Ok it's been a prety good season so far but I hate when people get into their tight knit groups and they just smugly get rid of people. It makes the show boring b/c you know who is going where. Gary was my favorite and now he's gone b/c EVERYONE turned on him. I was sure that Rafe was going to turn on Judd after finding out what a liar he was. I hope Judd goes soon. At this point the only people I could stomach winning this game are Rafe and Danni. I can't stand Steph(she's a bitch), Judd(he's an ass), or Cindy(she's a smug bitch).

Damn religious people. Anyway I thought it was funny that the oldest boy was trying to sword fight the witch and she was just doing it so effortlessly. She knew what she was doing.....which is weird for a woman. Anyway I wondered how the kids were suddenly so good with their weapons when they'd probably never handled one before?

Well Stoops was 3-1 in bowls and had a national title in his second season. Then it all fell apart the last two years. Two years ago b/c the driving force of his offense should've by all rights been in a wheel chair and the guy that fired his defense up was taking another coaching position. Mike Stoops didn't coach in the Big XII title game or the first half of the Sugar Bowl and OU got lit up. He got on headset in the second half of the Sugar Bowl and LSU had like one first down. Then in his second straight bowl loss he basically had a team with no heart going up against a much better team. I mean I still think USC would've won if OU had been playing with heart but it wouldn't have been as bad. The Sugar Bowl I think could've been a deal where if they played 10 times then OU wins 5 or 6. The Orange Bowl was a deal where if they played 10 times then USC wins 9.

So how much is judo and jiu-jitsu going to help me if it comes to some bar fight or something? I've never started a fight but I've had a couple started with me. I'm usually able to handle myself b/c it's some smaller guy with a chip on his shoulder but I mean I'm fucked if I get into it with someone who's my size and has been in some fights. So it'd be nice to have this stuff as defense. I suppose you can even save yourself from having to hurt someone if you know some good chokes.

Every team in the Big XII outside of OU and Texas appears to be in rebuilding mode so it's not to much of a shock that the conference wouldn't be good.

I don't think they have the personnel to be a legitimate NC contender next season. If Bomar continues to improve and they can get a senior season out of Adrian Petersen then they could be a serious threat in two years. I agree with that. I honestly though don't see the personnel on this team that we had in 2003. In 2003 if White hadn't gotten injured and Mike Stoops hadn't taken the Arizona job I think they would've easily finished the season with the national title. But I don't see a lot on this team outside of AD that compares to that team.

You think OU will beat Oregon next year? I know OU will be a 10 win possible Big XII champion next year but I don't know anything about Oregon next season.

I didn't say they were better than Barry. But Salisbury said that Reggie Bush is a "Once in 40 years" player which means that he thinks he's better than Sanders. Because he's saying you only get a player this good once every 40 years or so and I'm pretty sure Barry happened less than 40 years ago. And on top of that Salisbury put Bush up there with LT and Alexander and said those were the 3 best players on the planet. And I can't remember which ESPN guy it was but one of them said that Bush was the best player on the planet period. And of course they were ridiculing Ditka today for saying he'd rather have LT and Larry Johnson than Reggie Bush. So basically there's a bunch of people saying Bush is an NFL superstar.....before the guy has ever set foot on an NFL field! The guy could walk into the NFL and be a total flop. There's been great college players that have done it and he could be another one. So I wish everyone would quit acting like it's a sure thing this guy will win the rushing title and MVP.

Yes I have seen several USC games. Yes the guy is good but there will be people in the NFL that are, get this.....FASTER THAN HIM! And bigger and meaner! He hasn't been proven in the NFL. And he's not going to be able to hurdle anyone in the NFL and I honestly don't think he can pull off all those moves because in the NFL he's playing against the best of the best who have just as many moves if not more moves and speed than he does. He may be awesome but he's not the greatest thing to ever happen to football and I think when all is said and done LT, Shaun Alexander, and yes even Barry Sanders will be considered better football players than Reggie Bush. Yeah I can understand why the NFL analysts are creaming themselves but to ridicule Mike Ditka for saying he'd rather have Johnson and LT is ABSURD. Johnson and LT have proven themselves in the NFL and Bush has not. Of course you take them over Bush.

