After reading an article I've discovered that Malcom Kelly's hamstring knotted up and he was considered doubtful. Damn, I was excited to see him play.
-
Is Malcom Kelly not playing?

Murray will be the starter but he'll still have to split carries. Chris Brown is back and they have Mossis Madu who is arguably as good as Brown. And, I hear they may try to work some of the freshmen into the mix (which is stupid, redshirt calhoun). But, Madu may be moved to corner as well so who knows.

Watching him on his back? Watching him throw INTs? Yeah, he got mauled by Georgia but the Redskins O-Line is a smidge better than the Hawaii team. I'm more interested in seeing how his release and accuracy translate to Zorn's West Coast Offense. But every D-Line in the NFL is better than Georgia's.

Alright, 10 overtimes where neither team scores! I can't really speak for Ohio State, but watching OU's performances it's like they don't want to even win the bowl game with the way they got completely beaten up last year and the way they let the tricks beat them against BSU. It would be like if the Red Sox (before they won it all in 04) met the Cubs a few years back in the World Series. Karma doesn't want these teams to win, so the game will stretch forever as neither gets close to winning. For the record I think the NC game will be Ohio State and Georgia. I know the schedule is brutal, but they could probably get there with one loss.

Texas Tech has become quite the media darling to win the Big XII south, well they were in the magazines. When the Big XII preseason polls came out it was all OU and Mizzou. I haven't really spoken about my team in here. Honestly I don't know what to think. They should still be very good, but it's been proven time and time again they lose their balls in bowl games. It's kind of hard to get excited again if they have a great season because I'll just be waiting for the bottom to drop out. Plus they have question marks at WR, LB and DB. Funny they lost their best player at each position to the NFL draft......

I saw Step Brothers and Dark Knight for the second time this week. I thought Step Brothers was hilarious. I laughed the whole way through. Then again I'm a huge John C. Reily mark.

Goddamn I hope that is sarcasm. No it's not. Just about everyone that watched the courtroom proceedings said Bennetts lawyers far outclassed the city of Seattle's lawyers.
-
I think it is Thunder. Those were things that were probably registered before they figured out which they were going with. No clue why they'd misspell Marshals though. It's not like Bennett's legal people are stupid (as evidenced by their ass whipping of the city of seattle). Yeah Thunder would be hard to make a log of, but I mean you have Miami Heat. How do you show Heat? Their logo is a basketball on fire. That's not heat, that's a fire. There's heat coming off the fire but it's not actual heat. So with Thunder they could go with a black cloud with Lightening coming out of it because where there's lightening there's usually thunder. It was going to be impossible to come up with a name that appeased everyone though.

I wonder if this is Clemson's year, or will they stumble when they shouldn't?

UFC 88: Breakthrough - Liddell vs. Evans

So what weight is Hamill/Franklin at? -
It's 3.49 here in OKC.

So is any other conference's media days going on besides the Big XII? Nothing really interesting is coming out of the Big XII media days so far. Except maybe Mizzou talking trash on OU again, these guys just don't learn their lesson.

Affliction - Banned: Fedor vs. Sylvia
Damaramu replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I just rewatched the fight. I thought it was funny that Sylvia tried to clinch with Fedor and basically thought he was just going to overpower him like he does everyone else and then Fedor just started blasting him. Big Timmy tried to use his size to bully someone again and got bitch slapped. -
Texas at 15? Have the Longhorns really lost that much? Oh well. And Texas Tech at 14? I've read them as the darlings to win the south everywhere else.

Affliction - Banned: Fedor vs. Sylvia
Damaramu replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Barnett/Fedor would be badass. Big Timmy sure has talked a lot about how he could beat Fedor in the past, and then he was just completely humbled. I loved it. -
I read some guy saying on another message board that Silva didn't have one punch KO power. After nearly knocking Irvin's teeth out with one punch I wonder if his tune has changed. This almost reminded me of the Leben fight in the sense that Irvin was talking a lot and seemed confident. Then when Silva connected with his first punch the dude just clammed up and looked kind of freaked.
-
Yeah but.......
-
That picture is great. I had a terrible dream that Silva blew out his knee in this fight and nobody but me saw it. I was watching it and I saw something pop out in his knee and then he hit the ground just as Irvin swung. Then Irvin pounced on him and none of my friends I was watching it with could see the knee blowout in the replay. And Rogan and Goldberg didn't see it either and they were hailing Irvin as some sort of giant killer and just generally going crazy over it. Now I'm nervous. Better not be an omen.

Ok, so I graduated college last May with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Well I used that to secure a job as sports editor wtih the Dodge City Daily Globe last August. I worked by myself in a town that was used to having 2-3 sportswriters and was just generally miserable. My boss was a complete idiot and wanted me to always do more with less. People around the paper were dropping like flies and I was constantly yelled at by cross country mothers for not driving 2 1/2 hours to cover a meet. Other than that I got a lot of compliments. But, Dodge City sucks ass and the job sucked. It's hard to cover a main high school. a JUCO and 13 area schools by yourself with no stringer or part-time help. Plus I was on salary and only making 22K and working 50-60 hours a week. So I quit and moved back to OK at the beginning of May. Since coming back I've taken a few temporary jobs, but I'm still looking for my career. I don't want to work for a newspaper anymore. You make close to pennies working there and I can't handle it. I still like to write about sports, but that can be accomplished by strining on Friday nights at high school football games. So, I've applied to become a police officer and to work at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Both pay about the same, 30K. Everyone keeps telling me that's nothing but it's a hell of a lot more than 22K and there is room for advancement (nobody at the Globe had gotten a raise in 3 years). So I hear the general horror stories about cops and people try to discourage me saying I'll be miserable because everyone I encounter will hate me, etc. They also say that I'll become a shady person if I become a cop. That doesn't make a ton of sense to me. And my mom is afraid of me getting killed in the line of duty. Well the other one is Enterprise. I worked there as a car prep in college and enjoyed it. I got along with the people I worked with and I had fun driving the customers around. Obviously now I'd be renting cars. And their pay scale is really good. The only problem is you have to be a salesman. I can handle that. Then I discovered failingenterprise.com and read all the stories from jilted customers and employees. The majority of the posts there seem to be from people that are just pissy. And some of the anti-employment stuff seems flat out made up. They tried to say their employees work 13 hour days with no break (enterprise is only open 10.5 hours M-F and 4 Sa) and they work 60-70 hours a week (enterprise is only open 58 hours or so a week). And then they all say 30K is laughably bad and no college graduate should work for that wage. Well, 30K may not be good for most people but I live in the cheapest state in the union and just came from a job that only paid me 22K and I was a college graduate! So has this every happened to anyone? You go job searching and everything you seem to land on is shot down by everyone you know or just be reading around online. I'm still going to take the job at Enterprise if it's offered because I worked there and I know a lot of that site to be BS. And also, has anyone ever been about to take a job and heard horror stories that later turned out to be not true? Or did they discourage you from taking the job?

Well he's just acting like a little kid. He can't make up his damn mind and everyday we hear something new. He's just yanking everyone around and he can't make up his mind. He's really reminding me of a woman.

Is anyone else really tired of the Favre saga?
-
Why was he doing it in his car? He couldn't at least go into a bathroom somewhere?
