  1. Agreed. He held probably a thousand Memphis territory titles in his career.

I always liked Lawler though. Hell I grew up watching him at the city park. He was involved in some of the best feuds I've ever seen, mainly Austin Idol.

It's a shame that Memphis never had good quality videos of the "Big" matches. They always occurred at the Mid-South Coliseum where they had the shittiest camera crew ever. A lot of the major matches are pretty much unwatchable by today's standards.

  2. I don't consider ECW or TNA to be a world title, but your mileage may vary.

    Thought of a few others:

    Owen Hart

    Rick Rude*

    Nikita Koloff

    British Bulldog

    Magnum TA

    Christian

    Barry Windham*

    Jerry Lawler**

*Depending on how you view the NWA title post-WCW split

**Depending on how you feel about latter-day AWA

Don't know how you feel about it's legit World Title status, but Lawler also held the World Class World Title. He won it in a unification match against Kerry Von Erich after defeating Curt Hennig for the AWA strap.

  3. Kofi isn't even Jamaican. He's from Ghana.

    Does he know Prince Nana?

Nana would be pissed if he knew that Kofi was teaming with Punk.

Nana would be very much pissed if he knew that.

But, judging from the comments Nana made during his surprise return about 6 weeks ago, he has many reasons to be pissed off.

    Just a couple,

He's wanting a job in Ring of Honor again because he's tired of driving yellow taxi cab.

    He misses shrimp cocktails.

  4. A. Performer Of The Year - the best overall combination of someone who can back it up in the ring but can entertain on promos.

    1. Nigel McGuiness

    2. Chris Jericho

    3. CM Punk

    B. Wrestler Of The Year - the wrestler who can best work a technical match. Though part of "working" is the ability to entertain a crowd (this is why Hulk Hogan can never be called a bad worker - bad mat technician yes, but the man could work a crowd), this is meant for those who may not be over with Casual Joe, but Hardcore Henry says he's the greatest of all time.

    1. Nigel McGuiness

    2. Bryan Danielson

    3. Chris Jericho

    C. Entertainer Of The Year - while everyone is eligable of course, the idea here is that just because all their matches are about * or less, you find them to be a guilty pleasure or hilarious or what not. I already know who the winner is but we'll go through the motions.

    1. Santino Marella

    2. Charlie Hass

    WORST OF:

  5. Ok, I'm pretty disappointed with the Kane dvd.

It's in a cardboard case that's not even the size of a normal dvd case.

It folds out like the other 3 disc E cardboard cases, but instead of having the hard plastic disc holders, it just has slits cut into the cardboard to slide the discs in and out of.

Guess it figures his dvd would be screwed up seeing as how his brother, Taker's Tombstone set had all 3 discs on one holder.

  6. Yea, I read the other day on Hero's Wikipedia page that he was the PWG Champ. The guy deserves accolades, but if they're not running shows but 2 to 3 times a year it's a pretty pointless accomplishment.

I had no idea Top Gun was one of the owners. Any idea what he's doing now?

I used to keep up with him through his Myspace page, but he deleted his account a little over a year ago if I'm not mistaken. Said something about his gimmick and who he really was were too close and it was causing problems. That may be why he got out of the spotlight altogether.

  7. I've said it a million times but I have to say it again....I really do hate Tenay and West. They're trying to debut a new character, he comes out with a unique entrance and a big pop but you can barely hear it all with Tenay and West babbling at a mile a minute.

Agreed. Why do they stink with those guys. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that would be worse.

They should let Beer Money do commentary. James Storm always finds a way to crack me up.
