The Agent of Oblivion question of the day
zhangmeijie replied to Lei Tong's topic in No Holds Barred
Amazing how in US you can get a squillion years in jail just for having an ounce of weed in your pocket. Yet thugs, rapists and even killers sometimes serve less jail time. -
Overall it's not the most important no. However 8.7% was the chinese growth in 2008. China is now the largest holder of U.S. Treasuries by the way. So much so that the American goverment are scared that China will stop buying into the treasuries. Quote from A couple of people a while back. We did stop buying them and this is one of the reasons the economy is collapsing. So bacically this brings me back to my point a few post's back if China's economy collapses, it takes the US economy and therefore the world economy with it.

The Agent of Oblivion question of the day

I piss my self laughing everytime I see Jaywalking mentioned as a crime. In Shanghai, and any China city, walking on the road is as normal as wearing shoes on your feet to walk. More people walk on the side of the road than on the foopath. (Every road bar the smallest has a narrow area that is only for bicycle and food pedestrians.) Also we don't have green traffic lights for crossing roads. How it works is the light flashes red or green and both cars and people are allowed cross at the same time when green. The people take priority but the cars only have to slow not stop. Sounds dangerous yes? It's not really and it works very well in practise. -
It did, no WWE film failed to make it's money back. It didn't make a whole hell of a lot though.

Nothing major to be honest. Never got arrested let alone charged with a crime. The worst thing I did, never charged with let alone arrested, let me think. Probably the time I broke somebody's arm because I was jealous. I was young and stupid at the time. -
14 year old arrested for Child Porn
zhangmeijie replied to Obi Chris Kenobi's topic in Current Events
There have been cases recently of kids getting arrested for that too, and also getting charged with child pornography. The news over here has been saturated with paranoid doom-mongering stories about teenagers "sexting". American society and law have gotten more and more bizarrely obsessed with heavily punishing anything involving sex and a minor, regardless of how utterly harmless the act itself was. Like that 17-year-old kid a while back who was sentenced to 10 years in jail for getting a consensual blowjob from a girl two years younger than him. The weirdest thing is how some people act like these things are a sign that our culture is getting more depraved. If anything, children are kept more sheltered now than at almost any time in history. Even in the early 20th century, it wasn't uncommon for a middle-aged men to marry girls who were still in the middle of puberty. Chinese men like to marry Girls as young as possible. Well like to marry girls much younger would be more accurate maybe. Mostly they like their wife to be 15+ years younger. Actually I do have vauge memories of an (underage) girl getting arrested for putting nude photos as a picture text on a phone. Personally I am very against any kind of child porn. Sickens me. However in this case, the case of sending a boyfriend photos, is it really child porn? Only the also underage boyfriend saw the photos. In the case of a underage person posting them on myspace it clearly is child porn, but is it a criminal offence? If an adult posted of course, but an adult didn't post them. -
The Things That Anger You Thread.

"Do you want fries with that" "Would you like to go large". Did I order Fries? Did I ask you for a large value meal? No. Then shut the fuck up and give me what I asked for. I don't blame the staff mind, nor get angry with them. It's what they have to say. -
To be honest I think it should be measured by both. How would that work? I don't know how it would work exactly, I was just trying to throw an idea around. Since China's economy pretty much effects the world, shouldn't China's economy be (one of) the yardstick(s) which to measure by? Explain, please? Surely the fact that the world's economy was so tied up in the US Dollar is the reason most of the world has been affected by this fucking 'credit crunch' bullshit. Fucking greedy Americans. Well monetary experts say that China's money is so tied up in the rest of the world, and so influential (or vice versa?) that if China's economy collapsed it would pretty much take the rest of the world's economy with it. So while the worlds economy may be tied up in the US dollar, well not may be it is, it is also tied up in the Chinese RMB. AKA Yuan. Point of fact For the first time in history, China contributed, and therefore effected, more to world economic growth in 2008 than the United States, the International Monetary Fund reported. So last year When the RMB was strong the economy was strong. This year the RMB has weakened. So it was that as well as, if not even more than, the US dollar's value which created the global economy crisis

I loved the old wwf Attitude video game, where you could change the rope and mat colours.

So she wanted to send nude pictures of herself to ger boyfriend? Bitch you never hear of a phone camera? Oh no instead you want to post on my space and let the whole world see you. Some people are just dumb. -
But if it doesn't enter the bloodstream, you don't get drunk. Exactly that is the whole idea! But if you want to get a little drunk you drink what you want first then take the herb.

