I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned, but one thing my buddies and I loved about WCW/nWo Revenge was the point system. That was cool as hell...occasionally we still keep track with my game on what records are still on it.

When Foley was on RAW a few weeks ago and talked about how the match at Wrestlemania was the greatest hardcore match ever and how he was the biggest superstar ever, I immediately knew this was Foley's idea because of his philosphy of "heels believe in whatever they say, even if it's totally wrong" and because Foley has gone on record saying he's wanted to get involved with Kurt Angle for some time, it definately has Foley's finger prints all over which bothers me even more. As far his alliance with Edge it's just like Stone Cold and HHH becoming allies in 2001. It makes NO SENSE. They fucking beat each other's brains out and then weeks later they're all "Let's just join up." That is also happening right now and you think they'd know better by now, especially someone like Foley. Another thing that someone else on the board pointed out that also just BAFFLES me is that they have done absoutely nothing to promote or even put over Tommy Dreamer. If you weren't a fan of ECW, you don't even know who the fuck this guy is at all. You'd think they would at least have him have the stick or something.

I never said it was erasing his accomplishments. I'm saying it's tainting the memories. Look at Flair...I'll never look at him the same. In the past 2 years, he's lost to people like Rico and Umaga CLEAN. This is Ric Flair! That's not putting over new talent, that's jobbing an old legend for nothing.

I watched some of Wrestlemania 20 yesterday and you know what's a really underrated match I think that doesn't get the credit it deserves? Rock/Foley vs. Batista, Orton, Flair. It's clothesline city, but it's a really enjoyable match that goes by quick...and it's really unique to see the crowd in the modern era of wrestling go back to the old school days and sit and actually appreciate the match and cheer along, but they aren't constantly jumping up and down and holding up signs and flipping out. The match has got good heat, but it's just not like ECW/TNA crowds that mark out for a rest hold. Batista/Orton looked totally lost out there, but I thought it was still an interesting contest that I'd like to see another one...3 on 2 handicap match of some sort to cover up some of the older guys that wrestle. Looking back on it, I would of had Rock lose to Orton though because even though I can't stand Randy Orton, he would of gotten more heat if he went over Rock, then went over Foley at Backlash but either way. It's a fun match.

Now I'm certain a fan and supporter of Mick Foley both in and out of the ring and I've looked up to him as well being somewhat of a wrestling purist and still believing in the art of it despite how the industry goes today. I think it's safe to say he's done enough in wrestling to be remembered forever, and he's one of the most respected and looked up guys both in the locker room and outside of it. But what in the hell is he doing wasting his time with this? Watching RAW tonight (among the other fucking shit that happened), I noticed how Foley's heat is GONE. Fans aren't sure what they are suppose to do when he comes out. There is no direction in his character. I can understand the old Cactus Jack ECW heel days but he's reached that certain point in WWE (Like Austin, Taker, Rock, Triple H, Angle, etc.) that certain guys become so popular and "good" that the fans will never take them serious as a heel anymore. For some reason I had flashbacks tonight of Foley retiring at Wrestlemania 16, flashbacks of Foley feuding with Evolution in 2004, and just recently Foley feuding with Edge. I was watching his 3 on 2 handicap match from Wrestlemania 20 (which is also a underrated and underappreciated match) and that was really enjoyable. Even though the rehashed the HHH/Foley stuff with Orton/Foley, it did help Orton in the long run (even though he's a piece of shit). I just don't understand what he's got left to prove and what he's really doing. Edge was the best heel on RAW before Foley and he's about the same now that he's aligned with him. I just have to think once One Night Stand is over, Mick Foley has to get the hell out for a while because I don't even know the point anymore. He always said he never wanted to end up like Terry Funk, constantly retiring and coming back, but that has indeed happened. The only thing left I think Foley can do is wrestle Angle next year at Wrestlemania in either a Farewell match or something. Who's going to remember this stuff in the future? Who the hell is going to remember the shit he did with Carlito back in October of 2005? Who's going to remember (or believe) the fact that he's anti-ECW when he's made his career being hardcore? Either or, I've been dissapointed with what he's doing because this is how I don't want to remember Mick Foley. It seems like just yesterday I was watching the "I Will Remember You" tribute to Foley after No Way Out 2000 and beliving that really was it. And now here we are six years later and I don't even know if Foley knows what he's doing out there. And the fact they've totally ruined ECW by having Randy Orton involved with the PPV, it just makes me think that they can never consistently do it right. I guess ECW One Night Stand 2005 was a mistake.

They decided to not make it interesting with someone like Rhyno and just had Orton come out and RKO him on Raw and now it's on the show. Literally, anyone going to One Night Stand, start up something where during the match everyone gets up and leaves or everyone gets up and turns around.

ECW is officially ruined with the precense of Randy Orton. In one instant I lost total faith in this PPV. One Night Stand 2005...lives forever.
