Why'd they all turn on Brock?
-
Austin said it first on Raw.
-
Brock's the personification of Smackdown? I'm guessing the show's gonna walk right off the air after Mania then.
-
Congrats man, and good luck.
-
I'm not feeling this promo by Eddie.
-
What was so bad about 99? Aside from the ME, I always thought that it was a fun little show.
-
Sting is one of my all-time favorites and I haven't seen him since 98 or so, so I'd be all for it if they brought him in. I think he'd fit in on Raw a little better than he would on Smackdown though.

Just out of curiosity, am I the only person here that has Spring Break this week and not next?

Well...hope I don't sound too harsh, but there's not much to rate there. You just took a pic and slapped some text on it (which is understandable, since you were using paint). Even with that, I don't like the font choice (too bland) or the placement of the text (that text area at the bottom looks a little crowded). It'd look a little better if you got rid of that font and either made the font size a little smaller or if you moved some of it around a bit (the "CanadianChick" could go in the upper left hand corner next to Edge's head, making more room for the rest). For what it is, (and since it was your first try) I'll give it a 5/10.

Apparently, you seem to have forgotten the magic that was the Lex Express. I've STILL got my wristband, BABY~! Nah, I'm lying. I never had a wristband in the first place.

Out of the one's I've seen, I thought last year's was the worst. I honestly can't remember anything good about the show. A lot of people hate on 95, but outside of Diesel/Mabel, the show never really bothered me.

So, we have it with the heel blowing it twice, the face injuring the heel, and the heel coming back to avenge an injury? And people are supposed to care? That's a worst-case scenario, but it's not impossible to make that work. I'm not so sure that it's not impossible. Again, it all depends on how it's played up. They could probably let Eddie go over Kurt at Mania (preferably clean, but having him cheat to win would fit the storyline). Post-Mania, Kurt snaps and injures Eddie with the anklelock. Eddie wants revenge, so the rematch is signed for Judgment Day. Kurt dominates most of the match by exploiting the injured ankle, but late in the match, the ref is bumped. Kurt goes for the anklelock, Eddie counters into one of his own and makes Kurt tap, but there's no ref to catch it. Eddie breaks the hold to wake the ref, allowing Kurt to pull a foreign object, KO Eddie for the win. A second ref comes down after the match and reverses the decision, Kurt's gets pissed, tries to re-injure Eddie but Eddie again turns the tables with an anklelock on Kurt, holding onto it so long that he injures Kurt's ankle. Over the next few months, we give Kurt a series of vingettes (sorta like the Brock/Cena stuff from last year) in which he goes into semi-psycho mode, talking about how he should be the champion, how the WWE snatched his dream away from him and how he's coming back to take what's his, ruin Eddie's life and make the WWE suffer for ruining his dreams (or something along those lines). He comes back after Vengeance and goes on a path of rage leading into the rematch at SummerSlam. It's probably not the best scenario, but I don't think it'd be all that hard for people to buy into.

My break is half over. I've spent the past few days sleeping, watching TV and posting here. Yeah, life is good.

Probably the travel schedule. How many international tours have they been on in the last year?
-
That'd have been good if they didn't turn Kurt before Mania. That's why I would've preferred a face vs face match.

Goodear, that's pretty close to what I was thinking, actually. With him believing so deeply in his cause against Eddie, I could easily see him turning that into a semi-psychotic rampage after the loss (maybe have him randomly run in people's matches and put the anklelock on people...or something like that). That, or maybe they could run an angle where Kurt injures Eddie sometime before Judgment Day, Eddie somehow steals a second win from Kurt, injuring him in the process, then having Kurt return for revenge at Vengeance, which in addition to setting up the SummerSlam match would give Kurt a chance to heal up if his neck is giving him trouble. Maybe, but something like that would probably give them more time to build up the guys they've got now. Hotshotting people from Raw to Smackdown is just a quick fix and if it's not well thought out, it could do more to disrupt the show than it'd do to help it. If down the line they see fit to move people over, then so be it, but for now I think they'd be better off just working with what they've got. And they should keep Edge on Smackdown.

He blows two PPV title shots in a row. People generally don't become big contenders after that. All depends on how you play up the loss. Plus you've got a lot of time between Judgment Day and SummerSlam. If the issue between Eddie and Kurt is kept alive, it wouldn't be all that hard to for fans to accept a third match between those two. Kurt would probably have to win that one though if he plans on staying around.

