    Smackdown Spoilers

Velocity Scotty 2 Hotty b Eddie Craven Simon Dean b Paul London - London has a new ring outfit. Match was fast paced Kid Kash b Funaki - Kash looked real good Bob Holly b Sylvain with a small package. After the match, Sylvain went to do a chair shot but Holly stopped him and gave him the Alabama Slam on the chair Smackdown Ortons came out for a promo with Randy challenging Batista for a title match. Eddie Guerrero came out as a babyface. This led to a main event of Guerrero vs. Randy for the No. 1 contender spot Benoit b Orlando Jordan with a sharpshooter in 5:00. Before the match, Jordan said if he didn't win the title, he would never wrestle again. Sounds like a Russo stip Super Crazy & Psicosis (super over) b Regal & Burchill when Crazy used a moonsault most likely on Burchill. The Shane Twins hit the ring and beat up the Mexicools Peep Show with Stacy Keibler. Keibler denied the story in the Star about her feuding with Jennifer Anniston. Jillian Hall came out. Keibler made fun of Hall's face. They ended up fighting and started a new feud Booker T won a four-way, I guess for a U.S. title shot over JBL, Rey Mysterio and Christian. Rey went for the 619 on Booker, but Sharmell tripped Rey. Booker pinned Rey after an axe kick. They put over the idea that Booker didn't know Sharmell interfered. Said to be really good, fast paced and hot crowd Benoit and Sharmell argued backstage and Booker didn't know what was going on Bobby Lashley b Nunzio in a quick squash. There was a spot where Lashley pressed Nunzio and threw him out for Vito to catch. Well, Vito didn't catch him. Teddy Long and Palmer Canon were talking. Somewhere in here, the Boogey Man showed up. He did a promo that was borderline funny and ridiculous. Long thought he had potential. Well, in 2007 he might. Guerrero b Randy Orton via DQ. Eddie was on top for the frog splash when Bob threw him off for the DQ. The Ortons were beating on Guerrero when Batista made the uneasy save. Not sure if this will be TV or not, but appeared to still be on Long ordered Guerrero & Batista vs. Ortons. Short match with Eddie pinning Bob after a frog splash. They did one miscommunication tease spot with Guerrero & Batista took em from death valley driver

    Matches you love

'Taker vs. Orton in one of his 2002 title defences. I was shocked at how good Orton looked back then. Plus you can't go wrong with a swinging chokeslam as the finish.

    October 8th Velocity

Saw it on aussie TV today. Liked the battle royal, especially when it got to the final two. Don't really get the whole Ken Kennedy thing. Can't see why people should hate him at all, other than being annoying.

Who do you guys miss the most

Yeah, Rico was pretty big in OVW. Was on top of the card for a couple of years, either as the champ, a singles star or tagging with John Cena (Prototype).

    House of the Dead

The whole Graveyard scene in the movie is hilarious. Me and my friend got bored so we redubbed Monster Mash over the scene, just makes it that much better. There's also a part in the scene where you see a zombie dancing in the background (?!?).

  16. 20-08-2005 WWE Velocty Josh Matthews interviews William Regal. Regal has his evil sinister music and Lord Steven Regal cloak back. Recap of what happened with Scotty and the Mexicools. Regal says to never trust anyone with blonde hair and a black moustache. Regal says he’s going back to his old, rouge self. Full of venom and hate. Starts to put out an open challenge when… Scotty runs in and Regal beats on him til Scotty turns the tide goes for the Worm. Regal dodges and retreats. Josh says it’s far from over between these two. Nunzio (w/ Big Vito) Chance Thompson Nunzio says that Chance has passion to wrestle so he needs to fight Big Vito first. Big Vito beats the daylights out of Chance with chops, punches and throwing chance into the ringpost. Running elbow, 2 count. Massive double jump splash from Vito. Armbar by Vito. Chance comes back, straight into a superkick by Vito. Huge Impaler DDT from Vito and that gets the 3. Nunzio grabs the mic and tells Vito to pick him up. Nunzio says that he will give him a shot at the title next week. Then a low kick and Nunzio says the match will be now, and pins for the 3. * for the squash, Vito looked pretty impressive. Recap of Rey Mysterio vs. Eddy Guerrero Ken Kennedy vs. George Pervis Ken grabs the mic. And says the announcer needs to say it like he means it. Then does the announcements. Jobber squash to the max. Abdominal stretch to body scissors. George makes the comeback with jobber offence. Backbreakers to his Samoan roll to Senton. For the 3. ½* He then announces himself the winner. Recap of Randy Orton vs. Chris Benoit Hardcore Holly vs. Steven Richards Hardcore’s left arm is taped up. Steven starts on top of Hardcore, Holly back with chops, Steven with three bodyslams and kicks to the back. Steven works the back. Powerslam when Holly fights back. Steven works on the back some more. Holly goes for the dropkick, but his back delays him. Triple H on Punk'D

