It should be King/Jericho at WM 25. I am going to have a great laugh when Jericho is forced to job to 3 60 year olds at WM 25 after watching Shane beat up all of Legacy by himself a month before.

Legends of WrestleMania

I understand where you are coming from. I appreciate that THQ/Yukes decided to make a new engine. The problem though is that the game is shallow, gameplay is broken and there isn't much else. I cant hit every major move in Smackdown within 30 seconds. The comp ai usually blocks everything that I go for that is powerful and I have to work my way up. I do think it is kind of stupid that you work your way up in LoWM and after hitting your finisher you drop down to doing simple bodyslams. It is probably even more frustrating if the comp reversed your finisher. THQ should have worked on gameplay, gameplay, gameplay and CAL. I can understand that some wrestlers couldnt get into the game, THQ knew that people were going to create these wrestlers by putting their parts in the game. It's beyond crazy to think that THQ didn't bother putting their moves/finishers. I would have much rather seen non broken gameplay and correct moves than a stupid Legend Killer mode and Recreate, Relive, Redefine mode. They are both a waste of space and a waste of developers time. Lets also mention that people have beat this game and collect all 1000 achievement points/trophies in one day. What else is there to do? Play exhibition mode with broken gameplay and use created legends with the wrong movesets. The chain finishers for LoWM was a nice thought but shouldn't have been put into place. You cant pull of your finisher out of nowhere, the chain leads to morphing of wrestlers all over the ring and you can only use the ones for official wrestlers. In Randy Ortons chain finisher on Mr Perfect it goes from Mr Perfect laying on his back away from Randy Orton for the stomp and right after the stomp it goes to Mr Perfect laying on his face towards Randy Orton for the RKO. For Mr Perfects chain finisher he does a Stand Dropkick which knocks out Randy Orton, Orton in the next second is back on his feet without getting up and gets knocked in the head by Mr Perfect towards the outer part of the ring. In the very next second after that both men are standing in the middle of the ring as Mr Perfect does the PerfectPlex. When did Orton get up? -

Each wrestler doesn't have a variation in moves? I am just tempted to create the legends that I want in Smackdown 2009 and just use that. I am also just tempted to get a month of gamefly for $15 dollars and rent Legends. I am sure the game is going to be in high demand due to the amount of people that do not want to buy it. -

THQ just used "arcade" as an excuse for the game being very shallow and lacking alot that should have been put into it. Looking back at WCW/NWO World Tour and Revenge were very shallow games. The roster and the gameplay for each game were A Plus. That was the main feature of why people played each game for hundreds of hours and still do. I would much rather have THQ/Yukes release the game with 50 Legends, Import Feature and a great CAL/CAW. Relive, Rewrite and Redefine seems like a waste of space, time and gameplay. You can do any of those matches in exhibition and make it up the way you go. Lets not forget that half the matches in it flat out suck because of certain wrestlers not being in the game. Savage, Steamboat, etc. So does the whole legend killer aspect. It's a glorified gauntlet match. -

How many copies would they sell if the release an updated roster on the No Mercy engine? It's sad that wrestling games haven't progressed in terms of gameplay in the past decade. The Thq Aki/Asmik games released from 1997-2000 were the best ones every made. The controls were arcade in a way because they were simple and anyone could pick it up and play it well. The gameplay was pure simulation. Matches lasted 15-20 minutes, ton of moves were pulled off and the endings felt real. It's funny because you go on the message boards and you see thousands of people begging for an updated game using that engine. It makes me wonder if THQ really wants to make money. The other funny thing is that the first Smackdown games were absolute shit compared to WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy and it was the Smackdown engine that got carried over into the next generation after PSX. The Nintendo gamecube owners got screwed over in WrestleMania 18 and 19. God the gameplay was beyond putrid and who the fuck wants to do a backstage streets of rage assault against security guards in 19? -
WrestleMania Roundtable Part Four:2000 to 2004

WrestleMania XIX killed wrestling for me for awhile. I remember being upset that Michaels didn't put over Jericho and this was before Michaels decided to come back full time. I am not even going to go into the ending of HHH/Booker T. HHH pedigree on Booker T had Booker T out cold for like 3 minutes it felt like. Complete burial! We were rewarded with a main event feud of Kevin Nash/HHH. -
YO! TSM raps: John Cena in 2009
YourKock'sReallyGreat replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in The WWE Folder
Imdb.com has The Rock listed as making 15 million for Walking Tall and 12.5 million for The Rundown. Both movies came out 5-6 years ago. If John Cena were able to make at least 10 million a picture and do 2 movies a year, he would be retired after WrestleMania. You cant blame The Rock for not wanting to turn into a cripple like Austin, Hogan, etc. -
I just beat the game yesterday. It was alot of fun and much better than most of the crappy reviews it received. I look forward to playing it again to collect everything.

