Bryan Singer In Talks To Direct X-Men 3
starvenger replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
In the comics, Wolverine STILL knows very little of his past. It's only recently that WE found out his "true" origin... -
Not really. When I was in school people would eat fries with Italian dressing on it, because that way you'd have a lot less people trying to steal your fries. I like beef tripe. Kind of an acquired taste.

Belee dat, playa.

Feh. I'd still rather see Genevieve and Amy Wynn... Is Maven's push dead or something?

And, somehow, Mike Bullard has a late night talk show. Hey, did razateca just disrespect Gretzky? But yes, it's a shame that Bullard has a show. My list: - The Pythons - Benny Hill - Rowan Atkinson - Robin Williams on drugs - George Carlin - Steven Wright - Chris Rock - Abbott and Costello

Fuse a Fatal Four Way and a Tag Team match, and there you go. Isn't it a tag gauntlet match?

You know, only a heel would enjoy Hildy Santo-Tomas on Trading Spaces. Case in point: yesterday she pasted the room walls with feathers...

Bryan Singer In Talks To Direct X-Men 3

From what I've heard Halle will only come back if they give Storm more to do in the movie. Lessee, they'll already be paying big bucks for Stewart, Jackman and maybe McKellen to return so the question is whether they recast Storm or remove her from the story entirely... -
If only it were that simple...

That made me curious. So, looking around the web, I found the following at The Center for Science in the Public Interest: - Chipotle's Chicken Burrito (with black beans, rice, cheese, and salsa) weighs in at nearly 1,000 calories and 12 grams of saturated fat. - Chipotle's Vegetarian Burrito (with black beans, rice, cheese, guacamole, and salsa) weighs over a pound and provides 1,120 calories and three-quarters of a day's worth of saturated fat (14 grams). - Chipotle's Barbacoa Burrito (with shredded beef, pinto beans, rice, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa) hits nearly 1,300 calories and three-quarters of a day's worth of saturated fat. That's the equivalent of a Quarter Pounder, a large order of fries, and a large Coke. - Chipotle's Chicken Burrito Bols--burritos without the 340-calorie flour tortillas--are CSPI's only recommended "Better Bites" at Chipotle. A Bol with chicken, black beans, lettuce, and salsa, has just 430 calories and four grams of saturated fat. Rice instead of lettuce adds about 200 calories. -If you want a Chipotle Burrito and not a Bol, CSPI advises consumers holding the cheese and sour cream. That can save 200 calories and a half a day's worth of saturated fat. We estimate that skipping the rice could save 200 calories more. And most Chipotle Burritos are big enough for two meals: Just ask your server to wrap each half separately. Apparently a lot of that fat comes from the cheese and sour cream. I guess my veggie burrito bol weighs in around 780 calories, which I suppose isn't too bad...

The One and Only Survivor: Pearl Islands Thread

Hate to burst you bubble, but previous votes aren't used as a tiebreaker anymore. In Marquesas, they introduced the "purple rock of death", where basically you draw straws for ALL remaining players, and short straw leaves. Reality News Online has an interview with Tijuana about that. In it she said she voted against RyanO because he was strategizing against her, and Darrah voted against him because everyone else was. -
I'm pretty excited about "Be Cool", as it's a great book featuring plenty of the "grey" characters you expect in an Elmore Leonard story. The character of Elliott just SCREAMS Rock. The character is described as 6'4", 260lbs, half-black, half-Samoan who tends to raise one eyebrow. I'm curious as to the characters Thurman and Vaughn would play though. Thurman probably Edith Athens or Elaine Levin, Vaughn maybe Raji the pimp or Nicky Car. Wonder if they'll actually get a singer to play Linda Moon?

Best fast food place for my money. Yes it'll run you between $5-$6.50 for the meal alone but it's a good sized meal and they've got some decent meat, unlike some other Texican fast food joints. I normally have the veggie or pork in a burrito bol (i.e. no tortilla). Leaves me full without feeling like I wanna puke.

It happened in the Batman/The Incredible Hulk comic, which is in the Crossover Classics vol 1 TPB. I believe that Batman made Hulk inhale some gas, which knocked him out and changed Hulk back to Banner. BTW that TPB also has both Superman/Spidermans (the second of which Dr Tom is referencing) and X-Men/Teen Titans - well worth picking up IMO.

Bonnie Raitt is closer to rock than any of the other four. Avril is what I'd call Grrrl Pop. Basically it'd be bubblegum pop but they used guitars and drums instead of synths and drum machines...

Not entirely horrible. I was hypnotized by Shania's cleavage. And I'm a mark for No Doubt, but I gotta say that "Just a Girl" was a curious choice for the Super Bowl. Sting was just kinda there. Rumour about U2 was that they did it gratis simply because they knew the exposure alone was priceless. I'd love to see them again, but I think that it's one of those things that you'll only see once.

At least Aerosmith fits the demographic for a typical football audience - even though the Super Bowl audience isn't what you would call "typical". Remember Michael Jackson at halftime?

Didn't Spidey whip him up when he had the Capt. Universe powers? It's been a long time since I've read that. That's possible. We need to start a tally...

OK, so I won't mention how I like Paige Davis (Enterprise) and Genevieve Gorder (Swiffer) in their commercials then. Ali Landry stands out for her Doritos commercials...

Bale To Be The New Batman; Caine To Be Alfred
starvenger replied to MrRant's topic in Television & Film
That's it, more or less. BTW I recommend that everyone pick up the book. It's a great story from Alan Moore and Brian Bolland, and has some shocking scenes that you wouldn't expect, such as Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Joker paralyzing Barbara Gordon, ending her career as Batgirl -
And this should surprise you because...? Not too many heroes have gone one-on-one with the Hulk and come out on top. Off the top of my head, there's Batman and, um, Wolverine might have beat him during his Joe Fixit phase, but that's about it, I think.

The One and Only Survivor: Pearl Islands Thread
starvenger replied to fairtoflair7's topic in Television & Film
eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww *shudder* I think at that point, I'd be rooting for someone to come and bomb the island. I don't like it either, but the way I see it, that's what things are shaping out to be. And if you haven't seen it yet: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Christa got the boot after Darrah got immunity. -
The truth of the matter is that I really don't care that much about American Idol as a show, but I do enjoy seeing if this affects the dynamic between radio and television, y'know? Remember, Kelly Clarkson was "discovered" on TV, not radio, which traditionally "discovers" new artists. So if Clarkson wins, does this weaken radio's influence to "create" new stars? Would this cause companies like Clear Channel to, oh I don't know, EXPAND their fricking playlist beyond what they want us to hear? So anyways, that's my take on it.

It is the perfect game to play on an airplane. Addictive, but short enough "levels" that you can turn it off at just about any time...

Well, she doesn't own a computer, so I think that may help a bit...
