Days of Purgatory is actually not based on a comic either - it's more just a collection of some older Iced Earth tunes that got re-mixed, re-recorded, etc. But The Dark Saga is, and, as you may have noticed *points at avatar* it rules the fucking planet. And hey, I'm sure that Schaffer is probably happy with what Ripper can do...but I dunno...something tells me that Ripper isn't capable of the same stuff that Barlow is. Again though, I should wait to hear it before passing judgement...

Here's a better idea. Don't watch the PPV. Don't go to the PPV. When a segment involving the McMahons comes on Smackdown, change the channel, because that actually COULD show up. Interesting sidenote - in the bar I saw Unforgiven in, about 25-30% of the people got up and left right after the 3-way.

No, that Pantera cover is worse, because it's A FUCKING PANTERA ALBUM. See, you have to realize that Pantera denies that whole part of their existence ever happened. Diamond Darrell? That was a typo. Twice. I saw it in a shop once, and I wish I had bought it, just to show it to Pantera fans so I could be like "No, THIS is hardcore!!!" That'd be fun.

With good reason - The X Factor owns. What I find odd though, is that even though people complained that Bailey didn't fit with Maiden, he actually did fit in well with a number of tunes on the CD. Since the whole CD was more melancholy, his lower style fit better - for the most part. Tracks like "Man on the Edge" were obviously written with Bruce in mind, but when you hear Bruce sing "The Sign of the Cross", even he tries to keep it relatively low. I dunno how much I like Ripper being in Iced Earth, though. I mean, the samples I heard were good, but I don't think I've ever heard Ripper go outside his whole "I wish I was Halford" singing style, whereas Barlow could do that if he felt like it, but he could do a number of other things too. I'll withold total judgement until I hear the whole thing, though. But back to their older stuff...Something Wicked This Way Comes is based on a comic book? You sure about that? Because according to the liner notes, Schaffer wrote that whole storyline himself. By which I mean, it states that all characters and plot etc. etc. are the sole property of Schaffer. And unless there's one really fucked-up comic book that involves priests molesting children, the War of Independence and Schaffer's best friend being killed, then I doubt the rest of it is from a comic either. Just sayin'...

Actually, Halford's back in Judas Priest now, though he did do two solo studio albums, and a double-live, if I'm not mistaken. In case you're wondering where Ripper went, he's in Iced Earth now. And Barlow went to like, law school or something. And I already miss him. And as far as Blaze goes, that album isn't new at all. It was released in 2000. I've only heard the title track, but I think it's good. And man...calling all death metal shit is kinda asking for it. Not that I like death metal (I *still* can't get around those vocals, though bands like In Flames and Children of Bodom are starting to make the more growly style grow on me) but I still think it's kinda silly to just say "That whole genre is crap!" Unless you're talking about rap. Then it's OK.

You know, I can't give an exact cite, but I seem to recall reading (Probably in a Bathroom Book) another list of banned books, and apparantly someone made the statement that LOTF was banned because "it's demeaning, in as much as it implies that man is little more then an animal". Which is, of course, absurd, because that's THE FUCKING POINT OF THE NOVEL. Personally, I think it's ridiculous for some of these books to be on here, because I'm quite sure some of the classics are on here mainly due to use of words like "nigger" and such. But fuck, people, you can't re-write history. There were (and probably still are, for that matter) times and places where people used the word "nigger" as part of their everyday speech. In order for books to represent this properly (And in many cases, to get their point across - how could TKAM get it's point across if no one ever said anything negative towards black people?) they simply have to use the word. I'm sure they didn't put it in there to offend people. They put it in there because there was a REASON for doing so. Also, that those "What's Happening to my Body?" books were banned blows my mind. They're educational books, for fuck's sake - you can't ban education because "Oh, it's dirty". Gimme a fuckin' break.

Ok, honestly, how on earth can people be upset with Christians being mad at this book? It's a book that was written, apparantly, to make fun of Jesus. They have EVERY RIGHT to be mad at the author of this book. I mean, hell, if someone wrote a book that said the prophet Mohammed was a complete loon who liked to suck camel cock for kicks, they'd probably be shot by now (No offensive to any Muslims or anything, but that was the best example I could come up with off the top of my head). I honestly don't see how people can say "It's just those damned book burners" when it's a book making fun of their entire religon. Also, kinda on topic - is pot a new world or an old world plant? Something makes me want to say that it's a new world plant, but I'm not sure...

I just wanted to point out that tapping to moves like an anklelock, even early into a Iron Man match, is good psychology. Think about it - Angle wouldn't tap when Benoit did it, because if he had, he would've lost, period. But when Brock did it, Angle would've been thinking - "I can sit here, let him ruin my ankle and thus be fucked for the rest of this match, or I can give him a fall, then still have a good ankle to finish the match." I think it's damned good psychology, myself. I didn't see the whole match though - I fell asleep.

Were there combos in the original Mortal Kombat? I thought they didn't use those until like, II or III.

If it was me, I'd do The Wall, mainly because you could probably delve pretty deep into the story behind the album, and interpreting enough lyrics to give people a good idea of what exactly happens could probably eat up a chunk of time. And plus, the movie rules.
