Ok, so I just got in from a long camping trip, a bit tired so I'll keep this short (and post a screenshot and stuff later). My pick is Shadowrun for the Genesis. One of my favorite open ended games ever. The way I see it, if I'm on a deserted Island, I need a game that is somewhat difficult and very open-ended. The setting of the game doesn't hurt either. I love this game because it was GTA before GTA was around, very open ended, and your actions somewhat influenced the game around you.

So with Draft mania running while on this board, I was wondering if their would be interest in doing a Superteam draft. And if so, what kind of guidelines would you necessarly put in place.

Ok, In about an hour and a half I'm going to be leaving for a long weekend away, either coming back Monday or Tuesday. I'll have a computer with me but don't know how regularly I'll be getting online. I'll PM my potential picks to mellow tho to keep this thing moving along.

With the next pick in the draft, I am picking a somewhat overlooked wrestler. He is a former ECW World Champion, TNA X Division and Tag Team Champion. He is a top notch light-heavyweight wrestler, somebody who I think could make an interesting match up with Pillman and as evidenced by his work in TNA with Styles, and maybe others that I'm considering. I remember a pep rally for our football team freshmen year. Our football team before that was really shitty. We were having a pep rally and nobody there was caring. Everybody was talking to their buddies, goofing off, and anything else other then cheering on the team. The school fight song comes up and nobody stands. It was so bad the Principal jumps in, yells at everybody, and says nobody is leaving until we all stand up and sing the fight song.

If it's like a desert Island Draft Thread for games, then I'm in.

Just a heads up as some people make their tag team selections (or just general picks). Obsessed With Wrestling has a ton of pics on their site, so you may be able to snag something there before you make your selection if you can't find the image you're looking for on google.

I really like the later selection in that you can see a lot of hidden gems, a lot of "Oh Man that's a good pick, I never thought of him" type people.

mellow is a good choice, lord knows I've used him a lot to post some of my picks.

Yeah, I really don't have much old school knowledge (I know the names and reputation of people, but not they're actual work) so I feel like I'm a bit behind on that end. Luckily tho most people have old matches and matches from Japan on Youtube/DailyMotion that I can view, get an inkling on their workrate and decide if they'd fit into my promotion.

I was considering letting him drop and hopefully picking him up when the rounds swing back up, but with the way the last round went for me decided if I really wanted him I needed to take him now.

OMG! Simultaneous Draft Picks! And so far I've been mostly happy with my draft. Would have really killed to gotten Jake the Snake or Ric Flair.

With the next pick in the draft, I'm picking somebody who I've been scouting for a couple of rounds now, but was unsure about picking him until now. He was a person who I was originally looking at when I chose Umaga, but he lost out the coin toss. However, it'd be interesting to set him loose on the upper card as an indestructible machine. With the 147th pick in the draft, I select Takeshi Morishima

I really don't think you could make a judgment like that because everybody has different strategies on where they're going with each pick.

But what about if person C is not around and person D is, how long does person D have to wait on person C before they can pick?

So 12hrs after the selection would have been made?

If one person misses his allocated time, how long do we have to wait for the next in line before the person after them can pick?

Ok, I think I'm going to quit thinking of guys to pick until my pick comes around. I literally had Steve Corino and Murdoch/Adonis on my mind to pick in this coming round.

Ok, After some deliberation, I think I came up with a solid pick this round. To call this guy the black Stone Cold is an insult to this man, as you should recognize that he was the originator. A former olympic bronze medalist in Judo, as well as one of the baddest motherfucker's around. With this pick in the draft, I select Bad News Brown

Ok, that's number 4 on my draft list for this round. I'm going to need some time to think.

Crap, Regal was another guy I was looking to pick up in this round

I'll 2nd that, pretty much as soon as you think of somebody that will be a good pick, you might as well pick them ASAP or they will be gone by your next pick.
