Papacita replied to Hank Kingsley's topic in Brandon Truitt
Ah...I'm sure it's worth something on the black market. I mean, who wouldn't pay good money for this stuff. :Flips through wallet: I mean, look at this...credit cards...driver's license...nude Chris Benoit pics...hey wait a minute. What the hell?! -

I might pick a Raw up every now and then, but I stopped reading WWE magazine sometime in 2000. Say what you will about Raw, but they do have some pretty good articles in there from time to time, and I hope that they don't suddenly decide to start kayfabing everything.

Not to get caught up in these morbid superstitions, but it bugs me out that both LOD and Freddy Blassie made surprise appearances on that show, and now only months later, Blassie and Hawk are dead.

Guerreros still have the tag belts, right?

It's funny to say something like that and watch someone go nuts over it. Maybe Henry just left to soon before someone could tell him that it was alright? Nah, they could've got him if they really wanted to. Also, just wanna make clear that I'm not trying to make a bigger deal out of it than it is. Honestly, I could care less about what they do to one another on the road, especially if Mark's taking it well. I just know that if I was in his shoes, I'd have raised hell once I got to the show.

Not to come down on you Rico, but you DON'T know him. How do you know whether or not he'd be mad about it? As for Mark Henry...I dunno. Maybe I just *DON'T* have the same sense of humor as the rest of you, because that seems mean as hell to me. Although I wonder why the hell Mark didn't check with any of the road agents or officials before getting off the plane. I mean, yeah, Ric's a legend and all, but get some OFFICIAL word before making a 10 hour drive. Still, they could've at least tried to stop him before he got off the plane. Edit: Typo. Why is everyone all down on Nature Boy for this, or taking it seriously like Henry should have a shot at complaining to the office? He should be pissed at himself for being such an idiot. I can't get over how stupid this is. This is one of the STUPIDEST things I've ever heard of. Goddamn. Everyone down on Flair? There have been exactly two posts in here saying that the rib was wrong...both from me. Also, I never said anything about Henry complaining to the office. I said it was dumb of him to get off the plane without checking with an official first to make sure the whole thing was legit. And Henry's stupidity aside, my thing is that someone could've at least at least had the courtesy to tell him "hey, Ric was just kidding" before he got off to make the drive. Like I said...maybe it's just my sense of humor, but that seems wrong as hell to me.

Damn. I had been hearing rumors that he was sick for a while, but still, this is sad to hear. I was always a Rerun fan. Too many people dying this year.

I think Eddy and Chavo vs WGTT would be better than Eddy/Chavo. It would give Haas and Benjamin something constructive, and also, I think Chavo's turn would come across much better if it happened on PPV than if they just did it on TV. I like the idea of a Cruiserweight Survivor Series match.

Speedy was the shit. I marked like hell for the Roadrunner race... *marvels at the fact that he used a wrestling term to describe a Looney Tunes episode...without a hint of sarcasm* Wow. Anyway, Coyote vs Roadrunner would probably be the favorite, followed by theBugs and Daffy. And I gotta throw a nod to Speedy vs Sylvester/Daffy because Speedy was so damn cool.

Aww...just take the fun out of it.

I dunno about conversation, but that seems like a good way to catch an ass whooping around here. And I do tend to bite my tongue to keep from offending people, so that's something I could definitely work on. My biggest thing is that after "Hi. How are you doing?", I just have a really hard time keeping conversations going...and everything I say sounds very forced. For example, last week, I was on the train talking to one of my professors, and when I couldn't think of anything to say, I started asking a bunch of OBVIOUS questions about the syllabus just to break the tension. "So...tests are worth FIFTEEN percent of the grade...I see." Either that happens, or I just end the convo entirely and come off looking rude. Eh...

You know, I was thinking of starting a thread on this, but since No Mercy 2000 was brought up, I'll say it here... I still think Angle got the World Title way too soon. Nothing against Angle, because I've always liked him, but there was no need to shoot him up to the World Title that quickly, especially when they had other, more established wrestlers capable of holding the belt at that time. I say that the best bet would've been turning Jericho at SummerSlam by having him steal Steph away from Hunter and Kurt, then have him go on to beat Rock for the title at Survivor Series.

As a serious question, have you seen the Austin/Foley WWF title rematch from Over the Edge? It was the turning point for Russo's brand of "Sports Entertainment" that worked on SOOOO many levels. If you haven't seen it yet, I URGE you to watch it. I haven't seen it in a couple of years, but even as a mark, it was nothing special to me. Plus I didn't like the ending...just came off too fake. For a straight up match, I liked the Unforgiven match better than the Over the Edge one.