Just as well I live in the Eastern most of the time.

As usual we Chinese have this wrapped up... There are 100 traditional Chinese medicines that are able to prevent alcohol toxicity. They work by "grabbing" the alcohol and routing it through the digestive system before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. By far the best though is Bai Zhi / Angelica Root and Bark. If you take it before consuming drink the blood alcohol level will actually decrease with every drink not increase.

hahaha, now that's just silly. I am not familiar with Mr Ming, is he a good or average player?

Can't say I have ever noticed the colour connection before, now that you mention it though... ...It's actually true.

It's just a song about a guy trying to pick a girl up, really that simple. The dialect is regional but easy enough to understand most of it. A style of Han Chinese It's a folk song actually, really popular this type a few years ago. Many similar types.

Bret as a kid had no interest in wrestling indeed he had aspirations about being a film star & even movie Director. Of course as we all know that never happened & Bret entered the pro Wrestling world. Trained by his father the late Stu Hart Bret was already an accomplished Amateur wrestler. So it did not take much to train Bret in the legendary dungeon. Naturally Bret debuted in his father’s organisation Stampede pro wrestling in Canada. He made his debut way back in 1975 & formed a tag team with his brother Keith. They were a popular team & had a successful run in stampede & WWC in Mexico. Bret also had a successful solo feud with Dynamite Kid, which is still talked about today. Bret however did not like the feud as he thought their styles clashed. According to Dynamite's autobiography he went as far as to complain to Stu about the situation. However with his father's wishes, Stu knew Dynamite could teach him a thing or two, Bret continued the feud. Indeed Bret started adapting to Dynamite's hard-hitting style & has admitted he got to really enjoy the feud. This learning process took up a several years of Bret's life & by the time the singles & tag feuds ended it was late 1979. Bret went international in the early eighties accepting bookings in England, Germany & Japan, indeed for that matter anybody that would have him. He had his eyes set on one thing though working in America but that did not happen yet. Meanwhile he returned to Canada & stampede & by this point was something of a hometown hero. Bret & Dynamite wanted to feud one last time but wanted to do it in style so they invented a new & radical type of match, the ladder match. History* has lost the reason exactly how a ladder & wrestling came together. *their minds. Both men have stories that differ to each other; both however say Bret was the one who had the idea. According to Dynamite's story they were discussing how to end the feud & Bret almost walked under a ladder, the superstitious DK felt it was bad luck. This supposedly inspired the Hitman & he suggested the next day the concept of a ladder match. Hart on the other hand claims DK was not present when the idea came to him, he claims it was when he fell a couple of feet from a ladder in his house that he was inspired to create the ladder match. Either way the idea was really Stu Hart's who quickly warmed to the idea but had reservations that the fans would buy a match like this. He need not have worried the fans loved the series of ladder matches, something that was not lost on one Vince McMahon he filed the idea away for future use but he would forget about it & not use the idea for another decade. Bret Hart was now the top man in Stampede & was the North American champion on & off for the next few years. (NAHC) Vince McMahon however that perennial thorn in Bret's side was still keeping one eye on stampede. Vince wanted to dominate the American (& Canadian) scene & felt Stampede was one group (of man) that stood in his way, so he did what he did best he took out his chequebook. Although they had doubts about the decision Stu & Bret accepted a $1 million payoff & closed down Stampede wrestling much to the chagrin of Canadian fans. Bret & Dynamite also accepted big time WWE contracts. Dynamite was to be paired up The British Bulldog & Bret was pared with Jim Neidhart. The team of Neidhart & Hart was giving the name The Hart Foundation & caught on quickly with WWE fans. This is the point where your narrator actually Saw Bret for the first time watching WWF. Still catching on quick was not enough Vince made Bret start at the bottom & work his way up he jobbed for nearly a year. Then Vince decided The Bulldogs as Davey & Dynamite had become needed somebody as good a team for a feud & step up Bret & Jim. They fought for almost the whole year in 1986 in matches much loved & still talked about today. (probably) During the feud The Bulldogs became WWE champions when the won tag gold & the feud stepped up another notch. The date when Bret won WWE gold for the first time was January 26th 1987. Dynamite suffered a serious back injury not long before the title switch & knew he did not have much left in him, foolishly though he decided to stick around & we all know the rest. He paid for it. At WM III the feud picked up another notch, WWE Ref Danny Davis, much like Nick Patrick would years later in NWO, sided with the heels & aided them whenever he could. The three man the heart's & Danny upset The Bulldogs & Tito Santana at WM when the won their tag match. For the next ten months the foundation saw off title challenges from all of WWE's top tag teams (& the Killer Bees ahem). WWE however had a new team in town & they went straight to the top. The team was Strike Force Tito Santana & Rick Martel who won the belts sometime around October 1987 when Neidhart submitted. Still a heel Bret entered a stunning performance en route to being eliminated in the first Rumble match in 1988. Then in a battle royal at WM IV Bret turned face when he attacked Bad News Brown. The hart foundation then had a series of forgettable matches with Heel tag champions Demolition but did not win the gold back yet. In 1990 the finally beat the champions in a best of three falls at Summerslam 1990. Vince knew something we did not though, Vince knew Bret was ready for the big one The World Title. However Vince was not one to rush things back then so he wanted to test him as IC champ first. In Early 1991 the foundation parted ways & Bret was staring at the glass ceiling alone. For the next five months Bret warmed up for his IC title feud with champion Curt Henning & at Summerslam of that year they had their match. Entering stunning performances both men turned it up a notch & sure enough Curt submitted to the Sharpshooter & as he had being promised Bret was now IC champion. His reign sadly was not as memorable as he faced no hopers like Mike Rotunda, The