Who do you think would win in a fight?

Well, to be fair I'm one of the bigger New Warriors marks out there...

Isn't Keenan from the "play the veterans, not the youngsters" school of thought? I can't remember anymore...

Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban

Harry Potter doesn't really interest me. To paraphrase "Office Space", it's not that I hate the franchise, it's just that I don't care. However, the fiancee loves the series, so I'll be seeing it <insert whipping sound here>. And if it's turning darker, I'll probably enjoy it more. The Philosopher's Stone was much too sugary for me, and the second one was an improvement. So, maybe the third time's the charm, eh?

Who do you think would win in a fight?

Whoops. I assumed you knew that Nova was a guy (see my current avatar). This is Nova I, the Human Rocket, not Nova II, Galactus' Herald. Either way, they don't really get tired, since in comic book physics, super-strength also means super stamina.
  5. Basically it plays out the same, but it's easier for the celebs to add money to the pot and they're treated better. The main difference really is the host. Anderson Cooper was an awesome host. Ahmad Rashad really only hit his stride about halfway through the second celebrity Mole. Out of this season's cancelled crop, it's a tossup between Karen Sisco and Keen Eddie.

Who do you think would win in a fight?

Well, to help you out... - Firestar. Deceptive codename, since her Marvel U powers are actually microwave based. Powers are flight and microwave "beams" - Justice. Telekinetic. - Nova. Flight, super-strength, and I believe he can emit eye blasts - Namorita. Basically, a female Namor. Flight, super-strength, increased when in water - Rage. Super-strength - Night Thrasher. Skilled in various forms of combat. Carries sticks and occasionally, an uzi. - Speedball. Um, emits a kinetic field of bubbles. Basically he bounces around and it's hard to hurt him.

The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread

I know!! I cringed and tensed up all the way through that scene until the car safely started. Eh, he woulda survived. After all, he's Jack Bauer, badass, not Jack McKay, Dylan's dad on 90210...

Who do you think would win in a fight?

It's funny, because I'd say that Nova and Thrash would cancel out Superboy and Robin. With all the muscleheads and such, the battle probably hinges on Firestar, Justice and Speedball vs Starfire, Impulse and Changeling.

The 15 Most Tortured Sports Cities

Eh, you're probably right. I have a hard time judging Buffalo, as I have a bias against them, being from Toronto and all. The most painful thing for me was seeing the fans go "oh well, we're still the second best team in the league" when you know that they don't really mean that. Still, 1 championship is better than none. Atlantans should at least be happy that they've gotten a taste of victory...

I'm going to Wizard World East in Philly next week

I knew I forgot to mention something. I always bring water and one of those "energy" bars with me to these things, because otherwise I'd never eat. Anyways, I HATE those people with 50+ items for an artist to sign. Maybe you do like the artist that much but it's completely disrespectful to everyone behind you. What was your final cost for sketches, btw?

Who do you think would win in a fight?

He changed it, but you're right. It was a virtual planetoid, had it's own weather system... I'd think that there'd be about a 90% chance that Loki would show up, actually. Anyways, I was gonna throw out an epic Speedball/Changeling matchup, but let's do New Warriors/Teen Titans instead. Warriors: Firestar Justice Nova Namorita Speedball Rage Night Thrasher Titans: Starfire Robin Impulse Superboy Changeling Cyborg Wonder Girl On paper, it would probably be the Titans victorious, but let's see what you guys thing.

The 15 Most Tortured Sports Cities

You mean, take away the BRAVES. It's hard to see Atlanta as tortured when the Braves clinch the division just about every year. Which is why Simmons is exactly right about Boston. Yes, the Bruins and Red Sox haven't won titles in ages, but the Patriots and Celtics have kept the city (somewhat) happy, and thirsting for more. And don't forget that the city celebrated when Ray Borque (oh, and the Avalanche) got his name on the Cup. Oh yeah, so tortured. Buffalo is a logical #1. 0 for 6 in major sports finals is pretty impressive - they've worked hard to be the "most tortured city"...

The 15 Most Tortured Sports Cities

If you go further down the chart Rice won... something or other last year, the Houston Aeros were AHL champs in 2003 and the Comets won some WNBA titles. ...yeah, I'm not fooling anyone. Nobody really cares about hockey, women's hoops or Rice University down here...

    American Idol 3

Well, I'm rooting for Fantasia, but as you know, it's for all the wrong reasons. Anyways, only watched the recaps but Ripper must've loved Fantasia's performances, with the way she was pushing that ass out there. Has anyone been watching "Superstar USA" on WB? Man, are those singers delusional or what?

Who do you think would win in a fight?

Thor's main weakness - he's arrogant. Always an exploitable weakness. Also, while he IS a god, the Norse gods ARE mortal. Really, really tough and long-lived, but mortal. That being said, Bats would have to perform some serious hit-and-run tactics (and use his head) to prevail. Unfortunately for Batman, I don't think that he'd have the time necessary to win.

Don't be silly. They're playing right now (or maybe later) in the province of Puerto Rico...

Anyone live in Toronto or been to a Jays game?

I'm pretty sure that after the "service/convenience charge" and GST it'll be over $15. "Serivce" charges have gotten ridiculous...
