It happens to me rarely, but when it does, I'm not ashamed of it. It bothers me more when I make a post in an active thread, and the thing dies immediately after I post. That's been happening to me way too much lately.

More info on the card situation. I talked to another Wachovia rep on Wednesday. She said I didn't need to sign an affidavit about the card (I don't know whether I should be relieved or suspicious about that). Thing is, Wachovia had actually issued me a new card last week (I had a First Union card, and the banks merged sometime last year), and since it was determined that whomever made the charge probably only had my card number and not the my PIN and everything that it'd just be safe to cancel the First Union card and just start using my new card, since it has a different number and everything. That seems like the logical thing to do, and infact, I actually suggested this to the lady I spoke to on Monday, but she said it'd probably be best to cancel that too. I dunno...I took the second clerk's advice, and hopefully, nothing bad comes from this.

I hear a lot about him through hip hop sites, but other than the song "You Never Know" and another song of his I DL'd like a month ago, I haven't heard anything from him so I can't make a fair comment. You got any songs you wanna recommend?

What about Angle/Lesnar? That was shit compared to Wrestlemania. Good is ***. I think I'd rate Brock/Angle II at ** or so. Just too boring. I really didn't care much for either match to tell the truth.

^ LOL. I always found this one kinda funny. In the build up to the DDP/Dave Sullivan match for BATB 95, DDP threatened to cook Dave's rabbit, Ralph, saying something along the lines of "I hope you like your rabbit stew". So during the match, Dave (I think...for obvious reasons, I haven't watched it in ages) hits DDP in the face with a bouquet of roses...which leads Tony to ask, "How do you like you ROSES stew?!"

The One And Only Smackdown Thread 04/15/04

The new Narcissist? Wow. I just turned it on. Did I miss anything good? -
Yeah, I had a hard time holding the tears in after it went down. It was fucked up, because at my school, I was known as the go-to guy for wrestling info, and the day after the accident, everybody and their mom (students, teachers and other faculty) kept coming up to me trying to find out what happened while I'm trying my hardest to put the whole thing out of my mind. I teared up quite a few times that day. Owen wasn't my favorite wrestler by any means, but I always liked him. I remember when I was little, I used to like him because I always wanted him to get out of Bret's shadow, and I remember being happy whenever he'd win a title. Also, I remember being upset that WWF never gave him a run at the top in 98 following Montreal, which was probably my first smarkish reaction. Hell, the day he died, my friend and I had a conversation about how we always wanted him to be Champion, which is another reason his death hit me pretty hard.

I dunno about the actual fall, but I'm sure I saw footage of him being carried out on TV at least once.

I came across DP through my brother a few years back, and while I don't listen to them all that much, I like them and thought their first album was pretty good. I know they just came out with a new album, RBG. I don't have it, but I heard the first single off the album, "Hell Yeah" and I like it. They definitely come strong with the "Kill Whitey" mentality though and are more extreme than PE was in that respect.

For my favs...I'm probably forgetting a lot of stuff, but off the top of my head... "I'm Bad" by LL "One Mic" by Nas "Let's Go" by Kool Moe Dee "I Ain't Mad At Cha" by Pac And since I've gotta pick a Jay-Z song...uh...I'm tempted to say "Lucifer" off of the Black Album (that's probably my favorite song from him right now) but I'll go with "Dead Presidents".

Cornrows. I might get it cut soon, though, because I can hardly find the time to get it done anymore.

Ummm it started with the Pillman/Sullivan feud....oh wait the two groups were already fighting at World War 95....fuck if I know what they were feuding over. All I know is it went on FOREVER! Were they? I'm pretty sure they were allied against Hogan going into at least February.

Hadn't Owen done the stunt before? I remember a Raw in late 98/early 99 where the Blazer dropped from the rafters and got stuck up on the harness. Was that Owen, or someone else.

Was Goldust nearly WWF Champion?
Papacita replied to Danville_Wrestling's topic in General Wrestling
Goldust definitely had World Title heat, but it probably wouldn't have worked. Most of Goldust's heat came from his faux homosexuality, and making him the focal point of the company would've had GLAD all over Vince's back. They probably were planning on giving him a ME run (hence his dropping the gay gimmick following the KOTR loss), but without the gimmick, his heat dropped drastically, so they couldn't have given him the belt. -
I've always liked Brian, and figured it'd only be a matter of time before he was back with the company, but I think it was a pretty dumb move to bring him over to Raw...at least if they have any intention of keeping him as a singles competitor. I really don't understand their logic here. They've got a shortage of tag teams on both brands, and Too Cool was one of the more popular, recognizable teams around when the WWE was at its peak, so wouldn't common sense say to bring him and Scotty back together so that they can add another credible team to the roster? And it's not like Brian was ever really worth anything as a singles competitor, and chances are he'll be stuck spinning his wheels with the likes of Hurricane and the rest on Raw anyway. If they're gonna bring him back, at least make good use of him.

Has Shelton been in yet?

Somebody call it now. Will this be classic or not?

He looks like a damn negative with those bandages on his face.

Call me immature, but I found that slip up by JR to be pretty funny.

Not excellent, but it's been solid enough. Not too much to complain about.

I fell asleep during Smackdown last week. I can't believe they actually thought that Bradshaw thing was a good idea. Are they trying to attract the latino audience or drive them away?
