Hell no. I'm like Kahran - I'd prefer to do The Amazing Race.

New Fall Network Shows/Lineups thread

They are. Stewart will have her own daytime syndicated show (distributed under the NBC Universal umbrella) as well as her Apprentice spinoff on NBC network. Because Burnett wants some decent ratings, and attaching "The Apprentice" name will attract $$$ from the advertisers. -
Not entirely. The 905 region of the GTA is probably not going to vote NDP, and for the most part, people are the middle class you talk about, plus I think there's a greater concentration of "red" Tories in the ridings, so people switching their votes to Conservative is the likely result there. If they switch, that is. The 416 area (that is, Toronto proper) however, is Layton and Chow's stomping grounds, so I could see them trying to expand their base from there. An endorsement from the Mayor would probably go quite a ways there.

Fear Factor is going to be back as soon as Fathom fails. TBJ getting canned is total bullshit Meh. I was thinking Criminal Intent might get pulled. I think Chris Noth is back for half the shows next year, which immediately makes half the shows on CI a lot better than they would be with D'Onofrio there. -

Sounds like that Sealab DSV combined with Sphere or something, actually. A Lost clone would have them lost at the bottom of the sea or something. -
Don't worry about it. I just happen to have a good excuse now (as opposed to the times when I have none and download anyways). FWIW, Amber looked good on The Amazing Race.

Fathom? As in shitty Michael Turner comic Fathom? -
Thanks. Now I'm gonna have to download some porn to get that image out of my head... And yeah, I think that Steph looks hotter without the makeup. The crimpy hair (result of the braids?) probably helped too...

Yeah, that was the time that Josh Gracin probably should've been in the bottom two, and everyone (including Josh) seemed to know it. Ruben gave what is probably known now as the "George Huff look" (pre-Huff, natch) but I don't think that there was as much chance of him going home as Seacrest and the producers would have you believe.

I wouldn't go that far. I'm sure he's had some failed pilots in his past. Regardless, we'll see what his new shows are like in the fall, and hopefully they'll be allowed to stand on their own merit, instead of getting canned because it's not doing Lost-type numbers or something... -
I thought I saw one advertised on Newsarama once, but if you don't mind the legwork just do it on Excel. Good way to learn the app if you don't know how to use it, too.

Well, it IS the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything, you know...

This is what happens with a minority government. You need support from others to get anything done, so you change your policies to account for that. If that were the case we'd probably be in a nightmarish country where Jack Layton was PM. Or worse, Mel Lastman.

The way it breaks down for me is this: Ian vs anyone - Ian wins, although there's no way we'll see a Ian-Tom final. Tom vs anyone but Ian - Tom wins Katie vs Jenn - coin flip. Jenn actually impressed me last night, despite her initial obliviousness to all other alliances aside from her and Gregg. And somehow Katie has done a great job in her role in a Colby-Tina like alliance with Ian. Hey, has anyone noticed that Survivor has only had one all-guy final two?

At this point I'd hire Chris over Tana. He did well as a de facto event coordinator, even if Tana was slightly miffed over it.

Funny, I don't remember stories about Ruben (allegedly) getting it on with teenaged girls...

UT-Austin is there, there's a shitload of bars, San Antonio is about 90 minutes away. I think it fits the format.
-
I don't really watch Real World, but I hope that they didn't go to a tequila bar and waste the good stuff on these kids... BTW, Austin is a lovely place. I can see why Robert Rodriguez doesn't like leaving it...

Couple of possible explanations: - Not everyone knows that Shannon tried to shoot Locke. Not everything is made public. - You didn't actually SEE anyone talk with Shannon this ep, did you? Even p-whipped Sayid didn't interact with her. - Shannon's a bitch, and needs no rational explanation to be angry at people.

Going one step further, my brother is friends with former Canadian Idol contestant Mikey Bustos, but it doesn't mean he's gonna buy any albums or singles Mikey comes out with...

Final 3 is Bo, Vonzell and Carrie. (blanked for the benefit of the West Coasters) No drama, no controversy about that. In a way, it's surprising that Sergei went home.
-
True, but in this case, had Mr. Cab Driver said "don't worry, no problem", they'd be absolved of that responsibility. The unnecessary drama came from the way they edited where exactly Rob and Amber were in relation to the Finish Line. Clearly, they were quite a bit behind Uchenna and Joyce, so the quick cuts between them and the panhandling team helped rachet up the drama.
-
I gotta say, Evangeline Lily looked smokin' this ep. And was that Sean Astin's brother as Thomas?
-
Ruben Studdard and Josh Gracin did it in Season 2. It's generally pretty rare, as the contestants will obviously talk amongst themselves to see what they're singing.
-
They also need to have the Scooby Doobies, Larry's Legends and the Dreadnoks, I think.