Warlord & Skinner & The Mountie. Indeed it was the Later The Mountie who pinned Bret for his title & on a house show as well. Quickly switching the title to Roddy Piper at the Rumble 1992 WWE planned a dream match between Bret & Roddy. As dream matches go it turned out pretty well & the two had a very good match at WM VIII with Bret once again winning the title. His reign was to be a short one however as WWE had already decided that he was indeed to be a world champion and soon. So he dropped the IC title to Davey Boy in another stunning match at Summerslam 1992. It seemed Bret could do no wrong at this point in his career & that did not change anytime soon. Hart had to wait another Two months to win the title but in Canada of all places Hart pinned Ric Flair & became WWE's number one man for the first time. Something went wrong though attendances were dropping & Vince choose Hart as a scapegoat so he re hired Hulk Hogan & at WM IX after Hart dumped the title to Yokozuna our friend Hulk pinned Yoko. Hulk being Hulk of course quickly fell out with Vince & quit only 4 months later giving the title back to Yoko in the process. Actually Vince requested that Bret be the one that pin Hulk but Hogan told Vince that no way in hell was that going to happen. (Bret still refuses to talk to Hogan because of this BTW.) WWE instead threw Hart a KOTR bone shaped nugget. He rolled Over Razor Ramon in a very good match, Curt Henning in a 5 star classic & Bam Bam Bigelow in a fairly good match & was crowned first ever (on screen) KOTR champion. The next feud also started the same night that other King Jerry Lawler took exception to Bret's ‘king’ name & attacked him. The feud was very well received & indeed was the best feud of 1993 by a country mile. It never ended though as Lawler was fired in late 1993. (He was accused of raping a young girl who later admitted she had made the whole thing up. That is another tale.) WWE needed a new feud & quickly so they choose Bret's brother Owen. In a perfectly worked feud Bret & Owen slowly fell apart & that led to a Brother VS Brother WM match. In a shocking turn Owen pinned his brother Bret in a classic mat wrestling show off match. Bret however was not leaving WM X empty handed Vince had big plans for him. Bret & Lex Luger had jointly won the Rumble match so both got shots at Yokozunas title. Lex lost his match but Bret pinned blubber boy to win his second World title. At Summerslam he had a well recieved and very enjoyable fued ending cage match with Owen. Not long after Bret then entered a feud with WWE's new star heel Kevin Nash. First in a title Vs title match IC champ Nash beat Bret by DQ & then at Survivor Series Bob Backlund made Bret submit & we had a new champion. That new champion was not Backlund he lost his title 1 day later to Nash. For reasons unknown WWE decided Nash would not pin Bret. Nash bombed as a champ but a desperate Vince (this was WWE's slowest drawing period ever to date) kept him as a champ regardless. At least until Vince saw the light & decided Nash sucked as a Champ so Shawn Michaels was groomed as the next champion. Vince did not want a Nash Michaels feud however so Bret won the title back from Nash & then dropped it to Shawn at WM XII in as iron man match, the match itself was Bret's worst in years & he decided to take some time off. He took a whole Six months off partly to rest & partly to act. (He stared in several films.) WCW offered him a large contract in late 1996 & Hart turned it down but told them he might reconsider, he of course would. Before that though came a Feud with Steve Austin & what a feud. Starting at Survivor Series 1996 in a good match & taking in WM with their classic blood soaked match this was Bret's best feud of his singles career so far. At WM Hart also turned Heel again & so started the Canadian VS American feud. With Jim, Bulldog & Owen they formed The New Hart foundation & fought the American superstars such as Undertaker & Steve Austin. The Ten-man match at IYH Canadian stampede was the highlight of this feud. The foundation & Brian Pillman were the firm fan favourites (It was Canada) & they beat Austin, Goldust & LOD (& somebody else I forget who for now.) Shortly after that in August Bret pinned World champ Undertaker to win another world title. Then it started to go downhill, Vince demanded Bret take a $10 thousand per week pay cut. Bret obviously said hell no & with Vince Ms Satan's blessing (It was Vince's suggestion) Bret talked with WCW. Three months later Bret agreed to a WCW deal but before he left he still had a title to dump. We all know what happened next but just to remind you here goes. Bret refuses to lose the title in Canada at Survivor Series but said he would lose in America instead. Vince along with Earl Hebner & Shawn Michaels of course saw to it that Bret would, & did lose the title at SS. Bret then went ballistic & among other things spat at Jerry Lawler & Vince & then backstage attacked Vince. Bret would never to date step into a WWE ring again. He did of course work the WWE HOF event and helped with his DVD. Bret joined WCW as a face & feuded with Ric Flair & Randy Savage at first. Turning Heel he joined the NWO but seemed to get lost in the mix. He did manage to win Three US titles but that was just a stop gap solution everybody knew the world title was what he really wanted. It was strange though Bret was not the Bret of past his matches generally were boring partly due to the way he was booked & partly because he seemed to be losing interest. He was put into a feud with Goldberg but a Goldberg groin injury scuppered that plan. Two weeks later Bret got the worst news of his life, His Brother Owen had died. Bret seriously considered retiring in the wake of this news & that is more than understandable. However in September five months later he returned to WCW. In October he captured the world title from Chris Benoit in a stunning match, here at last was the Bret Hart of old. But in December he suffered a serious head injury in a match with Goldberg & that was it he never did wrestle again. He suffered several further setbacks since. For one he strongly dislikes today's the stunt aspect that takes up some of today's wrestling he wants story wrestling to be at the forefront of any wrestling company and all matches. Both of his parents have passed away in the last (few) years. Then of course there was the second concussion & temporary paralysis in a bike accident. Still the Hitman has overcome these bumps in the road of life & has even talked to Vince several times. Neither he nor Vince have completely forgiven each other for SS 1997 (Both feel they were right) but have at least Got Bret to appear for the HOF. Will Bret Hart appear at WM or any time in a WWE ring again to say farewell? Everybody wants it to happen but I think the HOF speech is the closest thing we will ever get.

