They should tall eam up and call themselves the HepCats.
-
What'd they name their kid? Awhore Arose? How apropos. I wonder if Vince and HHH are fighting over who gets to eat the placenta and gain the demonic power therewithin.
-
Called it. (In the Kane thread, that is.)
-
The fault, then, is in the starter of the thread and the misleading title. Or, perhaps, that was the intention, and the fault lies in those that insist it should be otherwise. I'm sure this has been mentioned already. Nevertheless, I will try to play along. Now where did I put my original post? Oh right, here it is… • I don't get the love for Maria. She's not pretty, her body's not hot, and her "acting dumb" schtick makes me change the channel. She brings out the violent misogynist in me. (I think I explained my position quite succinctly. I don't find her attractive or entertaining. 'Nuff said.) • Melina's face and monstrously fake boobs scare little children. And her legs are chunky. I remember when she first started, she could leap onto the apron into a full split, instead of lifting one leg first like she does now. (I know some of you feel you have to defend the "fat girls", but that's how I feel. Capital "O"-pinion.) • I will never stop being bored with HHH and HBK, which makes me all the more annoyed with the regurgitation of DX. (And judging from their pathetic performance last night, I think I'm justified.) • VKM makes me hate wrestling, both on-air and behind the scenes. And the more I see Shane McMahon and his stupid hamster dance, the more I want to throw him into the path of an oncoming train. (See above.) • I don't know if it's because I like being a contrarian, but the growing swell of hatred toward John Cena makes me like him more and more. I kinda feel sorry for him in a way. I still don't think Edge should have jobbed the title back to him, but I hope Cena holds onto the title for a long time. (Oops.) • I will never like the Sandman or New Jack. Useless garbage twats. (If you need a popular song to stay over, you're not worth keeping on the roster.) • Kevin Nash is not funny or entertaining. He should be shot like the lame horse that he is. (If you find his insider jokes, smarmy attitude, and lack of wrestling abiliity amusing, then more power to you. I, however, do not. • Ken Kennedy is a one-trick pony. I hope he never comes back. (Damn. Well, I still don't find him all that impressive as a wrestler. Not enough to get such mad-love from the IWC.) • I will always hold out hope that Brock Lesnar will come back to North American wrestling. (If you don't like him, that's okay. I do. I miss the big lug.) • AJ Styles does not impress me. All those contrived moves are what is wrong with wrestling. Add Chris Sabin to that list. And I will never like the Canadian Destroyer. What a dumb move. (A lot of his moves, while physically impressive, tend to take me out of the suspension of disbelief necessary to watch wrestling. One spot in particular: the springboard inverted DDT. Most of the time he lands so awkwardly that everyone has to stop for three seconds before he can finish the move. And I'm not particularly fond of his superhero flying forearms. Very cartoonish. I will change my stance on Sabin a little, as he's growing on me with every Impact episode (although, it's probably by default, since the rest of the show is usually crap.) • Hogan and Piper need to stay off my TV forever. And I wouldn't mind if UT joined them. (Not entertained by them at all. And no, I didn't see UT v. Angle at the last PPV. Old is old. Flair is definitely on his way there as well.) • Sunny wasn't that hot. And I think it's apropos that she ended up an ugly chubby crack whore. Too bad Chris Candido died instead of her. My opinion. Not necessarily anyone else's, harsh as it may be.) • Chavo will never get over. (I have yet to see him get a sustainable crowd reaction that didn't involve his Uncle Eddy. Until that day happens, I stand by my assertion.)

What he said. Really. And I agree with the sentiment that Vince needs to understand what it is he's got in ECW: an alternative to the wrestling that is out there already. It's like educating all the WW_-style fans to appreciate something new to them. If some of them fall off and ECW doesn't sell out large arenas, so be it. ECW was never meant for that. But if… IF fans can be educated to liking the "ECW style" of wrestling, like WW_ fans were trained to appreciated the wrestling goodness of the Radicalz back in 2000, things can only look up for the industry as a whole. Maybe. And if not, at least I'll be entertained. Maybe.

