Bret/Nash from Series 95 comes to mind. Depends on how much of a slug you consider Nash. Michaels was at his peak in 95-96...still not exactly HOF calibre matches. Listen it takes two to tango. There's not really a way to have ****+ matches with a complete slug. If you wanna have a ****+ match you gotta have another good wrestler. Hence the reason Benoit's best matches have been against other great wrestlers. That's why ANYBODY's great matches are against another GOOD wrestler. If someone does have a ****+ match with a total slug then it's an oddity and happens once in a blue moon. And at this time I can't think of any matches happening like that. Not exactly slugs by any means there. Benoit has good matches with Albert and Rikishi. They aren't exactly workrate gods. Fact is Benoit is as good as everyone says he is. If you've EVER watched him in ECW, WCW, Japan, and Mexico you know this. Hell if you paid attention while watching him on WWE TV you'd know this. Frankly people need to get over there insecurities about liking a wreslter that everyone else does. HHH had a better match with Rikishi than any Benoit match with Albert or Rikishi. I still think it's funny when people say that HBK is the greatest worker to ever step foot in a WWE ring....yeah right. The guy was a bumper and that was it. He spent the majority of his matches getting tossed around and then he kipped up for the big no sell at the end. He's just as bad as Hogan...taking a truckload of offense and then finishing the enemy with one fell swoop. I mean yeah his matches could be exciting but that was just because he was willing to murder himself. If you look at the matches overall they weren't that good. So no I don't think Michaels deserves to be in there. He's one of the most overrated workers ever.
