That's one of the things I liked about the feud, personally. Made things seem a lot more unpredictable to me. And realistic.

When the Dungeon and the Horsemen feuded, both groups were heels.

When Was Time You Cared About The Tag Belts?
Papacita replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
I cared about the Smackdown belts before they put the belts on the Bashams. For the original belts...I stopped caring about them sometime in 2000. I liked E&C, but felt they got the belts too many times in a short time span. Once they hit four reigns, it just stopped being interesting to me. -
Not sure what happened with him after I stopped watching in 98, but he started off as a heel with the Dungeon, teased a face turn in early 96 (against Sting?) then went back to the Dungeon, was default face against Hogan at Hog Wild, joined the nWo in late-August or September, got kicked out in December, and remained face for all of 97 before rejoining the nWo in 98. Am I missing anything?

Funny thing about that was that I attended the show and really didn't find the match all that great (I liked it, but didn't think it was the classic that smarks were claiming it was), but after watching the tape last week, I loved it. As for stuff I used to like...definitely the 4 corners TV title match from Heat Wave 96. I *LOVED* that match back in 96 and actually considered it my favorite ECW match for the longest. I popped in the tape about a month ago and was very disappointed. HBK/HHH from SummerSlam 02 is also up there. I loved it live, but after a couple more viewings, it didn't hold up. It also didn't help that HBK continued wrestling afterwards...the match would've been fine as a send off for Shawn, but now it's just another match...and a bad one at that.

Abe was a busy man this week. My opinion pretty much falls in line with everything that's been posted. NYU is an excellent writer and is putting out great stuff off the bat. The Zack/Sly was great, although with the way it was built up, I was expecting him to come out and tell the world that Zack had a fake ass or something. Still, it I also liked Dan Black and the whole Jivin' Jim thing, and Crystal's thing with the perverted cameraman was cool.

Test hasn't really been that bad as far as turns go. Big Show probably doesn't have the most, but he's definitely up there.

I'm conflicted. I had planned on having Panther take the week off due to the situation with Tina...but then I realized that it's April 15th, and there's an OBVIOUS opponent for him that I'd wanna use. No clue how I'm gonna work this out.

Uh...this could be a result of me doing a very bad job of skimming, but my stuff seems to be missing.

Regal was more McMahon's boy than he was E & C...at least from what I remember. I didn't have cable from October 2000 to June 2001, so I missed a bunch of Raws.

I'm a little fuzzy on exactly how it went down, but it was basically Money Inc. giving him shit about the loss to the Kid (did Dibiase try and hire him as a butler or something?). Razor then cost Ted a match with the Kid on an episode of Superstars or Challenge.

The Eugene Character Was Nick Dinsmore's Idea
Papacita replied to BoboBrazil's topic in The WWE Folder
I doubt it......I don't specifically remember the thread, but I remember many people being upset over Austin walking out on an angle that could have done wonders for bringing Eddie and Benoit into the Main Event. People did respond to it in that way (just like there are people who responded negatively to the Brock situation), but at the time of the walk out, overall, I'd say most of people on the board supported Austin for sticking it to HHH and the creative. -

You know, I seem to remember most people on the board being behind Austin's decision to walk out. -
The Eugene Character Was Nick Dinsmore's Idea
Papacita replied to BoboBrazil's topic in The WWE Folder
I really hate this kind of logic and I've been seeing it on these boards more and more lately. If HHH, under the same or similar circumstances, actually attacked a fan and people on here started calling for his head, then you'd have a point. Neither of those things have happened, so it's not even worth making the comparison. As for Dinsmore...I think that the Eugene character is stupid, but like someone else said, I do feel more comfortable that it was his idea rather than having it forced on him by creative. If it's his idea, he'd have a better understanding of how the character should work, and hopefully that'll come across well on TV. Also, assuming that he has more control over the gimmick, he might have the freedom to make necessary adjustments to the character in order to get it over with the crowd. -
Media post: Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko Vs. Raven
Papacita replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
Great match. Thanks Deon. -
The original What do you think of me trend was much worse. While we're at it, grade Crono T and Astro as well.
-
Grade cutthroat.

I'll take this, dynamite. Give me a couple of days though.

Well, Vader was supposed to beat Shawn, and Faarooq was probably scheduled to go over Ahmed for the I-C Title, so if the match was scheduled to air the night after SummerSlam (and not the Raw Championship Friday show they aired after the US Open, which featured the Goldust/Michaels match), then I can see Ahmed going over via DQ or something in order to set up a rematch for Mind Games, where Vader would probably go over. Not a dream match by any means, but Ahmed was pretty over in 96/early 97, so I can see it happening.

Somewhat off-topic, but is Kurt retiring as a wrestler?
-
I liked Heyman better. If Kurt couldn't wrestle, I'd rather have him as a manager than a GM.
-
What about Foley? Austin's a horrible dresser as well.

I like Cena's gear, but I've always had love for jerseys and fitteds. Batista has been bringing it though the last few months. The Mania suit stands out, and I remember a Raw a few months back where he was all decked out in the long black coat, red scarf and everything. It's definitely between him and Flair.

X-Men and the Turtles Arcade game are definitely up there. Double Dragon was cool too. Never played 3, but I liked SOR 1 and 2.

That's a sorry ass way to build the match. Could they have just had Edge come out and cut a promo or something and have them get into a confrontation from there?