The story with Imposter Kane and Kane.
notJames replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
The point is moot. I think they just killed the fake Kane angle. And rightly so. (I hope…) -
I defy anyone to say they were actually entertained by the DX segment. Talk about drowning in flop sweat. Those two were dying out there, and rightly so. The only laughs they got out of me were of the schadenfreude variety. Unfunny, unentertaining… how apropos that the skit ended in a monsoon of shit. Crap in, crap out. I can't wait until the Championship becomes the focus of the show again. Unfortunately, it would probably take you-know-whhho in the title hunt to make it so. Plus ça change, plus c'est la meme chose.

Brain… hurts. Me… must… leave. Ugh. <Thanks for killing my brain, you murderers.>
-
Hope this comes to pass. I'm getting tired of people saying "the WWE" when if you use the full name the "the" makes no sense". Kinda like "the wCw".
-
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it was a house show thing. Or maybe it was an ECW initiation ritual. Someone mentioned Cena's bladejob after the legdrop. I think that was hardway from the chairshot, considering the big potato he was sporting abovehis eye. That thing swelled up and turned purple like that kid from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Thank god for SD v. Raw 2 and picture-in-picture. Every time DX was shown, I just switched over to the game. There's a reason it's called rehash. I can't believe they ripped off Jackass with the stupid fat stripper almost verbatim. How much more uncreative can Creative get?!? Feh. And I've never been a fan of Sabu's, but I'm actually looking forward to his fight v. Cena at the PPV. Here's hoping the match is grounded enough so that's it's not the usual spot:move-to-the-next-spot:spot garbage he usually does.

He must be really rich and have alot of free time or very stupid to spend 1600 dollars on dvd's. Money + no sense of priority = disaster. They probably live at home or rent cheaply and aren't saving for the future (house, car). I can't get over how a lot of them are buying up stuff like TV series that you can watch for free on any variety of cable stations. Especially something like Law and Order, which I think is on three different stations in syndication! Ludicrous. That said, this is the only time I buy DVDs, and since I'm very very particular about what I purchase, I think I did okay. Sure I spent about $150, and I have a mortgage to pay and two kids to support, but for all the stuff I don't buy all year, I think I'm entitled to this one luxury. (Actually, two, since the sale also runs in November, but I use it to buy Xmas presents. )

Since we're on the subject, how would you guys characterize Taz handing the belt to Mike Awesome after he won the ECW Championship? Spotlight-hogging or good sportsmanship?
-
What he said. On the one hand, this makes the ECW "stars" look like total losers. On the other hand, most of those guys are. My god, the love guys like Sandman and Sabu get is inconceivable to me. What do they bring to the table except contrived spots and business-exposing nonsense? Ooh, they can bleed. Wonderful. Don't even get me started on Justin Tolerable and Jobbin' Stevie Richards. Feh. That said, I'm still excited to have another hour of wrestling on TV. If anything, it will be a springboard for all the up-and-comers I keep hearing about but never see.
-
42 years old. Damn. RIP.
-
Run-ins. Lots of run-ins. I imagine the non-battle royal matches will end as no contests. And the battle royal will be won by Kurt Angle. He's the new face of ECW, but he's still perceived as WW_ talent. It's win/win. Except for the ECW fans. What would be worse would be Orton winning by ousting Angle at the end. So expect that to happen instead.
-
That about sums it up for me. Sabu? Sandman? Ballz Mahoney? Feh. Double feh if New Jack shows his no-talent ass at the PPV. I knew they should have stopped at last year's ONS. This won't be the same. That said, I'm still kinda glad ECW's coming back full time so I can see new guys debut and kill the old guard.
-
I'm glad wCw is dead. What a pathetic excuse for a wrestling organization it was, from top to bottom. And the way TNA is mishandling their talent, I will be glad when WW_ swallows them whole and spits out all the wCw rejects… again. G-double-O-double-N-double-E! Sting = boring. Always has, always will.

I liked Audrey Tatou and Ian McKellen. That's about it. The rest of it was popcorn fare, which is not my cup of tea. I liked it better than the book, which I thought was a bore. I guess knowing how things would play out in advance made it more tolerable. And before you ask, it was a birthday gift for my wife. Plus we got to see it AND X-Men 3 for $5 total. Can't beat that.

I missed the winter one last year, since IIRC they ran it in November and not in December. Anyone know if they're doing another 20% sale soon?
-
So… Any word about this yet? Bueller?
-
What he said. In spades.

I have that set. My wife bought it for me when we started dating many moons ago, in a galaxy yadda yadda yadda. My 4-year-old son loves them.
