Don't worry about the post being taken down because I'm not sure anyone cares enough. Cool link, though.

Yeah, Miz was very good tonight. The Tim Allen reference made me lol. However, I would just love to hear him drop the whole "I'm the Miz, and I'm AWEEESOME" thing, or maybe tone it down a bit; he looks goofy as hell saying that cheesy line.

No clue pappa, but I just joined a couple months ago because I remember it used to be hopping. Now, however, I have to have conversations with myself.
-
Kofi the IC champ, huh Lillian?
-
Well, I assume from this opening segment, Batista's injury is being written in the storyline and he will indeed drop the belt tonight. I don't expect him to put anyone over, though. edit- I also assume this means Hunter's return is ASAP.
-
I assume they will get the belt off of Batista tonight.
-
Ah, WWE just deals with injuries differently. Ya know, Kennedy gets shit-canned while Batista gets the strap. Standard. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Umaga gets let go after he and Punk got all you can get out of a strap-match last night. I had even heard backstage reviews were good (if JR's blog is any indication). Who knows, maybe Umaga had gotten fed up with being a stepping stone for someone to go on a title run and requested this?
-
WTF? I thought he was on the verge of a push... Does this absolutely leave no doubt Punk turned last night?

Batista clean is most surprising victory of the night thus far, in my opinion.

I kind of thought Tommy would win, but there is rumblings that he is going to retire with the belt. I'm not sure what to believe about him retiring, but I could see Dreamer becoming the GM of ECW or something. Makes sense for him to go over because the Swagger-Christian feud was going well then all of a sudden Tommy is in the middle of it, kind of like when it was Big Show and Kane feuding over it then all of a sudden Mizark was in the middle of the situation and he went over too. Thumbs up; kind of mad I couldn't pull the trigger with my prediction, though.

Well yeah that has alot to do with TNA being crap. I can do a whole entire lengthy write up as to why I (as a fan of Pro Wrestling for over 25 years now) think TNA sucks and why it is mind numbing to try and watch. I havent posted the write up yet because the board participation here is sinking to new lows everyday so I figured whats the point of writing it if no one is gonna read it. I tuned in tonight to see what Raven looks like....looks like shit by the way and to see how Victoria is looking...looking hot by the way. Impact is truley mind numbing to watch. If your a fan of in ring pro wrestling...like actual pro wrestling ..it is very hard to watch Impact. Tonight was no exception just a bunch of stupid unfunny horribly executed skits. Its barely wrestling, its the most ridiculous form of piss poor comedy I have ever seen. Raw isnt great but it is better if you ask me. TNA is just pathetic. I watch Smackdown and Classics on Demand and Im happy with that. You could honestly, 100%, just replace the word "Impact" with "Raw" in your diatribe and it would work just as well.

I read that Douglas is being brought in to do a program with Daniels, playing off of Daniels' story-line second chance with the company. Don't be surprised to see a promo with Douglas expressing his rage about never getting a second chance.

What I would give to cause one of her facial expressions...

Maryse is so hot that I watch all of her matches, like, I don't even fast forward on my DVR.

I understand all the rumors and stuff, but how is HHH not a lock to be the mystery man? edit - As far as I know he never really went home and has remained on the road in his backstage role.

Nope, that's what's so stupid about it. That's why Foley wasn't giving a shit when the other three were fighting in the ring and they were doing commentary. Jarrett being so close to pinning Sting made little sense since why in the hell would he want to retire him? I'd understand Foley doing a move like that, but given the fact that they pulled a swervy booking move (which is a weak ass idea by the way, because I think most people expected a title change to whoever got the pin) by only the title going to whoever could pin Foley, then shouldn't all three of them basically just want to go after him instead of each other? Wow, what a stupid bait and switch deal there by TNA. Very stupid, but I guess it accomplishes the inevitable Sting/Angle blowoff. I would expect the Mafia to break apart, probably Angle/Steiner/Booker and Sting/Nash or something like that. Yawn. The deal in the main event annoyed me to no end, because they didn't emphasize this as being the case with Foley needing to be pinned to lose his title up until the actual match, thus feeling a bit baited and switched in that it wasn't even really a true world title match. It was like a conditional title match. A few other matches had some controversial booking to say the least. That finish in the I Quit match was just ridiculous. And the state of things in Nash/Joe gives flashbacks of so many times in the past we've seen guys like Hogan and Nash "do the job" and "put a guy over" but in reality, its the farthest thing from it. It's more a joke than anything. What Joe/Nash was, to me, appeared to be was a double turn by the end of the match. The match itself had some good five minutes or so, but otherwise wasn't much to talk about. Overall, bad showing here, the booking really killed shit out of the gate. Overall, definately didn't live up to the potential of the matches on paper. Bit of a letdown for sure. Oh and for next month, guess it's a seven man KOTM match since it's Slammiversary Seven. So I would guess these four, Joe, Styles, and either Booker, Steiner, or Nash? I'm betting Booker v. Nash at the next ppv, which leaves Steiner as the guy to take the seventh spot in all likelihood. Yeah, exactly. I hadn't seen the last 2 weeks of IMPACT and I just kept assuming that since this was being billed as the "World Title Match" that the title would change hands on the fall as well as what the other person was sacrificing. After watching the 2 weeks of IMPACT I missed I'm even more baffled. Each man's agenda was to get the belt, and each man also had beef with Foley. WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T THEY ALL GANG UP ON FOLEY? Now, the MEM becomes a babyface faction under Sting's leadership? WTF? TNA, in the past couple months leading up to this show, has been strong IMO. So, did someone fall asleep at the wheel here? The opening 6-man tag (which was thrown together 1 day in advance, at the most) and the tag tournament final were hands down the best matches of the show. I've heard TNA Creative books months ahead so maybe this will all pan out, somehow. I wouldn't get my hopes up, though; this looks like a complete dead-end.

Yeah, another Sting and Kurt feud would probably upset Kurt because Kurt recently expressed disappointment that Sting couldn't really keep up with him (back in their feud). Right now, upsetting Kurt would be terrible for TNA, so I really don't see where they're going with this finish.
-
I haven't watched in like 2 weeks. I just assumed that since it was being billed as a TNA World Heavyweight Title match all along that the title would change hands on any fall. So, I guess Kurt over Jeff makes since now heading into the KOTM match? edit - Or Sting over Kurt. That works too, I suppose. That's not saying I like the finish at all, though.
-
The fuck... so if Foley doesn't get pinned the TNA World Title doesn't change hands?
-
I really haven't dug any finish tonight aside from the Beer Money - British Invasion tag match. Main Event could have a good finish, though.
