    SD! Spoilers 4-17-09

They normally don't have people join their new shows until the week after the draft. I remember something like this happening last year. Worst case, everybody will settle in with news feuds on new shows after Backlash. Relax, everybody.

    24 -- Season 7

Good point about Mason, but I stand by Chappelle. He wasn't exactly "fighting dirty," but he did bend the rules when he found out about the suicide pills being delivered to the contaminated hotel and he looked the other way, which was a total break in character, and it put the wheels in motion for him to take a bullet to the head.

    24 -- Season 7

We all should have seen Larry Moss’ death coming from a mile away. Any time a grumpy, by-the-book, stickler-for-rules authority figure decides to finally take off the gloves and start fighting dirty, he’s pretty much a goner. It happened to George Mason in Season 2, Ryan Chappelle in Season 3 and even Senator Mayer earlier this season. So when Larry went along with an order to attack Starkwood without a direct order from the president, that should have set off alarm bells for longtime “24” fans.

    How I Met Your Mother

Apparently, the punchline to Barney's joke is: Apparently Lily is gone for the next four weeks, but she'll be back for the season finale, which was actually shot early so she could be in it, according to this story: http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/20...ur-mother-.html

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

King said Mysterio was wearing an outfit that paid homage to Heath Ledger's Joker character, to which JR replied something like: "Well, Mysterio's career is alive and well, King."

    The 'Unwritten' rules of WWE

Yes it did, though not for a lack of trying. Triple H did his typical "try a pedigree on the American announcers' desk, only to get backdropped onto the Spanish desk" spot, and that baby didn't budge.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

Did anybody else notice during the Hardy-Hardy match that the referee actually came outside the ring and wiped the blood off Matt's face with a towel? I've been watching 20 years and can never remember a referee doing that midmatch. I thought it had to be one of two things: 1. The WWE's newfound PG philosophy has run amok to the point that they're not just avoiding blood at almost all times, but now they're actually cleaning it up in matches where no blood was planned. 2. They had something particularly gory in mind for later in the card and didn't want to ruin the impact. Clearly this never came to fruition, but I certainly wish it would've during Orton-HHH. That matched needed something ... ANYTHING. Anyway, a couple other thoughts... - The main event was the most boring WM final match I can ever remember, and I've seen 20 of the 25 WMs. There were streams of people heading for the exits in the middle of the match when Orton went to the headlock. I don't have a clue what they were going for, but they swung and missed badly. - What a poorly paced show. Some stuff felt rushed, other stuff dragged on FOREVER. We had a grand total of two backstage segments, zero dialogue and a lot of nodding (Orton and his lackeys in the middle of the show, and HHH and the McMahons before the final match). - I don't have anything to add about Undertaker-Michaels other than to say that had everybody at my buddy's house going nuts. I never wanted that match to end. And I have no idea how Undertaker didn't kill himself with that dive toward the camera man. His head hit the mat so hard, it left a dent. OUCH.

    * SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION ALERT * http://www.news-herald.com/articles/2009/0...fe/nh691486.txt I wrote a column previewing WM for my newspaper's entertainment page today. With the way newspapers are dying faster than a Sim Snuka push, we need every hit we can get on our Web site. So if you get a few minutes today, click on the link and give it a read.

    AWA Backstage Gossip

Better be careful with that kind of talk, or the Sheik might try to humble you.

    Tazz has left WWE?

I wish there was some alternate audio function on either the live broadcast or DVDs where you could hear exactly what Vince is screaming in these announcers' ears that is driving them away. How bad could it be? "NO! NO! NO! Orton is a VIPER, Cole ... not a cobra! Come on, cocksucker, get your head out of your fucking ass!"

WWE General Discussion - March 2009

E-mail login glitch victim? Sadly yes. I know I'm not among the better-known posters on the board, but I was somewhat proud that I'd kept the same identity on here since I first created my account in '02, and I was thoroughly bummed when I came in one day and couldn't log in.

WWE General Discussion - March 2009

Okay, in the last couple of days, Kennedy, Cena and Jericho have all had various digs at him. Kennedy even challenged him to a match. Obama= new mega heel. As a member of the media (albeit just a hack at the local newspaper), I'm embarrassed for my profession that reporters on a national freaking cable channel still think they are clever asking if wrestling is "real."

    WWE Raw - March 23, 2009

I'll always mark out for video packages showing all of Undertaker's victims at WrestleMania through the years, but whoever decided to have Shawn Michaels kick a tombstone with "16-1" on it probably also set in motion the wheels for the whole "25th anniversary of WM" deal. If you're hell-bent on ending (... or "burying") the Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania, shouldn't you kick a tombstone that says 16-0?
