Considering he's been pushed strongly forever and STILL isn't over, what more can they do? Even if he got the HHH treatment people still wouldn't give a shit about him. It's Randy's fault that only gays and women don't fall asleep when he's out there busting out the chinlock or the same promo he's been cutting for the last few years. When was he last pushed "strongly"? When he was the scared heel in his feud with the Undertaker? When he lost match after match in that feud? You know that "hilarious" oh-no picture that's been thrown around in this thread? He wasn't making that face during that feud because he was really scared of the Undertaker, he was making it because he was booked to be a weak, chickenshit heel afraid of an old man. He hasn't been pushed "strongly" in a long-ass time.

And? Are you? -
I dont think you have to wear a tie. Just a nice shirt, pants and possibly a jacket. Better than looking like a slob. Yeah, I agree with DY. It's not like it's an overly strict dress code, and it makes sense, they ARE employees of the company and thus represent the WWE when traveling or in public. For some people (e.g. Austin, or Murdoch, or someone like Kane) it'd make sense to keep them in 'character' but for the most part, everyone knows that Austin, or Murdoch, or someone like Kane is a real person playing that character. It's no worse than the Yankees or D-backs not being allowed to sport facial hair or the NBA'ers having to dress in suits & whatnot.

I've wondered that as well, max ... I even posted a "WTF?" here about it. But everytime they put Razor in net, he gets shelled, and (a) gets pulled halfway through the game & (b) even further kills his value on the market. And as much as I love both players, maybe Muzz is trying to fill the Boynton role of "overly emotional player, to the point that it hurts the team". With Boynton out, SOMEONE has to be detrimentally emotional.

Ahhh, maybe that's where I remember it from, Leena. I went through a phase were drinking and driving wasn't terribly uncommon for me, but after getting pulled over and having to do the road-side Olympics on NYE, I learned my lesson and am super-cautious now.

While I doubt that it's something that you'd really run to the computer & tell TSM about, Lushus, but did you ever mention the DUI online? I can't remember if it rings a bell or not. It might have come up in a PM, because it kinda rings a bell ... but my memory's not that good.

It's potentially true, he might be. The inquiry in my sig is stolen from a WP post. And becoming sig-worthy is a crucial step in becoming established. -
I'd like to remind DrVenkman that pointing out facts about the hypocrisy of lambasting Orton & calling for his termination, while ignoring the fact that by that logic Edge is as worthy of getting fired, isn't the smark way. Just make a "funny" joke next time, DrV.

What does he "lose"? And what does posting on his birthday have to do with anything? And why does his living in the US have do do with any of the above??
-
That's proof that you're not old, my racist friend. If you were really getting old, looking at young girls would be more preferable than it'd ever been. Happy belated birthday, jackass.

He's young. He's athletic. He doesn't have the 'stigma' of being an ECW, WCW, or Indy guy. According to some females he's attractive, and thus has a chance of crossing over to having mainstream attention. He's favored by the McMahon's & HHH. And when booked right he was on his way to getting over. The fact that he's not a 5* wrestler isn't as important to the McMahon family (including HHH) or most marks as it is to smarks.

I don't know if I'm down with the center of the hatch-grid being the gateway to Hell, eldandy. Which, presumably, is where the devil would be residing. While there are a lot of biblical themes (e.g. the statues filled with coke, Charlie's past & Eko's present) having them have hte ability to free Satan in their hands is a bit too biblical for a prime time SciFi show. I'd be extremely disappointed if that came to fruition.

So, on a whim I've started a blog. I don't really know if I even want a blog, or if I'll keep posting on it above & beyond this one entry. Some of you might recognize the title of my blog as a book by noted author & poet Charles Bukowski. Bukowski, for a long time, was best known as the author immortalized in the movie "Barfly". Unfortunately, though, he is now best known as the author & poet that the hipster doofuses have decided to fawn over. Seeing frat guys & emo chicks carrying around what appear to be brand-new copies of Bukowski's work is terribly annoying. Even worse, a lame bar (that pretends it's a "dive" bar, even though it's not) has decided to name itself "Bukowskis" ... even worse than that even worse, it's successful enough that a second one has opened up. It'd be one thing if he was alive, and could at least be reaping the financial rewards from his random popularity. But seeing as his success is posthumous, Bukowski's likely not enjoying it at all. Yesterday was one my least favorite days of the year: the opening of the Red Sox season. I, at one point, was a die-hard Sox fan. Knew every player, voted for them in the All-Star Game balloting, even felt some anger when Mike "Gator" Greenwell finished second behind Jose Canseco in the MVP race almost 2 decades ago. But, now, baseball season means one thing to me: ESPN dedicating 18 hours a day, every day, to the most irrelevant baseball coverage imaginable. Hey, guys, it's game ONE of 162; let's not treat it like playoff implications are hanging in the balance. Even if I avoid ESPN, I still have to deal with drunk frat guys chanting "Yankees Suck" regardless of who the Sox are playing (or, even worse, at events that aren't even baseball games). And, just so I'm doing something besides bitching in my first ever blog entry, let me say that I've had a good week of music 'shopping' online. The new Streets album (better than A Grand Don't Come for Free , but not as good as Original Pirate Material ); a 3-disc Stereolab import set, 95% of which was new to me; 2 Strapping Young Lad albums (I've only listened to one but liked it a lot, and will be listening to the other soon) and a bunch of Prussian Blue & Wagner from a WP index that I found on midnitecrow. All in all, a good week of downloading.

Sensei JK, is it safe to presume that you normally worked your gimmick magic in the CE/Political folder? I'm presuming because that's one of the folders that I never go into, and I have no recollection of "neocon" being at the Pit. Maybe I saw it & just didn't realize that it was a gimmick, though. I'm not that bright.

eldandy, that was an April Fool's joke ... none of those major spoilers are real at all. And SJ beat me to the punch.

It was either 26 minutes or 7 posts, depending on how you want to measure it. I'd suggest we measure it by number of posts, as 26 minutes sounds like a laughably brief period of time. -

How are you planning on measuring "how long"? (e.g. number of posts, literal number of minutes between the thread's creation and the first official error, etc.) -

Wow, I'm surprised you don't mention that more frequently, SJ. -
I watched the first few minutes of Raw while 24 did the "previously on 24" intro part ... man, people are sooooo exaggerating the hatred that Cena gets. It seems that he gets about a 50/50 response, which is admittedly not a good thing for the guy that they're pushing as the #1 face ... but it's really not the universal hatred that some people here say each week. And it seems that the people that are booing the loudest or starting the Cena Sucks chants are the kind of people that are doing it more in a 'look at me, I'm cool for doing this' rather than any real hatred for Cena. They'd be booing WHOMEVER was in that role, it seems. And having not seen the "Vince & Shane vs. HBK & God" segment, let me use this time to say how fucking offensive it is. If HBK is half as religous as he claims, he should have stepped up and said, "you know, Vince, this isn't really a cool idea at all."

What was the first one? Hogan vs. Piper, the one that was shown on MTV in like '85. I'm Hogan, you're Piper ... and I think we both know who'd be Mr. T. -

That picture makes it look like Carnival-cat is trying to suck my big cat penis, and niskie-cat is pushing away, meowing 'no means no'. Plus, I've already offered to meet Carnival in Columbus for the War to Settle the Score II; he declined for now.
