  1. How'd that go down? I've heard it mentioned on a few ROH DVDs (never seen it though) but always figured it was real.

Whats the record for comeback after "retirement"

Did Sullivan actually wrestle in 99?

    X-Pac

He was doing fine until his heel turn in 99. I think it was a combination of his feud with Kane and that weak tag team he had with Road Dogg (which WWF sold as the greatest tag team in history, despite their being together for maybe 6 months and doing nothing significant) that made people start to sour on him. I still think he could've been a serious World Title contender...maybe even a Champion if he had remained face, especially once HHH got the belt.

    Meltzer tries to explan Kane

Out of curiosity, what did everyone think about the locker room interview where Lawler and Paul Bearer were discussing Taker's mom? "Then little Taker came down the stairs and I had to stop him. If he'd have come one step further he'd have seen his mother's legs...one was in New York and the other was in LA!"

A few times recently, most notably against Angle at Mania.

    Batista Interview/Chat

The problem with making judgments based on clips alone is that for the most part, these clips are taken out of context of the actual matches. When you're trying to sell the in-ring product, of course you're not gonna focus on the overall story being told in the matches, you're gonna focus on specific highlights/highspots. WWE does the same thing, and based on clips alone you could make the same statement about them, and for the most part we know that's not true. I don't think anyone's expecting him to put TNA over, but if you're gonna criticize, it'd be nice to have something concrete to base that criticism on.

    Melina vs. Mickie

I love this new trend of airing out feuds over the net. Sooner or later we're not even gonna need those 20 minute promos to sell PPVs--they'll just start posting AIM chat transcripts on Raw and SD.

    Batista Interview/Chat

Anybody know where I can find a transcript of this? It sounds really interesting to read. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=66074&

    Batista Interview/Chat

Not that I've seen enough TNA wrestling to dispute this, but how can he just brush their matches off like that when he's only had the chance to see clips? Good stuff otherwise.

Take your pics (SD vs Raw)

Technically no. In storylines, Rock has permission to be on whichever show he chooses.

    Matches you love

I still say the SummerSlam 98 build was the best all-around PPV build ever. I can't think of anything else that comes close.

    1) Better World Champion? BATISTA or John Cena I like Cena, but Batista seems like the more believable champ to me at this point. 2) Who do you like more in general? Undertaker or Kurt Angle Don't need to explain this one, do I? 3) Better on the mike to you? Eddie Guerrero or Edge Outside of that one promo on Hardy prior to Summerslam, Edge has been fairly bland on the mic IMO. 4) Better In Ring Wrestler? Chris Benoit or Shawn Michaels Chyna. 5) More Entertaining? JBL or HHH JBL's fresher, but I prefer Hunter overall. 6) Better Tag Teams? Legion Of Doom(2005) or Murdoch & Lance Cade I fucking forgot Cade and Murdoch were even on the roster, much less the tag champs. Meanwhile, I do kinda like the LOD team on SD, although they really should take the belts off of them. 7) Who do you favor more? Stone Cold or The Rock I said Rock because Austin's stale as hell to me right now. Might be a different story if we're talking heel Austin, though. 8) also, Better highflier? Rey Mysterio or Rob Van Dam

    Matches you love

Wasn't that the whole point of the feud? They didn't want people to believe that Shawn could beat Taker straight up. They wanted people to pay to see Taker kick his ass. As for matches I love...HBK vs Jarrett from IYH 2--the match gets praise, but not nearly enough as it should IMO. Same for Bulldog/Bret from IYH 5. While I'm on 95 stuff, I've gotta mention the Bret Hart/Jean-Pierre Lafitte matches from IYH 3 and Raw respectively, the Bret/Hakushi Raw match and the Wild Card Match from Survivor Series. And yeah, that Underdog/Bodydonna Survior Series tag was pretty good...I love 95 WWF. Sue me. Prior to SummerSlam 98, there was this big 4-way Tag Title match between Austin/Taker, Mankind/Kane, Rock/D'Lo and the New Age Outlaws. I haven't sat down to watch the match in a few years, but I loved that match when I was younger. For more recent stuff, damn near any Mysterio/Tajiri Cruiserweight title match from 03 and Haas/Benoit from the post-Rumble 03 Smackdown (I love Benoit's selling here).

Yeah, I had Bulldog on the brain for some reason. My bad.

    Old school upsets...

I remember back in 92 around the time that Sgt. Slaughter was doing that...thing he was doing around that time (something like a Commissioner but...not. You know?) there was a match between the Nasty Boys and some jobbers where the Nastys got DQ'd because they kept pulling their opponent up from the pin. They played it as Slaughter's beefing up on the rules or something along that line. Also, there was the Kid and Marty Jannetty going over the Quebeccers for the tag belts prior to Rumble 94. And even they telegraphed it, Kid and Holly winning the belts at Rumble 95. Smoking Gunns beating Bulldog and Owen for the belts surprised me as well.

Think they'll even try to explain why she's working with Vince again after their feud from 03?

Famous People you are related to

Karyn Parsons (Hilary off of Fresh Prince of Bel Air) and the singer Frankie Lymon (Why Do Fools Fall in Love). Also, Jada Pinkett is supposedly a distant cousin of mine but I'm not 100% sure on that one.

    Jay-Z: "I Declare War!"

I dunno. They're two of my favorites, But I think Jay got him. Other than the "You seem to be concerned with dissing women" line in Ether and *maybe* the Biggie line, Nas didn't really get at Jay with anything substantial IMO. Like Inc said, it was a tight song lyrically, but the bulk of the it was name calling. Jay came at him with mostly real stuff that Nas really didn't have a comeback for. I think Nas is probably the better lyricist of the two, but if you're going strictly by the songs I'd have to go with Jay.

    Smackdown VS Raw 2006

That would be tight. Like, maybe they could pull something like in X-Men Legends where you approach...say HBK in the back and you'd get to play a flashback of the WMX ladder match or something along that line.

Who do you guys miss the most

I'm a mark for the females, so I'll throw a mention to Molly and the rest of the women who were cut. And while I don't actually miss him, I do wish Haas was around to work some kinda program with Angle or Shelton.
