Now they just get hot chicks, a gay person, and a bunch of buff frat dudes. That's not real life! That's college! I also think MTV is very irresponsible in what they show on TV. They show tons of underage drinking, sex, and what not and then try to glorify everything of the sort and make it cool. Therefore we get 14 year old sluts slutting around town drinking more than I do.

Well he was underage and he got caught. Plus he's the QB at Oklahoma. Of course he's in a fish bowl. Well I walked into the indoor practice facility yesterday and the first thing I saw was.....Rhett Bomar throwing an interception~!~! Back to business as usual for him I see. Although AD had some good stuff to say. Apparently the other running back Allen Patrick is his roommate and he thinks they'll have an Auburn or USC duo thing going on this year. I say however with DeMarco Murray coming in and being touted as an awesome freshman RB like Peterson was that Patrick might not sniff the field after Murray shows his stuff off. It's hard to believe this is AD's junior year. If what he said about his daddy isn't true then this could be his last season.

So there isn't really a martial arts badass that can kick ass like in a Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris movie?

When I read the title of this thread I remembered another person on this board that wanted a russian chick.

Yes I have to be at the first OU spring practice today(it's my beat) so it should be fun. I don't really like spring practice though b/c you don't have the team you had last season and you don't have the team you'll have next season. It's like a half-team.

You'd be opening a whole can of worms that is still being discussed to death on martial arts boards. A few points consistently brought up: - Sport fighting's rules and training within those rules can hinder someone's effectiveness in the street, where there's any number of X factors a sport fighter probably hasn't trained for (multiple opponents, weapons, dirty moves, etc.). On the other hand, though the efficiency of them is very much in question, most traditonal martial arts have training and techniques for such situations. - Many people still hold on to the old notions that what they see in old kung fu movies will work (as opposed to right cross to the nose), and that there's some old, Chinese hermit out there somewhere who would beat the shit out of everyone. - In contrast to the above point, there's been a recent surge of martial arts "getting back to their roots," which is to say practitioners feel their arts have been watered over the years by McDojos and that they're now training in the fashion that made these arts effective in old school Hong Kong rooftop fights. - Many people who train in martial arts never actually get the opprotunity to test their arts outside of the dojo, and hence never get reinforcement (positive or negative) about their skills and style, whereas even in training, most people who train in sports arts practice in a live fashion amongst other people who've fought/competed regularly, or do so themselves. What do you mean about the getting back to it's roots? Wonder where I could find one of those. And you mean there isn't some old chinese dude out there with a death touch?

I would be one of them. I don't like playing games with other people unless it's a game with my friends. I just like going through story mode. Plus I don't play games very much and the people that play on XBox Live usually do thus making them absurdly good and therefore not fun for me to just repeatedly get my ass kicked.

You know there is something that is bugging me. They teach things like Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, and other asian martial arts forms as self defense. But they don't work in MMA. Why is that? Why can't you just walk out there and block the guys attack and do some awesome punch or kick? Does that stuff not exist? How are those things a valid form of self defense then and why are they taught if they won't work again soemone that knows what they are doing in a fight?

And damn I'm 6'4" and I can't dunk. As my sig says. If I had 2 more inches of vertical I could do it(i can lay my fingers on the rim. So I can do the women dunk but I can't throw it down). Then again I'm white and have never been athletic.

I have to admit. I like it when Tito beats up on scrubs and then gets his ass beat by a big name fighter.

I hate the way they shoot in women's b-ball. It doesn't look crisp. It looks like they're shoving the ball at the rim.

I like the new Simpsons but not as much as the old Simpsons. But I'm not a hater or anything. But why can't they go back to being the normal American family with real problems?
