On the topic of signing Marv for 7 years and a buttload of cash: Hello Miami Dolphins 2K! Replace Marvin's name with Mark Clayton and there you go. This team will never win a SB until they get a defense. The Irsay clan must be cursed or something. It's funny how the Dolphins have a great defense *now* but only saw like 2 guys from the entire time Marino started for the team make it into the Pro Bowl. They had a big time offense that would cap teams in the legs but they couldn't stop the run or even get a run going since the RB's they had over the years were mainly scrubs who never reached over a 1000 yards. Marino wanted to throw for 400 yards and felt that him and the WR's he had were enough to win. 0-1 in a Superbowl with Dan Marino at the healm. Confernce championship games? Marino only reached it once. The same year the Dolphins went to the Superbowl and got embarassed by San Francisco's defense (and offense too). Peyton will have good company in that category. Isn't Dungy supposed to be the defense guru head coach in football too? What the hell is up with him? Both Peyton and Marvin will need to be stand up guys and restructure their contracts in the upcoming years if they even *hope* to have a camel toe of a chance of going to the Superbowl, let alone winning it.

After the Patriots beat the Raiders in 2001 in the playoffs, they effectively stole the thug torch from the team that battered WR's and chop blocked RB's for decades without getting called for it. I wanted to break something in honor of that game, aside from the Raiders losing the game. That team *plays* like a team determined to just win and go all the way. Just win baby! Lyle Alzado and John Matuszak rolled over in their graves after the Pats/Raiders game. Jim Plunkett also probably wanted to punch Rich Gannon in the face for that game as well. That game still hurts me inside of my black heart whenever I think about it. ... Fuckin Pats. Belichik is Raiders material. He's the next John Madden. The man is *that* good at dissecting and deconstructing teams. Damn good.

Happy birthday Loss. I'll try to get you something that's not knitted this year.

How much would you say RR is tipping the scales at nowadays Brian?

CJ probably won't come back. He's not banned though but I doubt he'll come back here. He's got his own stuff goin on.

Are you going to change your sig? For about a year, SNKT was one of the best boards I had the pleasure of posting at. The good times were good. The post/thread eater glitch was bothersome. The lack of posting was something that no one could change without there being a collective effort from a majority of the board members to start posting more. Consider this board a notch under your belt MiB. It had a solid poster community. Happy trails SNKT.

27 - 34, Raiders and Chiefs. Trent Green threw a 70-yarder pass for the TD to end the game. Crap.
-
Raiders 20, Chiefs 7. Jerry Porter caught a 51-yarder from Kerry Collins. I am pleased.

We're trying to get Santa to bring the board gifts this season.

- I like the FOX Sunday analysts crew. Terry Bradshaw cracks me up sometimes. - Lisa Guerrero > Michelle Tafoya. I think she could have done well if she had another season to help her learn the ropes. - I like Michael Irvin - I do not like Ron Jaworski - I like Sean Salisbury - Stacy Kolber < Pam Oliver. Stacy looks like some gymnist who takes growth stunt drugs. - Pam Oliver is hideous - I like Keyshawn Johnson

Who's had the better buzz this year? Joe, Benoit, Eddy, HHH, or Kobashi? The guy, who's name when you hear it makes you go "he the ace" and not even need to pause for a moment to consider the other top guys around. For me, that's been Joe. Joe is the king of his company right now and he has helped carry the company through what could have been a potentially nightmarish year after the RF scandal from earlier.

This was 2 years in the making. AS never could learn from his mistakes, which people would point out to him over and over and over and over. The divorce is final. At one point I thought he wasn't really irritating. Honestly.

Too bad. I would have liked to seen Ricky play on the Raiders. Up next for the upcoming season, Edgerrin James. They could use his gold toothed ass.

I was talking hypothetically about Eddy vs. Angle after Mania and I assumed that would have been known. My fault. I went back and checked out the US title tourney results and Cena did indeed lose to Gunn. But that's not the tournament I'm thinking of. Cena beat Guerrero in one of the SD! tourney's from last year I thought. That was the one where the Undertaker beat Rey Misterio in convincing fashion. I'm drawing a blank on the rest of it right now.