Well the reason I said Show needs to be kept strong is because he already has a PPV win over Eddie, which would logically place him in line for a title shot soon. Thing is, it'd be a little hard to sell Show as a title contender coming straight off a loss to Cena, so the win over Taker would serve to build him up so that Eddie can knock him down at Vengeance. Basically, when all's said and done, Eddie gets his job back from No Mercy. As far as "killing off" Angle...I never said anything about killing him off. I'm just saying that'd be be the most logical solution IMO for the next show without scrambling to find someone to fill Brock's void. Anything could happen during the Judgment Day match, and a loss there doesn't necessarily kill Kurt off. If I was seriously booking, I'd probably save the final blowoff between those two for something like SummerSlam. I'm not saying I'd just put Rhyno over Cena and let that be that, but I'd probably give those two a healthy feud over the U.S. Title in the immediate future (which Cena would definitely win, BTW) to help build up Rhyno as a credible heel, to help build the title up as a more credible belt (WWE needs a strong upper-midcard title) and hopefully give Cena more time to develop as a face character. Cena's over, yes, but I'd say right now, he probably not the best choice for WWE Champion, because his character is too one-dimensional. I say give him a strong U.S. reign, maybe a *good* feud or two to give him a little more character depth, and then he can be sent into main event. But in the meantime, if we're grooming Cena for the main event status, I see no reason why we can't take someone along with him.

First off, I really don't feel that WWE should be panicking to find someone to replace Brock immediately, because they've still got a good amount of time between now and their next SD PPV to figure out what to do. As of right now, I think the most logical thing to do would be to continue the Angle/Eddie feud into a Judgment Day rematch. Next to Brock, Angle's SmackDown's most established main eventer, he's already got a storyline going so it'd be the easiest thing for fans to accept. I still like the idea of Kurt losing at Mania, snapping and attacking Eddie afterwards, so they could probably go that direction if they wanted to build towards a rematch between those two. They'll probably have to run another Taker/Show program because Show's the most established heel on the roster next to Brock and Angle, but I don't really like the idea of Show jobbing at Judgment Day (I think he needs to be kept strong for a title match with Eddie), so I'd probably have Kane jump to SmackDown and cost Taker the match, allowing those two to continue their feud into SummerSlam or whatever. Again, it's an established rivalry so it's easier to sell to the fans, and hopefully if Taker stays occupied with Kane, he'll stay away from everybody else. As for who should step up...I would say right now, they should have Rhyno return to his old psychotic ways and have him run a U.S. Title program with Cena. I dunno how it'd be accepted, since he's been jobbed out relentlessly since the whole Benoit feud last year, but they've already established his association with Heyman, and Heyman's had issues with Cena. I'd have Paul send Rhyno out to fuck Cena up on the first post-Mania SmackDown and move from there. Also, while I doubt they'd do this, I'd use the void created by Lesnar for the Cruiserweight division. They've got a few characters in the division (Mysterio, Chavo, Noble) that the fans really seem to be connecting with. They could probably benefit a lot from extra TV time.

With the talk of tonight's Raw being one of the worst WM builds ever (which I think is an exaggeration given the build we got to WMX8), I'm curious as to what you all feel was the best Mania build. For me, my all around favorite build was for WMXIV (Shawn/Austin/Tyson, Taker/Kane [lightning or not, I liked it], Shamrock/Rock, Mero/Sable/Goldust/Luna, and even the Outlaws/Funk & Cactus build). The WM13 build is up there too, if only because it gave us Bret Hart's imfamous tirade on the final Raw before the show ("frustrated isn't a goddamn word for it, THIS IS BULLSHIT!") For individual matches, some of my favorites were Taker/HHH for X-7, Taker/Diesel and Shawn/Bret for XII (Taker's mind games and I loved the training videos for the Ironman match), and maybe Shane/X-Pac for XV.

I hope you're not referring to those bullshit LA Times reports that came out a little while back.

I think it's being done by creative as an excuse to say that they're doing something with Hardy without actually having to put any thought or effort into it. Brian's excuse sounds like a good one. Edit: It could lead to Matt getting a "bodyguard" and/or stable down the line that'll help him cheat to win. I dunno.

I never really got into BIG outside of what was played on the radio (because my mom wouldn't let me buy the CDs, lol), but "Hypnotize" was probably my favorite from him.
