OU survives the UAB experience and ONLY because of Adrian Peterson. However Paul Thompson played a lot better than most people thought he would and he played better than Bomar when Bomar was starting out last season. They'll be ok this season but at this point they lose to Oregon and lose to Texas.

It's become painfully obvious watching this game that OU won't be able to do shit this year without Adrian Peterson.

So if I trained hard at kickboxing and got good at it I couldn't do well at an amateur boxing or golden gloves tournament? Some guys from my gym have. They may have done some extra boxing training but I know for the most part they did kickboxing.

Wow Ohio State looks really good so far. But Texas looked good too. So it'll be the experienced defense of Texas with an inexperienced QB against the experienced QB of Ohio State and the inexperienced defense of Ohio State. Ah hell I'm picking Ohio State. They've got more experience and leaders on offense and the defense is nasty even if it is young. It doesn't matter if the game is in Austin.

Me and Porter discussed this the other day but I figured I'd pose the question here. What made Vince Young special? I mean he wasn't the greatest running QB ever and he wasn't the greatest passing QB ever. But the analysts, NFL draft guys, commentators, everyone said "I've never seen anyone like him! There's nobody to compare him to! He's special!" I even remember people trying to compare him to Vick and then other people saying "he's nothing like Vick." I mean he's not as fast as Vick and I don't know if he has all the moves that Vick does but he runs really well. But like I said he's not the best running QB ever. So what made him so special? I can't put my finger on what made people say "i've never seen anything like him!'

I thought he was going to Ohio State....is the injury preventing him from playing college ball? Do you think he's faking the injury so he doesn't have to play college ball and can go to the NBA?

Well I had a little bit of partying that I didn't think I would want to have last night. We went out bar hopping and came upon this bar that sold liters of beer for 5 bucks. Oh hell yeah. So after a liter or two me and my gf went back with her friend and bf to their apartment. We started playing a drinking game and I consumed like 8 more beers and got pretty smashed(i get drunk quickly). Well me and my gf start making out on the couch(nothing like heavy) and then i hear this noise. I look over and her friend is giving her bf head right there. I was like "that's not something i want to see." So my gf starts getting heavier and we go to the bedroom and do our thing. We come back out and rather than going to the other bedroom where we didn't have to see them they decided to fuck right there on the couch! It wasl ike a porno with ugly people. I just put my shoes on and stumbled drunkingly out the door and my gf did the same. Not something we wanted to see at all. So I partied hard last night and got to watch live fucking....but not the kind I wanted to see.....*lowers head*

Ok so explain to me all the differneces in what you learn for MMA, boxing, and kickboxing as far as striking goes. Because I always thought that MMA fighters learned how to kickbox as well as grapple thus making them decent kickboxers and I thought kickboxing was basically just boxing with using your legs. I mean I kickbox but I've never taken a boxing class so I wouldn't be able to tell you the difference in what we learn. But like I said we have kickboxers compete in boxing tournaments and do well from our school.

But he's not. Actually we don't know how good he is. Backing up Jason White he played better than Bomar did last season. But against TCU he was horrid. But also in that game he was looking over his shoulder the entire game(he even admits that he was tight and afraid to mess up b/c he knew his job would be gone), he had no blocking(the o-line was terrible), and he had no good receivers. This year he has a better O-Line and better receivers and he's not looking over his shoulder the whole time. On top of that Stoops admits that they probably set him up to fail by putting him in Jason White's offense(which he couldn't run) rather than sticking him in an offense tailored for his strengths. Kevin Wilson claims they'll play to Thompson strengths today which are running, bootlegs, and short passes. So we'll see. I think TCU wasn't indicative of how good he is but I could be wrong. He could throw several picks and fumble against UAB. They still won't lose to UAB though b/c of Peterson and the defense. But I just heard some yahoo on a sports betting show talking about how UAB was just like TCU and how they'll upset OU again. The other guy pointed out that TCU was waaaaaay better than UAB and he also pointed out that OU is better this year than last year. Of course if Peterson sprains his ankle in the first game again like he did last year then all is fucked.

I'm still trying to figure out what hell OU lost losing Bomar. I mean I've heard countless people on ESPN, FSN, local news, and what not going "Well they were national title contenders before they lost Rhett Bomar. Now they'll struggle to win the Big 12!" What the hell? I mean it's not like Bomar was that great. He had like 10 TD passes and something like 3 rushing TDs. Those numbers suck for any big time D-1 QB but then you throw in the fact that he had 10 INTs and lost nearly as many fumbles!? And by all accounts he was a shitty leader according to everyone around the program(and i can personally vouch for this after talking to some team members). So it's not like they lost Jason White.

From watching him in college and the preseason Matt Leinart looks like he could be a star and a great NFL QB. Meanwhile Carson Palmer IS a star and IS a great NFL QB. The question is......who will be the bigger star and better NFL QB when all is said and done? Also something I noticed....I didn't watch Palmer in college but did he look the same that he does now? Leinart looks like a kid. He's got the shaggy hair and 5 o'clock shadow. He just looks like your typical college kid. Palmer looks like a 35 year old man. Has he always looked like that?

The Big 12 North is still horrible and aside from Nebraska they should all still be the south's whipping boys.

See I've done some of that stuff that you mentioned in the post. I've been drunk for days in a row, had horrible hangovers, quit drinking an hour before work, blacked out, been "that guy" at parties or bars, and I still feel empty like I haven't done what I needed. Maybe I just have this yearning to do something completely legendary and completely crazy......

I wonder what they did to make Heisman mode so much more difficult in this one than they did in other ones but I noticed a couple of things when playing on this difficulty: -I absolutely cannot run the ball. My players are run down immediately by d-lineman! -everyone on defense seems faster than my players and put on this extra burst of speed -the defense ALWAYS lands a big hit if they get behind my player and have a chance to deliver a tackle Also just general musings: -stop roughing the kicker! my players won't quit knocking the fucking kicker out! -my d-lineman almost never get tackles or sacks. it's absurd.

i'd rather just aim it and hit the button like you did on the old one. I hate having to angle it and all that BS using the thumbstick.

So what exactly is a man crush? I've heard a million different definitions of it ranging from "You secretly want to have gay sex with the guy" to "He's just so cool you want to hang out with him so bad that it's like a crush." Does anyone have an exact definition because my gf accused me of having a man crush on Jason Statham so I'm trying to figure out if she thinks I want to hammer him or just hang out with him....... Oh and anyone here have a notable man crush?

Yes the CPU never misses a FG. It drives me insane. On Heisman in NCAA 06 I was still blowing people out by 50 points. On Heisman in NCAA 07 it's always a close game and my opponents always have the greatest 3rd down conversion rate EVER. `

But I've done most of those things(except the getting with a chick hotter than me. damn this visage of mine! oh and my friends are ugly too) and I still don't feel like I've had a memorable party experience. None of these things seem worthy of the title "partying like a rockstar". I think that I'm going to have to experience one of those moments where I wake up and don't know where I am.......or I'm on a trash barge leading out of NYC.
