Gotta agree with Kingpk, it's a huge overreaction. Although frankly it's not surprising considering how people overreacted to Nipplegate. I mean, yes, the relay team incident was a bit much, but I don't see this as a common incident. It's not as if the US is sending Terrell Owens and Joe Horn to compete. If the athletes want to celebrate, let them.

Well, this sucks... RIP Mr Randall...

Maybe it's a "make good" project after the whole Captain Marvel/U Decide thing...

I'm watching the CSI: New York "pilot" (CSI: Miami where Caruso goes to New York) and so far it's looking pretty good. I think I'm already enjoying Sinese more than Caruso...

Saved By The Bell Questions That You Asked

Yeah, she's got a nice one. Oh, and Mario's an idiot. That'll probably rate a blurb in The Sports Guy's column and/or a "What the heck were they thinking?" question on Page 2... -
Man, he's got ANOTHER gimmick-laden show? Could they not try something different?

I'm glad you didn't mention Bertuzzi, like a lot of the media has been talking about. He's a great player, obviously, but allowing him to play in this tourney would lessen the impact of his NHL suspension. Hitchcock is saying that because he happens to be an assistant coach on Team Canada, and Philly is still in the playoffs. If Philly gets knocked out, then maybe you'll hear more about it...

Well, there's only one way to find out - read it again...

Strong Guy was great. Of course, that was because David was able to play him off of Havok and Quicksilver. But since this is set in Mutant Town, he and Multiple Man will have to play off of... Bishop? I can't see that working...

The World Cup is run by the NHL and the NHLPA, so you can draw your own conclusions from there...

What makes the Joe in my mind is not the arena itself but the fans that go there. It is without a doubt a great place to watch hockey. Maple Leaf Gardens was another great place to go, and makes me wish I had gotten a chance to go to the other Original Six arenas. I've been outside MSG, but never in. All the newer arenas are archetectually quite nice, but they just haven't really acquired that "character" that the old ones have, I think...

We call that the Dave O'Neill Incident. Not that TNA matters to most people, but getting a nice cheap plug on one of the most popular Television Series' show that's guranteed a great tv rating is the right thing to do. I thought it was a decent plug. First Fairplay was introduced (and deservedly so) as the "favourite Survivor villain". Then they showed Fairplay, and after some banter with Jeff Probst, noted that he was now a wrestler in TNA and then plugged the dates and times. Everything was clear and concise, and hopefully TNA gets something out of it...

Well, Rupert's got his cheque. Is anyone surprised? Nice to see Jonny Fairplay though. And that was about as good a plug as TNA will EVER get, I think...

Yeah, that would be me... didn't think the "tampon" comment would go over well...

At the risk of sounding like a stalker, was that your quote in the Star today? The one about returning the trophy since it's so darn ugly. It might be. I don't get the Star down here (go figure) so I can't tell you for certain. Did it say sometehing about a no questions asked return policy?

Not having heard of him before his movie career stateside, I'd imagine I'd be the exact opposite of you in that I'd find it hard to accept him as a comedian, you know?

That's true. I think that, right off the bat, the producers KNEW how to market Clay, while they still haven't figured it out for Ruben... Rubens album sold alot amoung blacks and R&B fans. Clay sold more amoung white youth and pop fans. There are a hell of alot more white youth and pop fans than there are black people and R&B fans...and smart people apparently. Ruben sold 2-3 million I do believe. And He had a good album. Therein lies the problem. By all accounts, Ruben's album is a very good one, but to not have it connect with the regular pop music audience is a failure in my mind. Not Ruben's failure, mind you, but the producers and record company's failure. I think that Kim's doing pretty well on the pop charts though...

Was Bana actually a good comedian? Just curious. Over on chud.com the screenwriter basically said that if he had the gods in the picture it'dve been longer, and more like Clash of the Titans, which they were trying to avoid. And I can see this having a huge effect on Paris. Without the gods involved, he would probably be less of a sympathetic character, right?

Probably isn't any mention of the homoeroticism either. Eh, whatever. I'm still going to see it - the Trojan War holds much more appeal to me than the Alamo...

Kimberley Locke. But the judges were fixated on Clay/Ruben and basically gave them gimmicks from the get-go that she didn't have a chance.

Actually, I don't think she is fat. But that outfit was rather unappealing on her. If anything, her body size seems fine by me. However, whoever decides to put her in outfits that are too tight should be fired immediately. Cause that look last night had me confused. Ripper, you don't need another rant on that. But Blondie does need to recognize that she CANNOT wear the same type of outfits that LaToya and Jasmine et al wear. I'd call her a butterface but there really isn't much about Blondie that appeals to me...

Are we saying that Kelly Clarkston didn't have a incredible voice? She was/is better than Diana. And Kelly was hot. Kelly isn't model-thin, but she makes up for it with girl-next-door cuteness. Diana doesn't have anything that makes me like her...

That movie wasn't bad. It was simply a cure for insomnia...

I believe that Seacrest was saying on Tuesday something to the effect of "if you want to see Jasmine here next week, get off your asses and start voting". There was nary a mention of whether you thought she was the best singer or not (which obviously she wasn't) but the implication was she needed to be "saved" and bah Gawd, you'd better do it. It's stuff like that that WILL affect the voting. Well, you're right in that people vote for a "favourite", which I really don't agree with, but in this case it was a matter of Jasmine, Seacrest and the judges hitting just the right emotional chord and giving Jasmine the "pity" vote. Of course, if the vote was for "least favourite" then Fantasia probably would've been 2nd or 3rd gone...
