    Deadwood

They had to kill Bill in this episode. The show is trying to follow the actual "history" of the characters.

What do you think of Fight Club?

A buddy of mine who is a fanatic about Fight Club said the book was better since the movie was "Hollywood" up at the end. I haven't read the book so I'm not sure what he meant by that.

    Just for fun

Superman can never be cool. He's been beaten by Batman too many times decisively. DC shouldn't be surprised when people call him "lame."

  5. This has been explained by two of the three folder mods. Simply put, the original rules Loss and I came up with were not going to work with a folder and board the size of TSM. Too many people + too many rules = tense situation. Currently, I just got back in the saddle in trying to streamline the original set of rules so that I can get it down to 5 or less. Preferably 3. Anything more than 5 is going to make posters feel like they're signing a contract when they post and that's not how they should feel. Loss has been dealing with some personal issues. I haven't spoken to him about them. I'm sure he can come in here and explain his lack of apperance here at TSM over recent weeks if he wishes to. For me, I've been busy with work and my home life over the past month or so but I've gotten more time to myself to go online so I'll be around these parts more often in the upcoming weeks here. Goodear and CC have been doing their jobs. They've made me and Loss proud with the way they've conducted themselves in the folder. They're the power couple of that folder and quite frankly I wouldn't wish for anyone else but them (at this time) to have their jobs because being a mod is a thankless job but somebody has to do it and Goodear and CC have done everything I could hope for in not making me regret modding them. Good job you two. One item I'll bring up about the rules: A OAO News thread or a ThisWeekInWrestlingNews thread are not practical. A board this big with a folder that has as many posters as the WWE folder does would see these threads turned into clusterfucks or die off once a poster inadvertently starts a thread about what some might consider a "minor" news topic that does not seem worthy of having it's own thread. What's considered "minor" news and "major" news worthy of it's own thread (whereas the minor news stuff would be in theory posted in a OAO or TWIWN thread) is too broad and subjective since the site gets bombarded with new tidbits every day. So those go bye-bye in the streamlined rules. Sorry for the response delay CWM as I wanted to hear from the folder mods first before I say anything. Other than that, I've got nothing left. If anyone here would like to discuss this further with me, I'll shoot the shit about this with you in PM or IM when/if I'm on. As for when the streamline rules will be up...I have no set time. Loss and I need to get in touch and coordinate with one another on these and we haven't seen one another much online so we'll be working on these tentatively soon I hope. Thanks for your time folks, I hope this helped out.

    Beat em ups

Two of the most underrated games in SNES: 1. Batman Returns 2. Ninja Warriors, Again These games were hideously overlooked by Gamepro when they came out back when I was a subscriber. Batman throwing a fat clown over his shoulder and driving him head first into the street is an awesome visual. The Ninja Warriors game is just absolutely savage. Ninja, the biggest one, is a freakin powerhouse who can just killify guys. I love these two games and play them every now and then since I picked up a SNES emulator several months ago. I *HIGHLY* recommend everyone here give these two games a spin if they haven't played them or else another try. I can't stress enough how fun these games are. They're not overly hard but they're also no cake walk to beat. Being a comic book fan, I enjoyed the X-Men: Apocalypse game as well as Captain America and the Avengers (the arcade version, the SNES and Genesis versions blew IMO compared to the arcade one).

    Regarding Name Changes

We'll leave it up to the posters to find out who-is-who if the name has been radically altered (such as Sandman's new name). I don't see name changes as a problem for the board or the posters. Otherwise we wouldn't have changed some folks' names in this thread who have asked for us to do so recently. It might be an inconvenience for some and I apologize for that but currently I don't see this as being a problem but rather a minor nuisance.

    Best Simpsons Episode

My two favorite eps. of all-time: Blowfish - this was the episode where Homer ate the Japanese blowfish and was told he would die in a day. The scene towards the end where Marge finds Homer sitting in his couch and presumes he's dead and breaks into tears was one of the most heart warming scenes I've ever seen from the series. Soul - Bart thinks his soul isn't worth anything and sells it to Millhouse. Soon after, Bart is miserable and is about to hit rock bottom until Lisa shows up and helps him out. The scene where Bart is begging God to help him out really touched me since I have been in that spot where he was. I consider myself an atheist but there have been a few times where I found myself asking the Big Man upstairs for some help and forgiveness so I was happy to see things work out for Bart at the end.

    Your most prized possession

Picking my son would be too easy. My second most prized possession would be my copy of Iron Man #55 that writer Jim Starlin signed for me. Cool guy too.

A thread in which I rip off Squirtle

When I'm interested in something, I want to know everything about it. If I can help "educate" folks along the way then that's cool. It helps create discussions and I like talking about stuff with people that also share the same interests that I have with something. You're good people IDRM. Thanks.
  16. Cudos on your post Dave. This was probably one of the best posts I've seen you make in a while. You can still bring the heat sir.

    How 9/11 Happened

This is one of the best threads I've ever read in CE. Jobber's "whoa dude that's a little gay" comment had me rolling. I've got nothing else. Carry on.

Dr.Tom is now a Super Admin?

I thought you were going to compare me to Sonny... Tom's good people. Oh and it's *real* easy to bury a body in one of Cali's desert's though...not that I'd know firsthand about this or anything.

    A Shameless Shill

I like how you were just savage towards the Dodgers chances at having a winning season. You speak the truth though Al. The team has one of the best pitching staffs in the league but they have absolute shit for hitting. They are totally unbalanced and need a power hitter in the worst kind of way so that perhaps the other members around him might feel "inspired" once again (see Green, Shawn). FOX management handled the team so poorly that you can't even call this season a "rebuilding" one since no major (or good) acquistions were made in the off-season due to the stalled negotiations to sell the team during the whole off-season which prevented the (remaining) front office members to make any moves. Eric Gagne is the only player on that team who can give fans a glimmer of hope at winning and instead of giving him a pay raise which he wanted (and deservingly so I'd say), the team takes him to court and wins by cutting the money he was asking for in half. The McCourts might be the death knell for this team yet.
  23. I suppose we could try to fool everyone into believing that we're pseudo-intelligent and savvy by posting in the Current Events folder....I hear that's where all the cools kids hang out. It's actually the Comic Books and & Literature folder. You will be receiving a PM to inform you of all the details. ::teleports away::
