Wow I didn't even see the reaction from ESPN until I saw it on the local news. Skip Bayliss, Tim Cowlinshaw, Tony Kornheiser, and Michael Wilbon all called it bullshit. Wilbon said if he was a voter he wouldn't even count the loss because OU won the game according to him! Even the Oregonian declared it a travesty and said OU should've won. Now I ask the Oregon fans here........how can you be proud of this victory? After everyone media, conference officials, Oregon PLAYERS(Paysinger said he touched the ball first and touched it before it travelled 10 yards) admit that it was a farce and OU should've won the game! Everyone is saying that it was a horrible ending to the game and that OU was dicked hard. How can you be proud of it? I'd love to hear the reaction from Oregon fans. I'd like to have heard their talk radio today. I didn't even know an OU player actually recovered the kick until I watched the video. That's even worse.

Well seems how there's been new developments it kind of needed to be brought up. God damn. I mean the Pac 10 admitted OU was hosed and should've won the game. That had to be mentioned. Oh and the death threats is stupid. It's just a game at the end of the day.
-
In the end it sucks because even though they admit that they were wrong and OU should've had the ball to win the game it doesn't change anything. Basically OU could run the table and be left out of the national title game b/c they have one loss. Imagine if OU were to do that.....be a one loss team? The fans in Norman would be atomic. Then imagine if there were no undefeated teams? OU would've been guaranteed a place in the title game if that were to happen.

At least the Pancrase question! And was Shamrock/Ortiz any good? Frank Shamrock that is. -
Oh well! That's my fucking team. It's who I want to talk about! And seems how the things I just mentioned ARE newsworthy it bears discussion.
-
At least the Pac 10 is admitting it. The SEC is insisting that the calls to LSU-Auburn were all above-board, despite the pass interference call against LSU and the subsequent PI call waved off against Auburn. Well the conferences won't admit to wrong doing when both of their teams are involved. OU got screwed against Texas Tech last year too and the Big XII was like "What? There was a game between OU and Texas Tech?" You know if OU hadn't gotten screwed they'd have a winning streak up there with TCU. 12 games in a row. What does this do for OU now? Will the voters and the media take it easy on them? Will they vote now like OU is undefeated? The Pac 10 basically admitted that OU should win the game! And I said before how could Oregon fans be proud of this win and several told me they were.........NOW how can you be proud when your own conference basically admits you should've lost!? Herbstreit needs an email telling him that the Heisman is for the best player not the best player on the #1 team because then Peterson would be above Smith. I know Herbstreit is going to prop Smith up all year b/c he's an OSU alumni. Peterson might get screwed out of the Heisman due to ESPN politics. Great.......and it's not like it's Peterson's fault OU lost! And Lushus fortunately or unfortunately the OU fan here has the loudest voice.
-
I can't believe Herbstreit said Peterson shouldn't be the Heisman leader b/c OU lost. It's not his fault. It's not for the best player on the #1 team Kirk! It's for the best player! As of right now Peterson deserves the Heisman. He's been putting up better numbers than his freshman year and he's doing it with a bad offensive line, like one playmaking receiver, and a QB nobody is afraid of. OH and he's doing it against 8-9 guys in the box all the time! I don't see how Troy Smith is the Heisman winner over Peterson now. Smith is playing really well but he's doing it with a ton of talent meanwhile Peterson is doing it pretty much by himself! Apparently the Pac 10 has apologized and suspended the officiating crew and the replay official. They admit it was the wrong call. Doesn't do much to help OU though. Also the Pac 10 admits that the call cost OU the game.