Yeah, yeah, yeah we all know the joke about MSG. It seems to be the in thing to pretend Kevin Nash is some sort of god, or genius or even an athlete. Take it from me none of the above is true. Ok so he is has being funny and or entertaining in TNA, to a point anyway, but really who cares? Kevin Nash is the most boring man on the planet, nay the universe It is a puzzle I have long tried to decipher, why does Nash get chance after chance when he is a walking colossal bore. Will we never be rid of the wolrd's least intresting wrestler. (WCW first run Unfunny and can't act at all can't wrestle. WWF run Unfunny and can't act at all and can just about wrestle. WCW second run as WWF. WWE run the same. TNA run Funny all of a sudden and still can't act. What little wrestling ability there was long gone.) Um sorry if this sounds like a character assassination, but that is the idea. Sure other wrestlers have outstayed their welcome or keep popping up for one more pay day. (Hello Mr Hogan, Mr Foley.) Most of them though can still put on a good or at least fair show. Nash has never put on a good show, at least not where it counts most. Fan support and numbers. WWE (F), WCW and TNA have all tried to turn him into a dollar sign and all have failed, Nash just can't draw when it counts. Let's turn the clock back for a minute and look at his WWF World title run in 1994. He held the title for a long time and faced some good opponents. (Bret, HBK and um Mabel well ok not all good.) Did he draw a dime? No and while some of the matches looked good it was mostly his opponent who made him look good. As they say it takes two to tango and logic says Nash must have done some of the work but even the man himself has admitted to his shortcomings in these matches. For example on the HBK from the vault DVD. He had and has basic if any ring skills and moved like a tortise. Now I love basic brawlers, but even I draw the line somewhere. He also couldn't emote to save his life, one of the few areas he has improved a bit at least he can cut a average promo now. Nash is now about 48 years old and if anything is even less mobile than ever, injuries ensure that. It's an in joke that every Nash match may have him suffer an injury for no apparent reason. Or it was in his WWE run anyway. Joke it may be but he has suffered injuries for no reason in particular before. Look at his 'comeback' in 2003 he had a seriously dull run as the Number One contender to HHH (Who was himself having a bad year) and suffered injuries seemingly at random. (Six Knee injuries a Quad tear and a biceps rapture.) This makes me ponder just what in the hell he was even doing in a ring in 2003, or now. He should retire for his body alone. Lest we forget though in wrestling, more in WWE than TNA but still both, if you can cut a good scripted promo and can at least punch and kick other shortcomings will be ignored. However, and comedy, aside has Nash even had one interview / angle / talking segment other than comedy which was good or even passable? In WWF he was kept far away from the mic and got over because of his 'talent'. (size, power and not a lot else.) This was a good idea. In WCW he mostly stood around looking vaguely intresting and had cool hair. Hall and Hogan did the talking and all the better. This, again, was a good idea. His Solo efforts post NWO in WCW and WWE showed a man who didn't care and did not want to better himself. Getting away from the talking I seriously do not understand ,giving the lack of overall talent, why Nash always gets another chance. Well actually I do Nash bends bookers to his point of view, he manipulates them. He treats peers as somebody to use and he regularly disses anybody who opposes his views. (He also disses the business publicly.) Somehow the bookers fall for this time and again. By now you are probably thinking boy I really hate Kevin Nash, or have a chip on my shoulder, or am just ranting about hating him. You're wrong I love him in fact. I was a huge Diesel mark and NWO mark and despite the fact he never lived up to the hype I always enjoyed a Nash match. His role in TNA meanwhile really suits his (lack of) talents and is one of the companies better non home grown assets. So long live Kevin Nash the most boring entertainer you will ever see. It's still neither big nor funny to pretend to like him though.