She looks really great with the dark chocolate colored hair. She now looks like any other Italian/Greek Woman from NYC. -
What kind of percentage do the artists get off of each song being sold? I was joking with a friend that rock groups have had people buying their music 3-5 times over for each song. You bought the record, then the cassette, then the cd, then the mp3/4 and now on Rock Band/Guitar Hero.

DLC and it's future in videogames
YourKock'sReallyGreat replied to YourKock'sReallyGreat's topic in Video Games
I hope LoWM gets some DLC. Alternate attires, Movesets, Entrance Attires, etc. -
I was having a conversation with my best friend the other day about Downloadable Content and the role that it plays with videogames today. He is strictly against it due to the fact that developers might hold off on some stuff and release it later for people to spend more money on the game. He's argument is that if you are paying full price for the game you should be receiving 100 percent of the game. He was also saying that if DLC becomes too popular that would just give the developers even more of a reason to release unfinished 100 percent games. I understand the point that he was making. I feel that if a developer wants to add some new skins, weapons, characters, maps and levels a couple of months after the game comes out it is not a big deal. I especially do not mind if the sequels usually take another 2-3 years to come out and the DLC is 5-10 dollars tops. My main problem is when you see DLC coming out for a game that was just released a month or two prior. I understand that the developer is walking a very thin line of when to release it. They have to release it while people are still interested in the game and striking when the iron is hot. It just feels like a ripoff and why wasn't that put into the game already. What do you think the future of DLC is going to be? Are developers just going to release games and then an update every couple of months for the game instead of coming out with sequels? I read a post awhile ago about how someone wants the Smackdown series to be. I think it might be possible on the next gen videogame systems. Their argument is that THQ should release the game lets say it is Smackdown 2012 for the PS4. The game comes out with all the current wrestlers, ppvs, story mode, attires, options, etc. Instead of THQ making Smackdown 2013 they should just come out with DLC every 2 months with New Wrestlers, updated PPV arenas, new moves, Legends, etc. You are still paying 60 dollars every year but instead of buying a new game you are adding to the base of your current game. This persons argument is that if you do this after 3-4 years you would have a base game that had 1000's of moves, a roster around 200, 3-4 attires per wrestler, 70 different arenas, a ton of story modes, etc.

IGN just reviewed the game and gave it a 9.4. I am so much looking forward to this game. I still have to beat Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 before I pick up this game in a month. For those who are interested in buying the game, Amazon.com has it listed for 56.99 with a 5 dollar coupon which brings it down to 51.99. You also can get free shipping and not have to pay tax on the game. Amazon also doesn't charge you on the game until it is shipped. The game ships March 3rd/4th. Coupon: KZ2SAVE5

When does Pedro sign with the Stros? That could be a great potential battery of Pedro to IRod. Wait it's 2009 and not 1999.

Here are some more things that you cannot do in the game. You cannot leave the ring during a ladder match. You cannot climb up the cell during the hell in the cell match. You automatically start out on it each time. You cannot do a diving attack to the outside from the top rope. Great job Yukes! -
UCLA is in some deep trouble right about now. They have let VCU stick around all game and VCU gets the ball with 11 seconds down one. UCLA survives a scare. That final shot was right on line but too soft.

There are quite a bit of front grapples. It just depends on if you are on 1,2 or 3 level. -
It hasn't been mentioned on here but the wife of Liam Neeson had a very serious accident while skiing this past weekend. She is rumored to be brain dead and was being kept alive by life support. It has also been rumored that the machine has been turned off. This must be a very hard time for Liam to have his wife dying like this.

I just read that she suffered her brain injury by taking a tumble down the bunny hill. That is one fucked up fluke death. Further news, she got up after tumbling down the bunny slope and was able to walk back to her room while joking about the incident. An hour later 911 was called due to her complaining about a migraine. -

You cannot transfer Legends to Smackdown 2009. There isn't an import feature. The game just recognizes your Smackdown 2009 save on your Xbox 360/PS3 and unlocks the roster for the game. The Smackdown Roster is on the disc which is why you need the save to unlock it. People are speculating that maybe LoWM can be imported onto Smackdown 2010.
