowed to kill you...

With Star Wars I'd actually recommend buying the X-Wing novels from Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston. Avoid: Codename Strike Force-#8 Shadow Hawk-#2 Shadow Hawk-#3 The Savage Dragon-#1 Death Mate Brigade-#4 These are from the early days of Image and don't really stand up. A Shadowhawk TPB can be had for cheap I think. Everything else, as I've said before, if it's a bargain basement price then by all means pick them up and see if you like it.

He's always awesome. Personally I think that his initial run on Excalibur (with Paul Neary as his inker) was some of his best work ever. Note: the link for the Uncanny cover doesn't seem to be working. Try this one... btw I think that this helps prove pochorenella's point. Bryan Hitch wishes he could draw this well, and ON TIME to boot...
