Earlier this week I went over to help a friend out who had some problems with his computer. The major problem was constant pop-ups from explorer and a search bar at the bottom of the screen. So I went and did the usual of running CWS Shredder which removed a few of the bugs then I ran Ad-Ware. After a 10 minute or so search it found 645 bugs in several folders. The search bar disappeared and everything looked good so I decided to defrag the C: drive. It went good for about 3 minutes then the popups from hell came and never stopped leaving about 40 windows open. We decided to just reinstall Windows XP which seemed to work.
