To me, Rex grossman is like Kyle Boller-they had potential, but they didn't have the mind for football to work for it, so now they'll always be decent backups
-
somebody will offer him, at the least, a 1 year league minimum contract, but I don't think we'll ever see "Michael Vick:Franchise QB" again

Are you suggesting a TJ, Desean Jackson, and Kevin Curtis WR triad? Because that would actually be pretty good, especially since Curtis belongs in the slot. Hell, I'd say if the Eagles can do it, get Harrison. He may not be as good as he was, but he still as good hands, and again, would enable Jackson and Curtis to play to their strengths. The Eagles really need a heavy hitting RB

I'm not a fan but I am very interested in what the Lions do this offseason. I read on espn.com about a Derek Anderson to the Lions trade, and I think that'd be a smart move, trading a 2nd round draft pick for DA, then using the first round for an OT and LB or CB.

Nice...I should have all but the most recent Hellboy comics up starting tonight and tomorrow, alongside Garth Ennis' Hitman anybody else with any requests?

wow, fuck Dunta... he would not get 10million/yr on the market, he should count his stars he's getting paid that much, espeically since he isn't an elite cb, not yet atleast. With Asomugha and Dunta off the market, who is the best free agency CBs now?

Anakin, you are the man...you've made converting my collection to digital a breeze I'm uploading the Joker HC for all the Batman fans, and The Umbrella Academy right now, should be up soon Is anyone interested in any Hellboy comics? I've got pretty much every comic he has been in, so Just let me know. Hey Anakin, any suggestions on a good external harddrive? My goal is to convert my entire colelction to digital, and then cut my collection down to most valuable/most wanted.

Ray isn't going anywheres, he's just jocking for more money. His parents live in the area, he has a business, and he is the face of the entire organization...no way is he going anywhere The Ravens don't need Peppers as bad as other teams... next year, with Jameel McClain, Suggs, Johnson, and Lewis, they have their LB corp set up. I think Peppers would fit great with the Packers, as I said. And it may happen...the packers need to focus on their Defense after last year. No need to mess with the offense, besides some linemen. Rodgers, the RBs, the Wrs...they're all good. Has anyone else heard the rumors that Haynesworth might goto the Lions? WTF?

Portion Control+Eating Good Food+Exercise=The Best way It's amazing how bad caffeine is for you...I was addicted to sodas, coffee, moutain dew, etc. I cut that out, with the occasional diet coke & rum, and I felt so much better. I've also made it a habit, instead of fast food all the time, to make myself prepare and cook my own food....I've saved a bunch of cash that way, and lost some weight.

Don't take this the wrong way, especially if you really want it, but you're more than likely far too qualified to be an MP. Civil Affairs Specialist is actually a pretty decent MOS, as is Combat Documentarian if you're looking at Journalism. But MP? MP is usually the guys that scored so bad on the ASVAB that they couldn't even be Infantry. Again, not a knock on you, but you could probably do something better.
-
-If anyone says they're an MP, they scored the drizzling shits on the ASVAB....single digit drizzling shits -Also, never be impressed when somesone says they're airborne...any soldier can go airborne...I've seen cooks who were airborne. -You will not get a hard-on in basic training, due to the salt peter. This doesn't affect the girls, and they will get horny. -The day you go into the gas chamber, they will offer you as much milk as your heart wants...don't take it. -Don't fall asleep with your dog tags out...keep those under your shirt no matter what. -Don't be an idiot and get engaged/married right before you leave for basic...it will not work out...ever. -Don't know if this is everywhere, but if you goto Ft. Leonard Wood, for the love of god, do not step into the killzone. Ever.
-
Hawk and Peppers would be deadly together....and even then, if the Packers got Bart Scott to go with it? ouch For some reason I see Scott going to the Cowboys or Jets though

My family got a ten year(!) subscription to newsweek a couple years back, and its probably the one thing I read on the regular. Otherwise, i pick up issues whenever it interests me. usually Rolling Stone, FilmMaker, and mens health

I just finished 2666 by Roberto Balano started off slow by by the end of its massive tale, it was well worth it. 2666

Did they ever release the rest of the names on that list btw? I think there is less juicing in football than most people believe. The mamount of contact and strain, with steroids, we'd be seeing people dropping like flies all the time with torn muscles. Also, Goodel seems to be the anti-Bud...very strict, sometimes too much, but he isn't one to turn a blind eye. I would have more respect for Arod if he had just come out and said "I wanted to be the best so I took the steroids" instead of this "I was young and naive" shit.

Terrel Suggs also got franchised tagged
-
The crazy thing is, he seemed to get more durable the older he got...and remember, he had his best season in '07....he is going to go somewheres and do good I think it's crazy the Jags released him. i think this will hurt MJD in the long run also.

Some requests: Alan Moore's Swamp Thing Hellblazer Planetary Y:The Last Man I just finished the Joker OGN by Brian Azzarello, an entire collection of Hellboy/BPRD comics, and Grant Morrison's Batman run

I'm not quite in the same boat, size wise, but I've got a bunch of comics on my computer I'm willing to send anyone. I've got: The Umbrella Company 1-6+the short story for DHP Northlanders 1-7 Stray Bullets My problem is I usually delete them after reading them, but just got external memory for them. For anyone interested I'm currently downloading Grant Morrisson's Batman, the entire Will Eisner's Spirit, and trying to convert my entire Moon Knight collection to digital.

Harrison should get fined and then some for that stupid shit he pulled. It's the Super Bowl, everyone is watching you, you're the Defensive Player of The Year, and you come off like a thug God,cannot believe he is the DPOTY -
This is an off shoot of the Future HoFers thread. This is for guys who you think is very good, btu not quite Hall of famers. The solid but unspectacular, The Overlooked gems, etc. Post why you think they deserve to be a HOVGer, but not a HoFer. My nominees: Derrick Mason He has solid stats: 790 recs, 10061 yards, and 52 TDs, but he isn't an elite WR. The fact that he doesn't bring any attention to himself probably keeps him out of the HoF, he would need a ring to get in. But for the HOVG? Most certainly. He has the tenure(12 years of solid years). He plays through pain(He played msot of this post season pretty mcuh with one arm) and he is a solid team player. If he gets a ring, I can see an argument for HoF but I think he fits in the Hall of Very Good for right now.
