The Probert-McSorley bout that lasted forever (in hockey fight terms) was a true heavyweight classic. Frank Shamrock-Tito Ortiz still stands up as a great fight in my mind. Boxing, I don't watch enough of, sorry.

As a Raptors fan, my reaction is: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Honestly I'd just be happy if Chloe, her baby and whatever issues she has just disappears. -

Well, after this episodes I can definitely say that Spoiler (Highlight to Read): the Bitches are back, bay-bee!! -
Weapon X #17, $2.99 Guess I don't need to go in this week...

I don't like Clemens. Never have, never will (even when he was with the Jays). Now he's coming to the city where I work... that's just bloody lovely. I was actually interested in the Astros for a minute until he signed. Now, I don't give a fuck again. There was a lot of hate in NYC back when the Jays were a contending team (unless I misheard the chants at Yankees/Jays games). But the Jays were never the same after the strike, and now that they're a "fiscally responsible team" (whatever that means in baseball), they really aren't much of a threat to the Yankees, thus no hate. But if the Jays were to once again become viable contenders, the hate would be back in full force. They knows their baseball in the Bronx, even if their team is evil.

With those sales, it's likely that they could just make an OAV and make a profit. If they were to get back on Fox, that would mean more short term profit but - assuming that Fox does it's usual mishandling of a series - likely wouldn't be on the air for more than a season and a half. On Cartoon Network, there's probably less money per ep, but it's likely to survive longer and make more money over the long haul. My opinion is that it's an ADD television world, so it's better to take the Fox money and run, especially if you can continue the strong DVD sales.

Geez, the guy was only 2 years older than I am. Way too young to go.

It must have been cold - those nipples looked like they could cut ice. Or they could have been those erect nipple pasties I've heard about. Hey I'm just saying it's a possibility, is all. The Osama/Saddam thing hit hot poker levels for me. Why must they torture us with this skit? Most everything else... meh. I was mildly pleased to see Al Franken's portable satellite transmitter resurrected though. I always found that amusing for some reason.

From what I've seen, it's a shrunken down version of the laser disc...

OK, so I'm trying to load up Smackdown HCTP, and I get a "buzzing" sound from my machine. I figure, maybe it's the disc, so I try loading Madden. Same thing. Anyone have any ideas as to what the heck has happened to my machine? I've had it for 1-1/2 years, if that helps...

Well, she's still young. There's plenty of time for Mandy to hit her skank phase. And when she does, that magazine will get that space right beside the Michelle Branch issue of Maxim...

I will come out and say that I enjoyed the ESB Special Edition better than the original. *ducks flying objects* Wait, let me explain. ESB had the least amount of "bonus" footage added to it. Sure, there's a Wampa here and a better shot of Cloud City there, but most of the changes were to remaster the film and clean up some of the FX. Anyways, I was just at a comicon in Austin, and $10 is the going rate for a Laserdisc-to-DVD copy of the Criterion releases. ANH, I didn't like the whole "Greedo shoots first" thing but aside from that there really isn't anything that takes away the full mystique of the movie. I can see where the Jabba scene hate comes from though. But considering it was originally shot with a fat Irishman as Jabba, there wasn't much they could do. ROTJ was the weakest of the three movies, and the SE seemed to gear it even more to kiddies than it already was. I didn't enjoy it. Still, I own the tapes, and I gotta tell ya, it makes for a great autographing item at conventions.

Screw that, they're either fixing it (and paying my shipping), or replacing it for me. Anyways, that annoying chippie at support told me (in a rather condescending tone) I needed to "push the tray in as you push the open button", which I hadn't tried, because I figured that would keep the tray shut. And when I got home and tried it, guess what? I was right. Oh, and though I'm a Leafs fan, I still say that that is one sweet avatar. It should become a new rule - all goalies must wear toques over their masks. But that's a discussion for another folder.

I'm still trying to figure out how their label managed to get them some play on Alternative/New Rock stations. I like their stuff, but it's not exactly what you expect from the stations. Then again, Sarah McLachlan started out by getting play on "alternative" stations in Canada, so who knows anymore?

And can I say that I am damn glad that it is?
-
Well, just to let you in on what's happened in this saga, I got the PS2 back today, and I'd presume that everything that was wrong is repaired, but... I can't open the fricking disc tray, so I couldn't tell you. Beauty, eh?
-
Well, the Leafs finally scored to make it 5-1, but from what I can tell the Sens did the equivalent of beating them up and taking their girlfriend...

Angie Everhart is an SI Swimsuit model from the 80s during the Kathy Ireland/Elle McPherson era. Nowadays she's an "actress". And she's still damn hot.

I am shocked - SHOCKED - that we don't know everything about the universe yet...

2nd worst playoff call in hockey that I can remember. The first is of course the "no goal" goal. But in the back of everyone's mind, you knew that Buffalo would somehow find a way to get screwed over. Hard luck city, I tells ya.

I give Hughes credit for taking a lot of time with sketches, actually. For your $100 it's a full pencilled sketch, and he will take his time on it. The reasoning, btw, for the $100 is that people will put the sketches on eBay and sell them for at least double that price. So I see the reasoning for the high charge, but he's basically priced himself out of the range of the average fan and is now catering to... guys who resell the sketches on eBay. Anyways, for my money I'd rather get a free head sketch from someone - my current fave is the Speedball sketch I got from Darrick Robertson.

The redhead won. Frederique was the Mole. That was sarcasm, Anglesault...
-
Who cares about Bernsen and Baldwin. My favourite redhead SI swimsuit model of all time, Angie Everhart is on. I hope she lasts fairly long. Of course, they wouldn't try to pop ratings by making a gorgeous redhead the Mole, would they? After all, it's not like they did something similar last year, right?

What Steviekick said. Basically people would buy multiple issues of comics that were #1s, #0s, gimmick covers, or featured a chick with tight, skimpy clothing (real or drawn), in the hopes that the value of the comic would go up. Of course, when you print over 1 million copies of (New) X-Men #1, chances are that, due to it's availability, it WON'T go up. If you get a chance, read that "Life of Reilly" article, and some stuff about Valiant as well, as that will give you some perspective on the whackiness that was comics collecting in the 90's. Speaking of skimpy clothing, did you know that Adam Hughes charges $100 for a full sketch? I realize that he draws some fine looking women, but at the convention I was at last year, some of the Star Wars prequel hotties were there, and you could take pics with them for free. Guess which option I took?