Ok maybe imposing wasn't the best way to put it. Maybe it would be better to say we get noticed by doing so. Oh read this and look at the paper and then think about your view on Chinese goverment... It's a mock paper created by a well known Chinese newspaper and endorsed by the goverment, all be it endorsed as a joke. The main headline at the upper left, above the mushroom cloud, reads: “China Successfully Tests new Type of Nuclear Bomb on San Francisco.” Next to it in the top middle of the page: “United Nations HQ Moves to Beijing.”… At top right, the headline reads: “Premier Wen Jiabao accompanied by Gov. Ma Ying-jeou pays a visit to Taiwan.” (In other words, Taiwan has already been absorbed into China.) At lower right, under the NBA logo, is the headline: “Yao Ming recovers from injury, helps Rockets with championship.” Smaller headlines lower on the page read: “Chinese government Apologizes for Accidental Bombing of Pentagon.” “Dalai Lama is Shot and Killed.”
-
We do impose ourselves, just in a different way. A good way, sort of. We impose ourselves and want to be noticed with our exports. Look at anything close to you and chances are it was made in China. Actually yes we do tend to be distant and do our own thing for the most part though. I agree with your views on Russia.
-
I have no idea what the hell this is meant to mean. Also what is an igloo? What he really wants to know. Will you love him long time? Impossible, he could only last 60 seconds.

Can't speak for the rest of Europe, but the UK gets less then 25% of its gas from Russia. So if Russia was to cut its supply, we'd still be 'ok' - though probably face a price hike in home heating prices. I think Russia will only use this tactic against Western Europe, where they still fear Russia, in an attempt to make them come crawling back. Is Russia regrowing its Army and Military Fist? More then likely. Over the last 5 years they've slowly become more promiment in the news for various things - Space Exploration, War, Public Shots of their Prime Minister guy, civil war, political unrest and upheaval. About 3 years ago they kept running fake 'bombing' runs towards the UK, prompting Norway and the RAF to send out Tornadoes to 'guide' the Russian Bombers back to Russian airspace. So I wouldn't be surprised if more political mind and war games happened. Last year had the Canada v Russia comedy 'war' over the oil under the ice caps. Russia want to be noticed again and with the way things are going it'll happen more and more. To address the very last line. Communist countries always want to be noticed, either in a good way or bad. I know that from living in one.

Yeah but she looks taller than me, the taller you are the bigger tits you can support without back damage. People with bigger tits can actually easily suffer back damage.
