Gentlemen, I mean no disrespect to your board. I just want to be a contributor like everyone else. If you want to get shitty with me, that's fine. I'll just bask in the glory of being the heel of thesmartmarks forum, I really don't give a shit. If you think I'm full of it, you are entirely mistaken. I could prove it by posting my phone book, but you know, you just aren't that deserving Heh....

You know, I'm just not going to concern myself with the ignorance of responses like this. Sure, you fuckin' rule. When HTM is sleeping on your couch after a show, come talk to me.
-
HAHAHA!!! Classic, mellowvengeful, classic! Thanks for that! There's nothing worse than being the "new guy" on a board, and I appreciate your humor. BTW...my backyard DOES count, since it has seen the likes of Bundy, HTM, Hawk, Corino, and many great indy workers at my BBQs!
-
Promoter/booker/ring announcer/indy owner. Your backyard doesn't count. Well then I guess I cant count my 35 years of expertise Interesting...your MySpace says you're 27.
-
When you run the most successful indy in your state for five years, then maybe...JUST MAYBE, your sarcasm will matter. I really would like to contribute, and I am, to this board. I don't think I'm educating anyone here. This IS thesmartmarks, right? But I will say this. I have seen more, done more in this business than most (can't say all, 'cause I can't be certain) of the members here. Have you smoked a joint with the late, GREAT Hawk? Have you split a fifth of Beam with HTM? Prolly not.
-
You and your sarcasm can blow me. I may be new to the board, but I bring something to it. All I've seen is this amorous lean toward Punk, and I figured it was time for a reality check. I would imagine I have about 20 years in life on you and about 15 years of wrestling business on you, so keep your sarcasm to yourself. [Just to be straight...my apologies for being so brash. This is an "edit", but I will not delete mt preceding statement, since it is exactly how I feel.]

It's really not about how long he's been doing it on the indy scene, that's irrelevant in the WWE's eyes. Once you join the WWE, you're more or less green. Everything is their way, since they've always acted like the only game in town. As far as Regal is concerned, again, irrelevant. My point is Punk is not and will not be able to represent the WWE the way the "powers that be" expect to be represented. I honestly suspect this is a way to cool some of the heat the press has been giving the WWE since the Benoit incident. Is it just coincidence he won the title around the one year anniversary? I think not. There is a very political game behind promoting wrestling, and although I think it was a good move, Punk really is a political move on the WWE's part...sorry.

Arquette was a fuckin' blight on the industry, and frankly, I don't recognize him as a champion in any plane of existence. As far as Punk is concerned, he's the epitome of 60% of the workers that wanted to work for me... ...dressed in black and greasy. NOT a good look for a champion by any stretch of the imagination.

So how does CM Punk not deserve it? He has the reactions, a large number of matches under his belt and, while no really great matches while in WWE, a handful of good ones. Otherwise we have a bunch of also rans who shouldn't be carrying the title right now, but will get their chance again or JBL who can't carry the belt right now and argubaly shouldn't have in the first place. That's a good start. Also, I think Jericho hit the nail on the head when he said he deserved the shot (and the title, IMO). The only reason CM Punk is champ is because he's clean. He doesn't do 'roids or drugs. It looks good for the WWE. But, one thing I learned when I was involved with the business... You have to EARN your role in wrestling. I don't feel CM has. I don't think Regal thinks so, either, with the stiff ass shots he was dishing out! Love him all you want, but CM is not championship material, and it pains me to see him wearing the belt Flair made so prominent.
-
Well, I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for this, but... Mike as GM is like CM as champ... neither one deserve it, represent it well, or will last long. There, I said it. To reiterate... THE FUCKIN' BELT IS TOO BIG ON CM. He hardly wears it well. Apparently, the bookers agree with me, since he can't beat anyone other than Regal (which is simply "paying dues" on the heels of his suspension). He and Adamlee will be just a footnote in WWE history... ...THANK GAWD!

"The-powers-that-be" like Punk, due to his "clean" image in a sea of steroid abusers. Let's face it, things are going to change in the coming years, and physiques like Batista's and HHH's , just to name a couple, are going to be history. With all the pressure the WWE has been/will be getting, they are going to have to stick with their wellness policy. CM Punk was pretty much declared a role model in the heat of the 'roid rage controversy. He'll be holding that belt for some time to come, as the major players fight amongst themselves for the shot at him. I can see a decent reign, with everyone else feuding and taking the attention away from Punk and the title. I will absolutely VOMIT, if Cena gets it back any time soon. As much as I respect his in-ring ability, I see his title reigns as desperate attempts to get him over with the fans. If it hasn't happened yet, I don't think it ever will.

Oh yeah, almost forgot... Jobbers on RAW?!?! But, good promo for Dibiase and Rhodes after the useless match.
-
For those of you that thought this was a good Raw, you're still high on the adrenaline of the opening segment. Since the end of the opening segment, it was nothing more than a let-down. An incredible opening sets the pace for an incredible show, and they simply didn't deliver. The Jillian/Mickie match was useless, as all diva matches are. JBL challenging was good. It establishes what most veterans should be thinking about a "punk" champion. The Jericho DQ was an insult to any wrestling fans intelligence. Kane/Noble was the comedy relief of the show, and served it's purpose. Cena returning with Cryme Tyme was pathetic, at best. The Good: Punk wins title. The Bad: The rest of the show. The Ugly: A DQ for something EVERYONE knows is a five-count, at worst.

Thank you for the quick reply. If you like pinball, I'll post the links on how to get it when I finish!

I know I'm new around here, but I assure you, I'm not new to wrestling Anyway, I have some requests, too, to help me finish my Four Horsemen pinball, as pictured below: I would have started my own topic, but my permissions aren't set, yet. I only need the Starrcade '89 Theme to finish! Also, if you have any links to great animated GIFs, so I can complete the DMD, that would be truly awesome. It looks something like this:
