I've read enough. Both Johnson and CWM have overreacted in this whole affair and what I see is each side grasping at straws by trying to make the other look bad. But what sets the two of you apart is that you, Johnson, managed to make snide remarks about CWM's problems with alcohol in more than one thread and did not keep your opinions contained in one thread but rather brought them over into several threads which CWM pointed out in another thread and that is trolling. You were warned to stop stirring up trouble at TSM by the mods here before Johnson when Dames allowed you back into the board after the misunderstanding with Banky's account went down. You broke your compromise to not stir up trouble by bringing up CWM's alcoholism more than once in both the Hardcore Discussion and General Chat folders. Starting this thread in the hopes of getting Mr.Rant and FrigidSoul banned was a mistake as I see nothing ban worthy with what either person said since it is clear that both posters were making their comments in jest, not in a serious manner that would pose a thread to your well being. Again, you were grasping at straws with the topic of this thread and instead of seeing both Mr.Rant and FrigidSoul banned, you have managed to bring yourself into the spotlight with this thread and put yourself into question as to whether or not you should be banned yourself. Your argument has no legs to stand on, albeit Mr.Rant and FrigidSoul's comments were not made the best of taste. The comments made by you to CWM about his problems with alcohol are what I find more damning than Mr.Rant and FrigidSoul talking about a Grateful dead t-shirt or FrigidSoul talking about taking a piss on your grave when you are in no way or shape in the way of harm from either poster. In your defense Johnson, CWM should have ignored your comments. But it was clear you were just trying to get a rise out of him because otherwise you would have never brought up his alcoholism in the first place in your posts. I admit that it seemed like CWM has been on something of a witch hunt for you and I did not find it to be in his best interest. But you did yourself no favors Johnson by bringing up CWM's alcoholism in more than one of your posts as well as requesting the ban of two posters who did nothing, in my mind, that would constitute such an action. Initially when I saw this thread, I was not crazy about issuing a banning to either party involved in this thread because I did not see much of an offense that would warrant such an action. But after seeing the comments made by you to CWM in more than one thread about his problems with alcoholism and just general sniping of him in those threads you are, effective immediately, banned from TSM. To CWM, my parting words to you are to not let someone like Johnson get under your skin so easily next time and to let them dig their own graves instead of giving them more ammo to use against you.

Selma Blair To Play Lois Lane In Superman?
Sass replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Let the Smallville cast grow up and then start production on the Superman movie. Welling has the best look out of anyone I've seen who has been rumored to be Supes. Imagine if he was about 20 - 30 pounds heavier (muscle) and had a clean hair cut. He'd be the spitting image of what Superman should look like. Personally I'd like to see Angelina Jolie play Lois (she's only 2 years older than Welling) since she can "act" neurotic very well. Lois was always played off in the comics as being older than Supes so that would work. Keep Kreuk around as Lana. Or have her play Wonder Woman. Either way, get her away from the Tomb Raider movies. -
I stopped reading the thread after the 4th page but needless to say Sherdog has some guys there who could give the dopes of WC.com a run for their money. However, if the thread had taken place at WC.com it would have been locked after the 2nd page since Josh was "being unfairly criticized" as is the company line at WC.com in regards to the mods defending the wrestlers who post there. Sherdog looks as bad as you say it is RRR.

I imagine that Barnett was raked over the coals for his steroid test coming back positive last year? That reminds me of some of the comic book boards I visit. The Newsarama message board was filled with "Who would win and why?" threads that engulfed the board. This was about 2 years ago and I haven't been back there. Needless to say I soured on the whole topic. Do you post there or mainly lurk RRR?
-
If the fighters that post at Sherdog are anything like the wrestlers who post (or use to) at WC.com then you're probably onto something. What is the Mod/Admin staff like there?

Happy Birthday CC. Enjoy it while you can.

It seems that no one here realizes how lucky they are to have an owner like Dames running a board as large as this one. I'd be *shocked* if the WWE folder was some kind of utopia based on the large number of people who post in there. The level of intelligence will always vary in that folder and no matter how many people complain about the Smart Marks WWE Folder, I kindly point folks in the direction of the Wrestling Classic message board. If Dames were like Mark Nulty, half of you would all be banned by now (and some even further back). Mr.Zsasz would be banned on the spot for starting a thread like this if this were WC.com but luckily it's not so Mr.Zsasz is able to vent his frustrations out here. I have no problem with people venting or voicing their complaints like this since I am thankful that people are allowed to voice their thoughts or opinions here unlike WC.com where you have to play ball the way the moderators (and owner) want it played. Everyone here should be thankful that TSM has a site owner like Dames because I have met some unsavory folks over the course of my 10 or so years online who should have had a brick thrown at their heads and were just ass's in general to posters. For all the HHH, McMahon, Ross, Heyman threads, you can find about 2 other threads at WC.com that is complete nonsense or circle jerking amongst the cliques at that board. I still hear complaints about the Establishment but that was a kiddy's sleep over compared to the number of "friends" who post at WC.com and treat new posters (and old posters) like garbage. But the main reason I will take TSM over WC.com is this: Dames is one of the most approachable and damn-near as friendly owners as I have ever seen. I also think TSM has one of the top-notch mod/admin teams in regards to WC.com goon squad who run unsuspecting posters into the ground. Censorship is a common thing at WC.com and threads like this would have been yanked (along with some bannings be handed out). If you think their is favoritism here at TSM, then you should all go ahead and check out some of the posts in the Lou Thesz folder where the mods let the wrestlers get away with just about anything from calling posters names or trolling them in threads while the mods sit back and watch or even join in on attacks. Favoritism happens anywhere but at least the mods/admins here who have been accused of favoritism offered level-headed arguments for their actions at TSM instead of banning posters like at WC.com or completely dodging the question. Now mind you, neither board is superior to one another in the "good" discussions department since both have such a high number of posters who all have varying opinions from one another which will always lead to "communication breakdown" with the posters who feel the discussions are heading towards the toilet. I know it's sometimes "cool" or whatever to point out the stupidity of others since it is sometimes gratifying in some ways (I too have been guilty of this) but in situations like these where people are overlooking other boards like WC.com in calling TSM the "dumbest board" around, I shrug it off since WC.com is still running. The board is filled with bunch of 30 + year old men that can act like utter children at times while the average age of a TSM poster is high school age (I am taking a rough guess so bare with me, no offense intended) which cuts the board some slack in my opinion. Not everyone at WC.com is some old dolt who acts like a jerk to everyone since there are a number of guys there who make the board worth visiting. Of course some of you who berate TSM might have never known about WC.com until just now or visit it frequently enough to see the nonsense that I have which takes place there so that's cool. I simply just wanted to show everyone here a board that is just as bad (if not worse) as TSM and maybe get some folks to realize how lucky they are to have an owner like Dames and a mod staff (cheap POP~!) that puts the posters needs before their own. For every thread which is deemed "awful" here at TSM, there are about 5 other threads at WC.com's board that would make you feel as if you just lost some IQ points. Thank you all for your time.

You're welcome.

The book was one of the best things to come from comics during post-1996.
-
This has become so pitiful to read. If any of you have anything to work out with one another, take it to PM or AIM. I'm locking this thread since the original point of the question at the start of the thread has degenerated into another pissing match.

The description given sounds like it might be one of the Robin mini-series issues from the early 90's. I don't recall any issue of the 4 core Batman books sporting that cover in the late 80's/early 90's.

I wish the best for you Rico. My family has dealt with cancer before.

I think you should buy 2 copies. Who knows, maybe one day you'll ruin the one copy you own and the book might be hot. It's your $2.25. Y The Last Man #18, $2.95 New X-Men #151, $2.25 Sentinel #11, $2.99 Supreme Power #6, $2.99 Ultimate Spider-Man #52, $2.25 Weapon X #16, $2.99 - everyone needs to go out and check this book out. The whole run has been solid so far and this is coming from one of Tieri's harshest critics.

I'm a huge Bond fan but never read any of the books. My dad did and he said he loved them (I imagine he did not read them in order). Personally I appreciate the list you came up with Zsasz that lists the books in the right order to read them in. Thanks. I'll try to make time sometime soon here to go out and actually read the books. I think my dad might still have some of his old Bond books lying around...

It was New X-Men Annual 2001.
-
Shouldn't they be doing that with all the writers they hire? I mean... at LEAST 6 months. That's (unfortunately) not a company policy in the Big 2. Kevin Smith on his run with Green Arrow is the more well known example where it was required in his contract to pen a certain length of the run before it would be allowed to see see print.

Some of you might not be aware of this but I am the new mod here at TSM. Brian stepped down from his duties and I was slotted in his spot. Much thanks to Dames. I live on the west coast so I'll be able to deal with the problems that the other east coast mods/admins might not be able to see since they might be sleeping at the time. Just a heads up to all you folks. Thanks.

I love that Carlin bit too. "Hi Tucker! I'm Todd!"

You're about 10 pounds off AoO. We thought about naming the kid Harry. But we figured it would be best to spare him from the ridicule and taunts. His name is Eddie and I was thankful my girlfriend didn't rip my arm off when she was going through labor.
-
Hey, congrats Sass. I had no idea about this. Ripper and I alternate using this screen name. In all seriousness I just got done seeing the birth of my first child so I'm doing the whole Mr.Mom deal right now as it is. It's nice to see you posting again though 212.

It looks like she is going to have another "accident" down the stairs... God I'm going to Hell...that is if I believed in one.
-
I'm sure I can dangle a carrot in front of Dames and get him to make the move.

You got the "big" part right but messed up on the bully one. I'm actually a big prick. CWM can back me up on this one. All joking aside, I'd give JSYK my nod of approval as a member of the new ESTABLISHMEMT~!
