Why would OU want to go to a conference where nobody dominates for long periods of time when they could stay in the Big 12 where they could dominate forever if they so chose? In the Big 12 they usually just have to worry about Texas. In the SEC they'd worry about everybody. The Big 12 is generally the 3rd or 4th best conference.......why jump to the 1st when you could dominate in the one you're in and win national titles? Are you sure that isn't a joke? Ya know because so many teams in the SEC have committed violations and OU has committed some in football and basketball recently?

He got better as the season went on. He's athletically gifted and more athletically gifted than Heupel, Hybl, or White could dream of being. Problem is those guys had a brain and Bomar doesn't. Bomar couldn't read a defense to save his life. You say for them to keep handing the ball to Peterson but they tried that last year and he got hurt.....twice! OU has gone from a national title contender to fighting for the conference title in 2 seasons. Sucks.

I laughed when I heard that it was Bomar. Because they came on the radio and they go "Two OU players have been kicked off the team for receiving improper benefits" and I just blurted out "Douche bag frat boy Bomar!" and then they go "One is Rhett Bomar and the other is unknown" and I just busted up laughing. I already knew he was getting improper benefits(i know what all of them are doing wrong) it was just how long until he got caught. The other player thrown off was O-Lineman JD Quinn. Well OU is dicked and shouldn't be ranked in the Top 15 now. Sure they got AD but they don't have a QB that's taken a snap. They have JC transfer Joey Halzle and true freshman Sam Bradford......hmmm.......sounds like they're screwed. There was talk about moving Paul Thompson back to QB but he played WR all of last year and has practiced at nothing but WR all spring and summer. When I talked to him last he said he was happy that he was a WR and he was glad he didn't have to worry about QB. My friend made the best point in relation to that. He said: "Well he shouldn't have gotten comfortable because Bomar was in front of him." Everyone around here knows that Bomar is a complete moron. He got busted for drinking twice and he's an honorary member of the biggest party fraternity on campus. He's an idiot. I'm glad his douche baggery is out of the way and they can concentrate on maybe building Bradford as a QB for the future because he's not an idiot and he's not a jackass like Bomar. (that was another thing Bomar was a dick)

I like a lot of the PRIDE music. Like the music they play during the various opening ceremonies in 2005 and the music they play when someone wins....all make me feel like doing something heroic....I hear those and I'm like "yeah I can do anything! I can fight Fedor!" then I see Fedor coming to the ring and I hide behind my couch in hopes that he didn't hear me.

Were any of Sakuraba's fights worked? I still wonder if the matches on my PRIDE 20 DVD are out of order or missing some? It just seems different from the tape I have. I wish I could find a year by year list of each PRIDE show so I'd know when some of the matches on my DVD's occur.

Maybe he's referring to the fact that they couldn't get over the OU hump? They did drop 5 straight to OU and Brown has only beaten Stoops twice. Not to mention OU has the same number of national titles in the past few years as Texas and more conference titles. But yes Texas was not mired in mediocrity. They only generally had trouble with one team and then they'd get to a bowl and Brown would play dueling QBs which I think he'll go back to this season. Btw Texas has a great record but Stoops record is 75-16 so in one less year than Brown. That leads me to wonder why all the OU fans that tout Stoops as a god of coaches don't think the same of Brown? The records are close.

Ok so when I lived with my parents we had 5 dogs. But they were all small dogs. So they weren't really able to mess things up. Well I moved in with my gf and she already had a rottweiler. Well then we went and got a Boxer to be his companion because we had to leave him alone so much. Well she's 2 so she likes to fuck everything I own up and then she gets him going and he assists in the mayhem. They constantly tear the trash up, or drag things off the table and eat them. The other day they ate my DVD remote! And the Boxer is really nosey. She wants to know what we're doing at all times. I try to take a dump and she's outside the door scratching on it and whining. She follows me everywhere throughout the house and cocks her head and watches me do anything. It's weird when you have a pair of eyes watching you at all times. And the rottweiler. He used to eat in the living room but we got tired of picking his food out of the carpet so we started moving his food bowl to the kitchen. Well he didn't like that so now when he wants to eat he'll pick the bowl up and carry it into the living room. And if he doesn't get it in the right spot he'll dump it over and walk off. And then there's also the fact that he thinks he's a lap dog. I think all big dogs think that though. But for all the complaints they're awesome dogs and I love having them. What things do your animals do that make you want to ring their necks? Aside from the obvious pissing and shitting in the house.

I can see how this season is going to go. The USC fans are going to do the same thing I do with OU but because they're not me they'll get away with it and nobody will call them on their bullshit. Texas is going to maul the Big 12? With what? The QB who's never taken a meaningful college snap or the one that's never taken a college snap period? Let's not forget how inept Mack Brown was before he had Vince Young. He played dueling QBs every year. Young saved Brown because then it was easy "Oh well superman will save us out there." Now they don't have Young and they don't even have a QB that can run the offense that Young was running b/c they won't have the legs for it. All those moments where Young took off to save Texas won't be there b/c neither of these guys can do that! And my trash? You're just as guilty buddy boy. You spew just as much trash and you're probably a bigger homer than I am.

I'm watching these old PRIDE's and they're pretty decent. I like Sakuraba being the Gracie killer. Who is the best Gracie anyway? So PRIDE unlike UFC didn't start out as the brutal no-holds barred show right? MMA had been around for a bit so it was able to start out as a regulated sporting event. Right?

I'd take Bomar over Booty and Sanchez for the simple fact that he's got at least a year running an offense in college football. It was a shitty year but at least he got the experience. I don't trust QBs that have never stepped on the field in a meaninful role. OU has one of the best coaches in the country and they fell flat on their face. Granted if Peterson hadn't been hurt they probably would've beaten TCU and probably UCLA and actually did beat Texas Tech but the ref screwed that up. But they still fell down with one of the best coaches. And don't try to say Stoops isn't a great coach. That's just a dose of haterade but you might as well drink it to go with your cardinal and gold colored glasses.

Everyone is acting like USC and Texas are just going to insert new players and hit the ground running again because they recruited so well. Hell other teams have done the same and fallen flat on their face(OU, Miami, Michigan) because of young talent or missed recruits. Fuck Rhett Bomar was supposed to be like a god that was going to be the AD of QBs in terms of performing his first year. Didn't happen. Just remember that being a highly recruited talent and actually getting out there and performing are two different things. USC could fall flat just like most other teams in their position. And no they won't be the best offense in the country. Not with those young players in key positions.

There were a ton of old people and college kids at this casino. It's only 10 minutes from OU.

Just make sure you don't confuse good ground work with boring lay n' pray. I find escaping submissions more exciting than 2 guys standing up trading jabs. So do I but I'm talking about someone laying on top of the other guy with the occasional weak punch thrown in there.
