So personal opinion is fine (such as I when I said that I thought x, y and z were overrated) but outright saying it as fact ticks you off. I can see that.
-
You might be right about that. But we know what we like...

I don't like Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, John Travolta (when he plays a smug bastard and isn't Chili Palmer) and Halle Berry. With the exception of Cruise (who simply annoys me), I think that they're all incredibly overrated...

Maybe it's just me, but I can't get any of the codes to take...

Heh. They DO have a "formerly engaged couple" though...

Once again Dino Ciccarelli gets no love...

Isn't there some sort of rule where it MUST be called "You Got Served 2: Electric Boogaloo"?

Logic has no place here. Next thing you know you'll be asking how come Jennifer looks different in the sequels and why Marty's 1884 ancestor resembles Marty and not George and such...

At least Godfried does a killer Seinfeld impersonation. Dat Phan MIGHT be able to do Scotty Nguyen...

July 6 at 9:30EST. I think that normally it's on at 10pm though...

It's not likely that Toronto would support a second team. Hamilton would be the place to put a team, and the Leafs wouldn't mind (as long as they got some cash out of it) but Buffalo would never let that happen.

I hoped you told him "no". NOONE should play D, dammit!! [/sarcasm]

The show is pretty much for ANY comedian, so people like Jim Norton, Rich Vos, Dave Mordal and Bonnie McFarlane (who I think had a CTV comedy special) can and should try out. There is truth to that but the difference with this show and Tough Enough is that they're not trying to teach these guys how to be funny.

Haven't had one of these in a while... I'm picking up Exiles and Supreme Power, which I forgot to pick up last week. I might pick up Uncanny, but I thought that it was weaker than adjectiveless and Astonishing, although I can't argue with the art on any of the titles.

I'll pass, thanks. But I'm sure that Rome would love it...

That almost sounds like Shawn Majunder's schtick - the East Indian Newfie. I DO like the fact that they throw in some "name" comedians into the mix, but I'm skipping the open calls because, unlike American Idol, it's not very amusing when a comedian sucks. Still, it's something to look out for later on in the season...

No it didn't, Agnes. 15 of 25 of your players come from Canada. If anything this proves that the Americans couldn't have won the Cup without more than half their team originating from Canada. Or it's like saying that Canadians were better at baseball when the Blue Jays won the World Series...

This is true, but to Moriarty is the only guy there that I'd consider to be credible. I still prefer CHUD.com and Dark Horizons though...

Cooking for the American palatte + the need for Flay to win his first battle as an IC = Sakai doing the job.

Probably because Borque was a superstar in the league for a long time, while Andreychuk wasn't. That's pretty much it. Andreychuk is a grinder in the same vein as Dino Ciccarelli, the guy who got a lot of goals standing in front of the net taking punishment from defencemen and goalies. Like a lineman in football, these guys do a lot of dirty work, but are often overlooked when you're talking "superstar" because they kinda fade into the background.

Joe Schmoe 2 Premiers Tuesday June 15th on Spike!
starvenger replied to a topic in Television & Film
I can't speak for Punk'd or Roomraiders, but the premise of Joe Schmo is that it's a scripted reality show, so the assumption is that it's legit. I do have to say that there is some appeal to a chick who can put her fist in her mouth... -
Yes, but taxpayer money doesn't pay to keep ABC operating. Eh, really, I got no explanation. It's not like I'm bitter anyways. Well, actually I am, but that was back when Philly beat the Leafs. Nothing to do with the finals...

Well, considered they're OWNED by the people of Canada...

Oh yeah, and once again - skating around with the Cup: Best. Tradition. Ever.

He's from the David Stern school of hogging the spotlight. And it's even more impressive considering he's 3'6"... Gotta feel happy for the Chuker. He really does deserve this...