Misawa is the stand-by. He wouldn't draw much differently than Kobashi probably. Joe looks stronger this year after improving as a worker as well as helping make those he works with look strong. IIRC, didn't some of Eddy's segments on SD! have the best ratings on the show? Eddy vs. Angle after Wrestlemania would have probably kept the ratings strong instead of chucking Bradshaw into the top heel spot with out much build-up. Eddy really should have feuded with Cena after Mania and have a champion vs. champion deal going. That could have been interesting to see after Cena beat Eddy in the US title tourney.

Eddy Guerrero. While he only had a short-term run, ratings and attendance *increased* while he was on top and not booked badly. He drew. Ratings and attendance increased. Eddy was the only person who was seen as a clear cut draw in a company where no one else's name on cards got people to line-up and see them like Eddy's name did. There was no spike in attendance for the 7/10 Tokyo Dome show with Kobashi vs. Akiyama or any other major show Kobashi was booked on. Attendance for shows did not increase after his opponents were named as NOAH had hoped. There has been no considerable spike or difference seen in any ROH shows with Joe on top. They've drawn well, really, based on name recognition and being a wrestling fan's haven. Joe would be my runner-up behind Eddy. Ratings did not increase or decrease while Benoit was on top. Then again, it's hard to gauge for any impact Benoit had since he was given the Randy Savage title. HHH never stepped down while Benoit was the champ and often overshadowed Benoit and his matches with his prolonged feud with HBK, just like Hogan did when Savage won his first title. Eddy drew. Things improved when he was on top. Attendance and ratings were on the rise for the short time he was booked well.

Oh yeah: - I like and respect Max Kellerman

- I like Chris Berman. - I like Stephen A.Smith - I like Chris Rose - I have cheered for the Chargers before (but never against the Raiders) - I have cheered for the Clippers before (but never against the Lakers) - I like Angels owner Artie Moreno more than Dodgers owner Frank McCourt - I believe Moreno will go down as being one of the best MLB owners ever - Last but not least, I watch the College Women's Gymnastics whenever they're on. I actually know some of their names and how they rank

Austin did draw very well in Canada. The WWE even sold out the Skydome for a '99 RAW where Austin had a Gauntlet match against the Corporation. I remember that show being listed as a great gate. Inflation over the years might give Hogan the edge over Austin. Maybe, I'm not sure about this one (any math majors can take a crack at this). Plus, Hogan had nearly 2 decades of longevity compared to Austin who had only a really hot run for about less than a quarter of that time. Andre wrestled for nearly 30 years and was a big draw wherever he went. Inflation over that time could possibly make Andre a bigger draw than either Austin or Hogan. Again, maybe.

I caught the last Flash ish and I thought the Top was a red herring used to cover-up for someone else. Works for me though.

I think that Lex suit from issue #1 might just become relevent here shortly.
-
It would have been interesting to see how well Austin could have drawn outside of the US and England during the Attitude era. Hogan managed to draw good gates around the world for over a decade and he is known around the world. Austin's only strong gates outside of the US came from England where he was a headliner. But that country has been a "gimme draw" for over a decade for the WWE with gates being easy to get.

An expansion team or the Raiders would be the only viable options for LA. The expansion team probably moreso since everything would be started from scratch. Any other team would probably get shat on instantly. The Chargers Carson facility was just recently dropped by the team I believe. Either way, it appeared that it was only used as a scare tactic by the Spanos Goofs in getting a new stadium deal worked out with SD, which they did this summer. They're sticking around in SD it would look like. The Colliseum is ran by a committee of idiots. They were part of the reason for why LA could not get a stadium next to Dodgers stadium like former Dodgers owner Peter O'Maley wanted. It would have killed their business. The Rose Bowl is probably the only viable option since no one wants a stadium built next to the Staples center and Hollywood and Carson would get dragged down in bureaucratic red tape like they did before. I don't see a new stadium getting built anywhere since the town is filled with bitches who all have personal agendas with money to lose. San Bernadino would be a nice area for a stadium.

It's quite a disturbing book. The ending in particular defines the term "soldier" after the dust settles. Gruesome. The issue before that where Kid Miracle's alter ego is getting raped is also not for the soft stomach folks.