I think it'll be a good game. OU is a lot better than their record. If we go back to the beginning of the season and have OU play like they are now then they easily take TCU and probably UCLA. Why are the NFL guys going so crazy over Reggie Bush? I understand he has talent and he's awesome but there are some guys that were just awesome in college that turn out to be nobody in the NFL. What if Bush becomes an NFL bust? Seriously everytime ESPN mentions the guy I think I'm listening to a USC press release written by an undergrad at USC. The guy is not tested in the NFL so I wish they'd quit putting him up there as "one of the best players in the world" and putting him next to the likes of LT and Alexander. Well first of all Peterson was still injured against UCLA. Yeah he went out for half the season when he injured it against KSU but he suffered his original ankle injury against TCU. Second of all you can't judge OU based off of those early season games before Texas. Bomar was still figuring things out and they were having line trouble. Most of OU's trouble in that game came from QB/Center exchange problems which they don't have anymore. If OU hadn't turned the ball over so much against UCLA then they would've won the game. UCLA got 17 points off of turnovers. OU had Drew bottled up the whole game then they let him go at the end when they realized it was over. So I don't think you're right at all and your assessment is way off base. If Oregon loses it's because OU won the game. I still picked Oregon but OU is nowhere near as bad as you're making them out to be. You said Kent was the fastest OU has faced? Don't forget they've faced Vince Young, Ramonce Taylor, Limas Sweed, Jammal Charles, Jarrett Hicks, Taurean Henderson, and Maurice Drew this season. All those players are very good and very fast. Oregon won't be able to run and OU should be able to run with Peterson. The guy can break huge runs when he's healthy and he's a freak of nature. If Bomar turns the ball over then they're in trouble but he hasn't fumbled or been sacked in a long time.

Ok I still don't know who Takada is or why it was bad he took Gracie down. Also anybody ever watch the Ultimate Fighter? I just rented season 1 and I hear it's good. Also Ortiz had a couple of fights after Liddell right? How did he fare?

The defensive staff is still pretty damn good. The only issues the defense has had since Mike left was the secondary. The thing is though that it is really young this season and they aren't quite getting lit up like they were last year with experienced players. So that tells me that this year it may just be youth b/c Bobby Jack Wright is the new secondary coach and he's supposedly a Mike Stoops clone. Venables runs the front 7 and they're among the best in the country. For a time they had the #1 rush defense and I believe they're still in the top 5. OU can make it to the QB and create havoc in the backfield. They've got a ton of sacks and I believe the linebackers have more INTs than the secondary. On top of that Stoops is one of the best defensive minds in the country and O-Coordinator Chuck Long has proven that when he wants to he can produce some amazing plays that get them some points. His play calling is good but his problem stems from either playing a bad team or getting ahead and then getting complacent. I don't believe that he gets complacent against Oregon. He'll come out of the gates firing and pulling out all the stops. I expect Oregon to do the same obviously. But basically you just did the same thing the USC fans did in regards to Texas. "Oh well my coach is going to have all this time to prepare which will make things difficult for your team!" and the response is kind of like "Yeah but we have a great coach too that will also have the same amount of time to prepare." I mean your statement kind of acted like Stoops wasn't going to prepare that he was just going to deal with it and let the other team do all the preparing. Which is not the case. Stoops is one of the best coaches in the country and he's going to take a more active hand in the defense. His defenses at Florida were amazing and so was OU's defense for a time(i mean they had a top 5 defense from like 2000 to 2003).

Yeah but Stoops and his staff will have a month to gameplan and Stoops is one of the best coaches in America.

He will. Oregon's biggest weakness is their run defense, and Peterson should be ready to run the ball 40 or so times after having so much time off between games. The only way Oklahoma loses the game is if they let Bomar throw the ball too much, and Oregon starts picking him off. If Bomar throws 1 INT or less, the Sooners win the Holiday Bowl. Yes but what of OU's very very porous pass defense?

Since this is a bowl babbling thread to I'd like to mention that OU's chances of winning in the Holiday Bowl hinge on AD getting going. If AD does not go over 100 yards and get at least a TD(probably will need 2) they won't win.

I'm going through training withdraw. I need to get in there and train but I can't b/c the gym is closed on Sunday's and tomorrow is the christmas party so there will be no training. And then Tuesday I have a final during class time. ARGH!

What's the difference between Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Jiu-Jitsu? I've seen Gracie fight. I've seen like the first five UFC's but I haven't seen then since like right after they came out on video. I honestly wouldn't be interested in this stuff if I wasn't training in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu. And honestly I'm not interested in learning to do any kind of MMA competition. I'm mostly doing it for fun, maybe a few judo tournaments, and I think it's a great thing to dedicate myself to.

So if any of us ran into Gracie in a back alley or some sort of street fight he'd fuck us up? Right? And since I wasn't around at the time but I just saw the highlights on the DVD I'd like to say that it was satisfying to see Ortiz knocked out after he talked so much trash to Chuck. And Chuck just brushed him off and was like "Whatever" everytime Ortiz started in. Didn't Ortiz dominate for a time there?

Wow OU still can't shoot against Coppin State! They only score 57! They won but still god damn. What would the score of a UK/OU game be? 40-38?
