I don't hate women's sports, I like softball.......as for women's basketball? Not so much of a fan. Anyway ESPN really needs to get their uncool white guys(Scott Van Pelt, Neil Everett, etc.) and Stuart Scott to tone down trying to be funny during highlights. It was absurd the other day when a Rockets highlight screeched to a halt because they were doing an impersonation of Dikiembe Mutumbo. I really wish they'd just actually listen to their ombudsman.

For the record, we're generally cool with each other. It's just I hate all related to LA and you love all related to LA. So one of us will invariably say something that sets the other off and then we'll have what amounts to a slap fight and then in like a week it'll be all cool again. I never saw it as anything real serious. We basically just turned our heads away from each other and started slapping then went about our merry business.

Ok so I noticed something while playing Oblivion. See if this is just the game or maybe something's wrong with my TV. I was playing it at home on my HDTV and when I go into a dungeon I have to get my torch out b/c the dark areas are well dark. So if I'm going through a cave and there's no light I need to produce my own light. Makes sense. Well I visited my parents for a week and hooked it up to the standard TV they have in their guest room. I didn't need a torch in the dungeons. Everything was perfectly fine. All the colors were real flat and the game was kind of pale, but otherwise there were no dark areas. Now is this a problem with my HD, the black levels, or maybe is it just SDTV being so crappy it can't display the black levels needed for the ambiance of the dark caves?

No UNC needs to play Kansas. I've been surrounded by KU fans since August and anytime UNC gets the slightest amount of love they launch into a Roy Williams hate-fest. I'd love to see UNC beat KU just to see their heads explode.

So just to jump in with a sob story. I used to live in a place where 6 comic book stores were all within 30 minutes of my house. 2 were within 5 minutes. Now I've moved to Dodge City and the only place I can get comics is Hastings. They don't come out until a month later and there's no comic book store in site. It really really sucks. End sob story.

So I'm really thinking 3 of the 4 #1 seeds make it to the Final Four: Kansas, UNC, and UCLA. And I think Texas makes it on the other side. Then the usual Big XII chokejob happens and we're left with UCLA vs. UNC.

I never agree with a word she says. She's as bad as Amy Lawrence. When she presents an opinion it sounds like she's laying it out as fact. That and I see her on First Take and she pulls the "Skip if you don't agree with me I'm going to make fun of you and make you sound like an idiot." And of course that dweeb Jay Crawford joins in on it.

I'm poor, I have to buy the replica kind. Damn. And for some reason they don't have the swingman style at NBA.com. They have the replica and authentic and the authentic is like 170 bucks.

At the Champs they never have the replica jerseys, just the swingman style. I'm not a fan of the relicas, as they tend to look cheesy. What's the big difference? The replicas aren't as high quality are they?

Pretty decent game between the Suns and Celtics today. As much as I like the Celtics, and as much as I'm glad they're finally good and I'm glad can finally watch them on TV again(being in the midwest I only got to see them once a year when they were shitty) but something keeps screaming Eastern Conference Finals upset to me. So today I was getting ready to order a Paul Pierce jersey from NBA.com and then I saw a Rondo one and now I'm seriously considering getting that one. Problem is they have the Pierce one in the sweet black lettered alternate but the Rondo one isn't. Hmmm...... *PS* The jerseys are 44.99 at NBA.com. I went into Champs Sports the other day and saw a Kevin Garnett jersey. Exact same replica jersey as the one at NBA.com and it was 75 dollars! Screw that. That's almost as bad as when I went to buy the black Brian Westbrook jersey at Foot Locker here in town and they'd jacked the price to 100 bucks. It was 75 a week ago...oh wait they're having a 30% off sale so they can't lose any revenue on that jersey I guess. That shit should be illegal.

Well yeah that makes sense. I had UCLA losing to Kansas in my finals. But, Kansas has looked dominant and they always choke. So the fact they have looked so dominant is probably an "FU" to their fans when they finally do choke.

You really think so? I've seen a lot of people saying they're going down due to their injury issues and what not. Then again the competition for them isn't exactly stiff. If it wasn't for Texas in that other bracket I'd say this may be the best chance for the 4 No. 1 seeds to go.

So has anyone played No More Heroes? I read a bunch of positive reviews for it and was pretty excited and then I read Game Informer trashing on it. Then again GI seems to hate anything on the Wii. Maybe that's it.

Mine was made in reaction to his. If the mods makes him take his down then I'll take mine down even if the mod doesn't tell me. But his is designed to get a reaction out of me. Pfft.....I don't care if they are 3-0. They've been doing it against JV squads. I think they might make some noise in the Big XII like they did a few years back when they went like 9-3 but I don't see a title or anything in it. Maybe they'll finally get over the Texas hump now that Vince Young isn't there to bring them back anymore.

Well it's going to be that way for a long time because it'll take a couple of years of both OU and Texas being down for any of the other teams in the conference to develop a marquee name and be seen as anything except the after thought to OU,Texas, and maybe Nebraska. Maybe if one of them like a Texas Tech can break out and win a national title? Will that make them an instant marquee name? One year with a national title? Or will they have to sustain that level of success to surpass those other 3 teams?

I think he was saying that the possiblity of having a marquee matchup with Big XII #3 vs. Pac 10 #2 is slim because OU and Texas are the only marquee schools(maybe Nebraska but not so much anymore) in the Big XII therefore they'll probably always be 1 and 2 in the conference meaning they'll play in the BCS and the Cotton Bowl leaving a team the caliber of Texas Tech to play in the Holiday Bowl. He's saying to get that marquee matchup against the Big XII's big names they have to count on one of those two teams being down like OU was last year. Am I right? On top of that if OU AND Texas are in the BCS which may happen more often than not then they'll have to move down the rung to the #4 or 5 team in the Big XII making it even worse as far as the name matchup.