It's dropped all the way to 2.07 here in Norman........will it drop below 2?
-
He's a rookie who wasn't a thrower in college.....you were expecting Joe Montana?
-
Well damn the Cowboys won. Oh well they have the same record as the Eagles so maybe it won't be so bad tomorrow.
-
Yeah but if Nebraska had run a better offense and actually scored then USC's offense would've changed and they would've put up more points......right King? I can't believe you're actually high on OU. I thought everyone here hated them. So you think they'll win the Big XII? I'm not saying it's a lock by any stretch. But I know the winner of OU/Texas will do it and OU has a very real shot in that game. Let's not forget that they beat Texas 5 straight with teams that were less talented than Texas some of those years.
-
I thought the whole point of Callahan going to Nebraska was to run a more modern offense and yet here he is doing nothing but running plays. They said something about how this was resembling a Tom Osbourne offense.....Osbourne would've called better running plays.
-
What was his revisionist history and why did they use it in a game?
-
It looked to me like Zac Taylor was about to revolt at one point. He was giving the sideline pissed off looks and shaking his head and just looking totally pissed. I would've revolted and audibled until he took me out of the game. I mean I don't know the etiquette on that but as a senior QB leader I'd want to give my team a chance to win despite what the coach says.
-
Yeah.....that's why polls suck. The writers and coaches vote off names and scores without actually paying attention. The heisman voters vote off flash and who is being hyped the most. Not actual contribution to the team or being the best player in college football. Then of course the computers just have all kinds of kinks in their formula. None of it is perfect. Meanwhile ESPN sits back and complains about it all and acts like they're above it all without actually coming up with a solution. Oh and they contradict themselves and appear as hypocrites. Oh man. Several facebook groups have popped up at OU about them getting screwed including several petitions(one is even national and garnering signatures from other schools) to not only get the refs fired but to get the outcome of the game overturned!!!! Hahaha. I hope they don't think that'll actually work.

Does an yone know how far they plan on going with these UFC Classics DVDs? They're up to UFC 6 and pretty soon they'll get getting to where a lot of famous older fighters started and that might be entertaining for nostalgia. I really want to know if they're going to do the ones that they don't have on VHS, from the missing era or whatever(why aren't those on tape anyway?) from UFC 22-29. I mean I hear the fights might've sucked during that era but I'm kind of a completist AND I want to see stuff like Ortiz/Frank Shamrock. Also what is PANCRASE? And is it worth picking any older ones up? -
I'm telling you. They don't watch the games yet they claim they're the responsible ones that should be allowed to vote. The AP voters are just as bad as the Coaches.
-
I wonder if it'd been a better game if Nebraska had actually showed up with something resembling a gameplan. Then again USC was running a very vanilla offense. So I'm sure if Nebraska had actually played a real football game then the playbook would open and USC would eat them alive. Even today I'm totally confused by Callahan's gameplan.
-
Holy shit. Vince Young threw a TD? He's playing better than Collins? He's got the most rushing yards on the team right now in this game? Awesome! *looks at overall score* Not so awesome.
-
Wow how is he playing? Weren't the scouts down on him? Like really down on him?
-
With the way the eagles were playing it sure as hell looked over. Then they played with their heads up their asses for the whole 4th quarter. If they can play like they did for the first three quarters all season then they can win the division or at least easily secure a wild card spot. I'm not looking for them to make a run to the Super Bowl this year but the division is not out of the question.
-
Because it's happened in the past when it's such a close game on the road like that and there are shennanigans like that at the end. But they lost. What is this, figure skating? Hey they move Cal up after the loss to USC, granted there were no shennanigans there. And yes it has happened. And the way OU's defense played on the last two drives it might've been figure skating.
-
Heh. It's true. They did a piece on the news where they had a lady go to an OU basketball game with an OSU jersey on and she said she'd never been cussed at more and insulted than any time in her life. And then she went to an OSU basketball game with an OU jersey on and everyone was really nice to her. I mean I'm about as sore of a loser as there's ever been but even I have to admit it's OU's fault. Yeah OU should still blame themselves. It's like Porter said to me online when I told him OU should've scored 4 TDs instead of kick 4 FGS......and he said "28>12". It's true. They should've done something. And they shouldn't have stood around with their mouths hanging open after the bad calls. They should've played some defense. And then they still had a shot to win with the field goal and they went and got it blocked. So while yes it was a shitty way to lose and yes it was as shitty call and should've never come down to that...you have to play after the shitty call! The game didn't end on that call. Fowler was right though. If you're going to have replay......why not get it right? They very obviously got both calls wrong. And about AD being boring. He's flashy when he's not facing 8 guys. That's when he bowls people over and breaks off 50 yard runs. Of course facing 8 guys in the box against OSU last year he ripped off 2 70+ yard TD runs with nobody laying a hand on him. `

DQ8? Dragon Quest 8? I'll give it a shot then.
