We finally have an actual dumbass Boston fan on these boards. Pick on him and leave the rest of us alone. Thank you for illustrating my point.

I guess the Patriots just can't do anything right. They blow teams out and they're "running up the score." Then they have two close games and suddenly there is a blue print for beating them. It seems childish for the Ravens to react the way they did and it's no wonder the officials were calling them "boys." They certainly displayed no dignity in the loss. The Patriots having been playing great all season. That's a hard thing to accept when you're blinded by hatred and jealousy. Someday, all the "Patriot haters" will look back and be able to say "Those were some great teams they had back then" and they'll be wishing they had appreciated greatness when it was in front of them. 35-17, Patriots over Steelers.

Tom Brady really knows how to use the force. I like to call him the "new Larry Bird."

I know the pain is gone for me, aided by the successes of the Patriots.

Have you ever seen such a whiney bunch of bitches? For them to say that the refs stole the game from them is ridiculous. They were mugging the Pats receivers on every play. But, that's what the Raven's do.

We can talk until we're blue in the face about TNA's problems. But, what about solutions? I have a solution, fire Mike Tenay. He was the real downfall of WCW. Also, it's purely speculation, but I think Tenay had something to do with Scott Hall missing the PPV. I think the sound of Tenay's voice made ill.

The Internet is Hurting The Business: Part 1
majormayhem1 replied to JPopStarKami's topic in General Wrestling
Back when I first started watching wrestling, we had to wait to see what was going to happen until the next week. We would speculate as to what might happen, but there was no way of finding out except to wait. There was a lot of anticipation and one had to be patient. Perhaps it's just a reflection of the society of "instant gratification" that we live in. Fans are always waiting for the next big spot and don't want to be bored with a wear down hold that might make the match better and the next big spot more exciting. Back when I was a kid, we had to wait a year to see a title change hands, compare that to Bob Backlund's six-year title reign, and now if someone has the a title for 4 months they are considered a great champion. The world has changed, fans have changed, and wrestling has changed. The internet is only part of the problem. -
Bull Moose is great. Can you give us a match listing?

Kim vs. Kong is the only feud worth watching in wrestling today. It proves that the basic "good vs. bad" formula still works. I hope they have the rematch on Thursday.

Seriously people. You shouldn't be so literal. So, let's rephrase the question, "If your house were "hypothetically" involved in a fire, and you could only grab 3 of your favorite DVD's/VHS and/or Beta/Reel-to-Reel/etc. that held wrestling content on them, and they weren't in a box, or if they were in a box, the box wasn't by your bed/living/kitchen/bath/game/jacuzzi/garage/laundry/parlour/pool room window and the wrestling tape fairy told you to grab your 3 favorites without any of your family members risking death (pets included), which would you choose?" Ah, fuck it. Who cares? Let's just forget the question and talk about why Chris Daniels is so great.

You're absolutely right. By the way, you managed to spell pajamas wrong and hurt my feelings all in one post. Anyway, C.M Punk vs. Shelton Benjaman would make for some great wrestling. Actually, his spelling of pyjamas was right. Yeah, that's all I've got to add to this discussion. Oh, guess I should get a new dictionary. Maybe I really am a moron

I have a different take on this and maybe it's because I'm a Hulkamaniac. Hogan's interviews were always over the top, but that's what made him who he was. The early interviews from 1986 and on, with the pom poms hanging down in his eyes, were pure Hulkamania. He painted a picture with his words, telling the Hulkamaniacs that all they had to do was hold on to the largest arms in the world and he would swim them to safety. You could tell when he started to burn out, though, just by watching him talk to "Mene" Gene. By 1993, he was trying to portray the same intensity on the mic and it wasn't working. During the NWO days, he said the same things he had been all along. The difference was that the fans had changed and he was a heel. Therefore, all he had to say was "I am the God of wrestling, bow down before me." And, for those who didn't like him, it drew quite a reaction. For those that did, he was just preaching to the choir. I would vote Hogan as being one of the best promo guys. His intensity made him who he was. I agree. We all have to remember that this was the Super Hero era of the WWF, the over the top stuff sold. Most of the time you couldn't understand what he was saying so you had to listen real close. His physical actions told the spoke volumes. The snorting, bellowing, etc.

Norton seemed like the true enforcer of the NWO. I liked using his character on WCW/NWO World Tour.
-
Does Double A get proper credit? I felt he never had the same promo twice.
-
I'll go with Lee Smith, Don Mattingly and Dale Murphy as players I'd personally like to see in the Hall. Chuck Knoblauch? I don't think so. Remember when he threw the ball into the dirt on a routine throw to first base during the Yankees/Red Sox series in the 1999 playoff series.

With the benoit thing and the major focus of death and drugs in wrestling wwe didn't want to release a dvd a month later that constantly talks about young wrestlers dying. Heroes of world class was fantastic. I see, thanks for the explanation.

"Two hearts beating as one." Ha Ha

Oh, I see. A talent exchange. What a great idea. How did Raw get left out of that one?
-
My issue isn't with C.M. Punk. The inconsistency of the booking creates a lot of confusion for me.
-
One thing I like about ECW is that they have squash matches. Shelton's match had a great ending. If C.M. Punk isn't wrestling on ECW, does this mean A) he'll be moving to RAW or Smackdown permanantly. B) It builds ECW up more by having their champion on the other shows. 3) The writers for the WWE lack creativity and continuity. Answer: 3. Big Daddy V and Mark Henry are a good team and should squash Miz and Morrison, like, immediately!

As much as I love Greg Valentine, he had to be the worst promo in wrestling from 1989 and on, rambling and bumbling, pumping his fists, with a fiery look in his eyes and tidlewave bangs. He seemed more relaxed and confident during his I-C and tag title runs. All in all, I think he should have been more like "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton or "Mean" Mike Enos, and stayed silent while the manager talked. "British Bulldog" was pretty bad, too. He seemed to get ahead of himself, eventually finishing the promo five times. But, it was always entertaining watching their interviews. Worst promo ever: Brutus Beefcake, WrestleMania I.

Just wanted to ask if anybody knew of any Indy promotions in the North Florida region.