And he goes to Taz, Dude where's my car? then Taz goes, "my friend Joey Numbers will hook you up with a car," and escorts him away.
  18. Show Starts with a video package showing last week on Velocity!!! Paul Londons title loss and subsequent promo. (couldn't believe they had this for a velocity angle!) Candice comes out as the Ring Announcer. Paul London vs. "The Future" Frankie Kazarian Matthews refers to the Super 8 tournament and past Kazarian and London meetings Pretty decent match, Mushroom stomp, Electric Chair into a bridge by Kazarian, London comes back with some STIFF kicks. Finish comes with London trying to counter the Electric Chair drop again into a victory roll and Kazarian sits down and wins clean. about **3/4 After the match, London kicks the ropes and says we've all been screwed again. Nunzio w/Big Vito vs. Jimmy Jacobs! Nunzio completely dominates, Vito gets some cheap shots in. Nunzio wins with the Sicilian Slice off the second rope. * and that's it for the squash. Recap of Rey and Eddy segment. Funaki vs. Ken Anderson Ken tells off the ring announcer and takes the mic and redoes the intr os, and calls himself Mr. Anderson. Finish comes when Ken Anderson hits a rolling Firemans Carry senton off the top rope!!!!!! still * really pedestrian match. Anderson announces himself the winner Recap of JBL/Batista segment Torrie comes out to announce the final match "Big" Stevie Cool vs. Hardcore Holly Richards works on his left knee and Hardcore sells it really really well. Finish comes when Holly struggles with the Alabama Slam because of his knee. But struggles and struggles til he hits it. **3/4 A lot better then you'd think it would be. Verdict : I enjoyed the matches alot more then Raw or Smackdown, so overall good show.

I couldn't believe it, the most pedestrian match ever, and he finishes with that.

The OAO Raw Thread for 08.08.05

The thing is, he DID have personality when given the chance. His matches against Triple H showed alot of in-ring charisma. Hell, his match with Shawn Michaels, especially the beginning of it, showed a lot of personality. His backstage interaction with Jericho showed personality. When given the chance, he can show personality. The thing is, when the writers are giving him absolute garbage lines about the GM's breath stinking and making him look like a complete loser to a guy that no one gives a crap about (Masters), it's tough for someone to show personality and have the fans care about him. His opponents are so bad that he can't even show personality in the ring, something he has proven on more than one occasion he can do. It's hard to fault the guy for not getting people to get behind him when honestly, he looks like as much of a loser as a Heat jobber looks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I' was never sold on his work with Triple H, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt with that. But as for personality, WHAT personality? I remember the line about Jericho being a bitch, or something with Fozzy, but other than that, there's nothing that he's said or done that's seemed natural for HIMhim. He looks like the Heat jobbers, acts like the Heat jobbers, and just sounds forced whenever he talks. Like he's TRYING to come off as some hardass that he isn't. Maybe it's just his voice, his delivery, I dunno what, but none of it seems right. And obviously he can't do anything about his voice, but shit, get him a mouth piece, then. Do SOMETHING. Hide his flaws. I guess it depends on what you're looking for out of your program. I agree he hasn't shon much of a character, but I don't think they've done anything to HELP that problem by giving him terrible lines. You'd think they would go up to him and say "Deliver this line like this, and it'll go over perfectly, people will take you seriously" He definitely needs a serious/edgier gimmick/character because comical doesn't work for someone who really isn't a funny guy. I still like him...which is funny because my other fav. guy on raw is ALL character and NO moves yet (Carlito) They should turn Shelton and make a tag team. I pretty much touched on the lack of opportunity thing, so yeah, it pretty much is true, but still, through what he's shown, it doesn't seem like there's much left for the imagination. for the Carlito love. And they definitely SHOULD put him back in the tag team ranks, if for nothing else, again, to hide his flaws until he's ready. The laid back, smart ass character isn't for him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I feel that way about the "I am not a joke" promo, I was laughing so hard at Jericho shouting and trying to be a badass.
  21. Velocity is showing here at the moment, and the match with Nunzio was alright, nothing special. But his promo afterwards was just plain weird. Talking about taking everyone on a march to WWE Headquarters with him to get "my... errr our WWE Crusierweight Championship back". So it looks like he's turning heel, afterwards he got booed pretty heavy too.
  22. The crowd certainly believed that was a heel turn from the boos. I guess the mine our thing seemed arrogant to them.
