As far as I'm concerned Will, Kevin and Gedeon are fighting for the final two spots. Chris could drop a deuce on Idol and go through, Ace is pretty, Elliott is frustratingly inconsistent but sounds like Adam Sandler, and Taylor gets the underdog vote (and is good, to boot). On the women's side Kinnick is a dead woman singing but I'm having trouble figuring out who the second woman should be. If we were rating based on singing ability Kellie would be gone but like Ace she's getting a push so she goes nowhere, so it's probably gonna be Melissa or Kyla. I'm leaning towards Melissa at this point.

Sadly, Batman vs Guy Gardner was not a movie fight, nor was it martial arts. But it did show that, indeed, Batman was the one, true badass in the DCU. Ahem. Oh yes, Martial Arts. I'm partial to the pole fight in Iron Monkey, but I'd concede that it's not the greatest fight ever. Greatest fight might just be the climatic fight in Drunken Master II, as has been mentioned.

Dunno, but the fact that she told Elliott that "Stevie Wonder would be proud" this week when he sang a Stevie song LAST week was pretty funny. Speaking of which, there should be a rule where no Idol is allowed to sing a Stevie Wonder song, EVER. Sway (the Filipino guy) and David (the crooner). Not entirely unexpected - most figured they would go before the Top 12, the question was when it would happen. But what interests me about the guys is Bucky - he has no business still being in this competition. Is he drawing in the Kellie Pickler voters or something?

I'd think so, but he was actually decent tonight. I think he realizes that he'll be out either this week or next, so he decided to live out a dream and sing Sinatra. That being said. I'm picking Bucky and Sway to go. Bucky ruined Garth Brooks, and Sway sang Stevie Wonder, which almost never goes well for Idol hopefuls.

Oh yes you can. I think this is where I'm supposed to say "Oh no you can't" but I can't really as you'll see below No real argument about where the sound was coming from. Jane Idolwatcher might not know that the sound is supposed to come from the diaphragm, but they'll know when the sound isn't coming from where it's supposed to be coming from. Here's the thing - if you're nervous and things aren't going right, your training isn't always going to take over for you. The best coaching in the world is not going to help you if mentally you've thrown in the towel. It's a sports cliche, but it can also apply to competition - that focus, that drive has to be there if you're going to succeed. And it wasn't there for Stevie. To tie this all back to my previous post, I need to amend it a bit. I should really say "I say this because you can't tell how good an OPERA singer Stevie was because she fucked up a 2-minute POP song in a singing competition viewed by millions." because maybe your friend can tell how good a classical singer one might be - I don't know her, and her blog post was essentially done to bury Stevie (not that she needed help). But as far as we know Stevie has just this one chokejob and you can't form that "she can't sing" opinion based solely on that. But of course, you CAN form the "she doesn't deserve my vote, especially since that cute blonde girl with the jailbird dad did poorly" opinion and that's what people did (I guess, since Kellie was pretty bad as well).

I've seen the one on the right in their profile quite a few times. Sadly, I was always with my then girlfriend at the time so I was never allowed to gawk the way I will once the show begins. There's no way they can win unless CBS is conspiring to only allow hot chicks named Danni/Dani/Danielle to succeed this year. My guess for first elimination is the black duo since that theory that the lone black representives always dies first works in the movies. But Uchenna and Joyce won the last Race that mattered...

That's just a wicked sexy look ... then again, I dig a girl in go-go boots and shorts or a short skirt, and she's pretty much just sporting the island equivalent of it. That's just it.
