I've heard good things about Fogo de Chao, the Brazillian steakhouse, but I've yet to indulge. Another place was La Capilla Argentina in Cancun (at the Marriott? Radisson? Can't remember) where I had this sampler grill with 3 types of steak and a lobster tail. Even better, I had a 2 for 1 card so my fiancee (although she wasn't at the time) basically had steak for free. When I was in Cleveland for a friend's wedding, my fiancee and I tried John Q's downtown. If you can get over the fact that Clevelandites have Browns clothing grafted onto them, it's damn good eating. Nothing against Outback (which is pretty good with reasonable prices - and the chicken/ribs combo will feed you for about 3 days) but sometimes you've gotta spend a bit more to get some really good stuff.

I forget, does Paris look something like Krystal Steal without fake boobs?

They should go back to brown. Anyways, nothing offensive about the unis, but then again nothing that stands out either. Still, it's better than the (don't call us Blue) Jays logo...

That would be me. I think that maybe his passion shows through with hoops, but the crux of the matter is that between Jimmy Kimmel, the magazine column, Page 2 and the Cold Pizza segment (which you'd think would be interesting, but isn't) he's stretched it to the point where imo the only real entertaining columns from him is the mailbag. Neither had I until TMQ plugged it. I'm still not sure about the whole "efficiency rating" thing though.

sorry, I haven't figured out how to scale things... (I got this from Newsarama...)

What, are we Canadians sailors now? It's "eh", not "aye", dammit...

No, they didn't. I just couldn't remember if Blue was Mon or Tue...

And here I thought that Doc Halladay was going to run the gauntlet and pick up all the AL pitcher awards...

If this is a keeper league I do this deal without hesitation. If it isn't I'd try to get someone better than Dunn. I have my own question. With William Green suspended I'll be starting a 3rd wideout, but the question is, who? Options are Darnerian McCants (Was), Dennis Northcutt (Cle) and Brian Finneran (Atl). Note that I am also starting Seattle's D (vs Was) and TD's allowed count as -1. I'm leaning towards McCants (big play potential) but of course Cleveland looks to be very pass happy this week. Finneran can produce but the Falcons QBs suck.

yeah, they got an order for 4 more eps (which is a good sign), so right now it looks like maybe a full season but no renewal just yet. It's a decent show, but needs more Elmore Leonard-ish "grey" characters to liven it up. Still, the geniuses at ABC decided to put this up against Law & Order, which didn't help much. I'm hoping that it moves to Mondays (paired with NYPD Blue?) when MNF ends...

Yeah, after a while I doubt even a million fluffers and viagra could help you out...

For those few TMQ fans on this board, Gregg Easterbrook wrote this statement at Football Outsiders.com yesterday: Good news, indeed...

"Showgirl" Elizabeth Berkley Gets Hitched

You haven't heard of Jessie from Saved By The Bell? -
It would have been better had they not tried to integrate an actual story into the movie. It was pretty decent when it moved to spoofs/homages, died when it tried to focus on the story. Jamie Pressley does pretty good evil/disgusted facial expressions, though.

Best. Restaurant. EVER!, Worst. Restaurant. EVER!

All the same, there's still something about those McDonald's fries that keeps you coming back. Probably the injected beef flavouring... I remember that, and I don't remember being all that surprised when I heard it. Still, it's probably not true, because if you can make a good sauce, freeze it, reheat it and still have it taste good, you'd put it in supermarkets at $3.99 per 8 oz package... Coffee Time seems to have a lot of trouble keeping franchises, as I see a lot of ex-Coffee Times in Toronto. It doesn't help that both their coffee and donuts suck. Thank goodness for Timmy Ho's. -
Who cares as long as she remains eye candy and doesn't have to act too much. What's Nash's character anyways? Random goon #3 or someone like Tombstone?

I don't see a problem with that. Sometimes it's what you mix with your primary liquor that makes the drink (e.g. Tropicana with cheap vodka > Grey Goose with frozen concentrate) I heard a lot about Bombay Sapphire, and after trying it I can't see it either. I prefer Tanqueray, which seems to blend well with tonic...

Best. Restaurant. EVER!, Worst. Restaurant. EVER!

I think you're right. Houston is littered with Pappas and Landry's chain restaurants. I'd take El Tiempo over Pappasito's though. Best margaritas I've ever had... Favourite restaurant, period: A Japanese/Korean restaurant called Momoyama in Toronto. Favourite family restaurant: Woody's Outhouse in Windsor, ON. They have the best non-Missouri-style ribs I've ever tasted. Favourite fast food/casual: Chipotle. Least favourite family restaurant: Red Lobster. If you want cheap seafood, you're better off going to Long John Silvers or any random fish and chips place. If you want GOOD seafood, pay the extra money to go to a more upscale restaurant. Least favourite fast food/casual: Boston Market, which has this fascinating ability to consistently undercook their chicken. I've given up on them, and now just buy the whole roasted chickens at Randalls or Kroger. -
Isn't "Jessica Dreams of Jeannie" the name of some lesbian porn?
-
I might watch it. I mean, it would be interesting, even if, as Plunderin says, we'll never know for sure whether this is accurate or not. I don't think that this is earth-shattering or anything, though.
-
Sure, it's taped, and sure, it's not the most obvious of things to show on ESPN, but if you watch it, you're hooked. It must be because anyone can play poker or something. Phil Hellmuth is an ass, though. And though Phil Ivey is apparently the Tiger Woods of poker, from the World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour shows you'd think that he's more like the Phil Mickelson of poker.

Wasn't Wheels still in jail? But if not, will the Zit Remedy reunite?

OK, quickie review for the one book: New Mutants #6 - 7.5/10 Let me first just say that I hated the art. I understand that the guy is a newbie, and it shows. Kind of raw, has potential, but it didn't really work IMO. Especially after seeing Keron Grant's pencils for the first 4 issues. Anyways, the story is again solid, really emphasizing the fact that we live in a world that hates and fears mutants. I'm really digging this book - the X-ties help, but even as a standalone it's got legs, I think. Anyways, pick this one up in the back issue bins, or when it comes out as a trade at Borders or B&N (no direct market TPBs for Tsunami titles)...

Need some advice regarding new authors to try

I know the names, but not the genre(s). What would you classify them as?
