Surely you're talking about Massachussettes Patriot fans and not fans from Maine, Vermont, or New Hampshire.

Did this piss you off because Al Snow lost or because a mannequin got beat by a bottle of Head and Shoulders?

What'd you do, show up to an abnormal psychology course for only the third day? Have you seen the Chargers?

I saw the Family Guy episode with Tom Brady last night. So much for Brady being selective about his non-football engagements.

The alledged Randy Savage ban from WWE.

If he doesn't get it to the hall of fame, does that mean he's not one of the greatest wrestlers of all time? I mean, he's just as famous as Hogan. He's the slim jim guy for crying out loud! -
I think they've done a great job over the past month of building up towards a Chavo/Punk title match and now we have Edge/Punk feud in the works. Now that Edge is involved, there is a good chance Chavo wins the ECW title. One thing that confuses me is why Edge and Chavo are aligning themselves after what happened at the beginning of SmackDown. ECW reminds me a lot of the WCW Power Hour, mostly squash matches with a good feature at the end. The WWE has done well making each brand have its own identity. Although, I could do without the dance-offs every week. Nice to Highlanders out there this week. Shelton really needs to stop the "Ain't no stopping me now" bit. I cringe when I hear it coming. Colin Delaney is great and Tazz interviewing him before each match makes the segment more interesting to watch.

Terribly inaccurate wrestling predictions you made

I thought Flair would beat Hogan at Havoc 94 because there was no way WCW would let a long-time WWF guy go over a near lifelong WCW guy in a retirement match on PPV. Never underestimate the power of Hogan in finishes that make no sense. Why didn't it make sense for Hogan to win? You're talking about a match between the two best wrestlers of the era. WCW signed Hogan to be their main guy so why wouldn't Flair "pass the torch" to Hogan? -
Will Brett Favre lose his mojo this week and leave the door open for the Giants? As much as Fox and ESPN try to convince fans that JV Manning has "arrived" because he's won two playoff games, I'm not buying it. Let's say the Giants and Chargers DO both pull off the upset. My question to the forum is this. Will you watch the Super Bowl?

I thought that Shawn Micheals and Marty Jannetty would reunite by now. But, instead the Rockers are forgotten ala Guns and Roses. -
I understand that everybody wants to cheer for the underdog. But, Phillip Rivers is a schizophrenic. L.T. is mildly retarded and highly overrated. Norv Turner looks like he's half in the bag every Sunday. The whole team suffers from Bi-polar disorder. They are a team of individuals who are only concerned with their own self-promotion. I mean, here they are beating the Colts and L.T. is sitting on the sidelines feeling sorry for himself because he can't play, instead of being happy for his team. The Patriots are going to stuff the Chargers so full of class, L.T. will shitting gold bricks until the preseason.

If we're talking about titles I would say the Florida Marlins. They have won two World Series. With that in mind, their fans don't seem to care one way or the other. So, the answer is: The Colorado Avalanche. Q. Are the outcomes of the big professional sporting events (ie. Super Bowl, World Series, etc.) controlled by Las Vegas? -
Mmmhmm....so you happen to choose the one gimmick RAW out of the year (RAW Roulette, and yes, I'm aware there were a few other 'gimmick' shows, but you get the point) and base the opinion solely on that? In case you didn't realize, it's not every week that the females have a match with a bed in center of the ring, it's not every week that opponents switch clothes, and not every week where there's a strange bedfellows match (that's TNA >_>) where Haas, and Murdoch, who have no connection whatsoever team up. And I don't see how the JBL/Jericho stuff didn't build to the RR. Maybe it didn't get you, excited, but for a match that was basically over Jericho being pushed into JBL, they've gotta build it to a convincing 'hate match' somehow, and I'm sure this has done the job. I'm usually working on Monday's, but I took a sick day so I decided since I was home to put it on. I know that stuff doesn't happen every week. I didn't say the Jericho/JBL DIDN'T build towards RR, I just stated that it didn't do anything to get ME interested in their match, and I've been a Jericho fan since his ECW days. Raw is consistently bad. And your posts consistently suck. Ha!

So you haven't seen any Japanese women's wrestling at all, Trish's feuds with women like Molly or Mickie, Madusa's good stuff from her prime, or anything with the word "SHIMMER" on it? No, haven't seen a lot of Japanese women's wrestling, other than the Jumping Bomb Angels. I saw a lot of Madusa's matches and she always seemed too good. Her opponents couldn't keep up with her. Haven't seen "SHIMMER." I'm glad to know that there is quality women's wrestling out there, though. The way these two particular women work together and the way the feud is presented week after week are the things that intrigue me the most. Kong makes Kim look great without making herself look weak. Bertha Faye/Alundra Blaze and Bull Nakano/Blaze matches were good, but because they were WWF matches, it took something away. As for Trish, she made a lot of improvements in her game and then she retired when she was beginning to catch on. When Trish and Mickie were main eventing on Raw it wasn't because they were having great matches. It was because the entire show sucked. TNA has a lot of good wrestling based themes right now. It speaks volumes about Kong v. Kim that they are in the main event. In regard to Awesome Kong's name, what else could you name her? She's a wrestler and it fits her gimmick.

Wrestlers should watch Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong and take notes. This is by far the best Women's wrestling I've ever seen.

Herb Abrams' UWF begins airing on ESPN Classic next week

I do remember seeing IWCCW on cable a couple times, at least. They had Atlas, like you mentioned. The big angle I remember them promoting at the time was a confrontation between Honky Tonk Man and Rick Rude, over who was the greatest Intercontinental Champion. Of course, the angle actually went nowhere, and the two never even had a match against each other in IWCCW. Even though I was only about 12 at the time, I could even tell the shows seemed really amateur, even compared to GWF at the time. Alot of the action eminated from high school gymnasiums. I actually went and saw an IWCCW house show once. The main event was Koko B. Ware vs. The Tazmaniac. I did the dirty bird dance in the ring with Koko after the match, which is one of the shining moments in my life. -

Shelton had a good promo this week because he didn't shout his catch phrase.

I've always loved Piper's interview after the match. "I'm gonna eat a garage, I'm gonna drive Voyager 3..." What the hell are you talking about, Piper? The Rude/Heenan post-match interview was so good I actually felt kind of sorry for them. Bobby Heenan storms onto the set and is just livid, stumbling over his words. And, the look on "Ravishing" Rick's face as he stares into the camera before walking off the set. Poor guy. The interview was so good they tried to repeat it when Perfect lost to Von Erich at SS '90.

Anybody remember ICW? Mario Savoldi was the promoter and his son, "Jumpin'" Joe Savoldi, wrestled. Tony Atlas was the heel champion managed by "Boston Bad Boy" Tony Rumble. It was a stopover spot for guys who left the WWF. Later on, they supposedly merged with WCCW, and became IWCCW. What I'll never get over is that when ESPN stopped airing pro wrestling (their reason being that pro wrestling wasn't a legitimate sporting competion) they started airing fucking spelling bees. I have the first UWF Pay-Per-View, "Beach Blast" or "Beach Brawl", can't remember exactly what it was called off the top of my head. One good match was Cactus Jack and Bob Orton against Sunny Beach and "Surfer" Ray Odyssey. Something that has always struck me as funny was their world title was called the UWF SportsChannel World Title. -
When I see something bad happen to someone I always like to say "That'll give you a negative attitude."

The New England Patriots had a heel turn this year. I felt like I was watching an old Ric Flair match when they played the Ravens.

In 1991, I thought "Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich was going to be as dominant in the WWF as he had been in WCCW.
