When I say "over the head", I don't mean LITERALLY directly over your head - just their feet breaking the plane that your head is on - they go above the level of your head. I'm pretty sure that during the course of a german, someone's feet are gonna break that plane - same for the side suplex, though that lame-ass Shamrock style belly-to-belly always bugged me anyway.

The bright, dancing flames indicated that he had been correct all along - it WAS combustible. Quintessential (Best word ever!)
-
A suplex IS - A move that involves throwing their feet over your head, while you fall to your back (Though I suppose you could argue that in cases of a Uranage, it could be considered a suplex if you fall to your front). As far as I know, this matches every suplex that there is, save a few variations of ones (I.E. the Drop Suplex) but those don't really count, sez I.

I've always felt that while it may be debatable as to who the BEST wrestler is between Eddy and Benoit, there's really no debate as to who's the better fit in the fed. Eddy just oozes charisma, comes across as being just plain "cool", and has a more high-flying, eye-catching style. He's like Benoit with an actual character.

It was HULK FUCKING HOGAN, in Halifax, for the first time in ages. What'd you think we were gonna do? Boo HULK FUCKING HOGAN? It's CANADA. We don't boo Hogan. For the record, I was at the show, and I don't even like Hogan that much, but JESUS, just to be there was an experience. Uh, dude? They got York, and burned it, if I'm not mistaken. And yes, that WAS our capital at the time. I'm sorry, that whole "well, we have freedom of speech, so America is better" thing kinda bugs me. There's freedom of speech in more then one country these days. They're called Inuit, dammit! (Pet peeve.) Sorry...just reading through the thread and pointing out a few things...

Everyone Unite: Lets put an end to that rap music
The Metal Maniac replied to a topic in No Holds Barred
Why would I? That'd be ignorant. -
Anthrax: NFB (Dallabnekufesin) Startin' Up a Posse I'm the Man SOD: Um...everything they've ever done, just about, but most notably: Shenanigans Speak English or Die All the various "The Ballad of (X)" tracks. And if we're counting videos, GWAR's "Meat Sandwich". Nothing tops GWAR wandering around lost with a map... Except maybe Oderus kicking Jesus' ass in basketball...

Everyone Unite: Lets put an end to that rap music

Maybe Eminem is a fan of the song "Dream On", enjoyed the beat to it, and thought "You know, I bet I could do a decent rap to this..." Or maybe he felt that the "Sing with me/Sing for the years" went along with the message he wanted to get across with the song. I don't know, I personally think that it's reason enough that he wanted to, but that's just me... -
By the looks of it, two 9-year-olds on their parents computer. I have no idea who did it, or why they would even take credit for it.

I'm listening to Iron Maiden's "Dance of Death" right now. I've been listening to this CD almost non-stop...this can't be healthy...

I'm not saying that it's impossible Flyboy, (Though somewhat unlikely, as I've met very few people who liked both genres a lot) but merely claiming that people who are fans of rap tend to be ignorant of metal music, and vice-versa. I didn't claim you couldn't be a fan of both, just that people who are only fans of one probably shouldn't judge the other. -

Gee Banky. You say that as if your comments about metal described the whole genre, instead of just a part of it. Personally, I think that rap fans just shouldn't talk about metal, and metal fans shouldn't talk about rap. Everyone looks much less ignorant that way. -
Yeah, it was the same guy for Fear of the Dark as it was for Virtual XI, Melvyn Grant.

LOTR: TTT Extended Ed. DVD Details...
The Metal Maniac replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Television & Film
This may be a dumb question, but I honestly can't tell just from reading the listing there... Will there be any segments that show Andy Serkis as Gollum? I mean, I know he was in some kinda crazy suit or something so he could be essentially "colored over" later, but I'm still curious to see exactly what he himself did, since it was claimed that all they did with the character Gollum was draw him right over Serkis. I think it'd be interesting to watch. -
In a word....no. In slightly more words: Riggs didn't do The X Factor or Virtual XI, because I believe he had something of a falling out with Maiden in those days. Brave New World actually marked his return as well, in a sense. He also didn't do Fear of the Dark, because while he actually DID draw a cover for it, Iron Maiden simply perferred the version that's on the CD. Outside of those mentioned though, yeah, he pretty much drew everything. He's gone now because he apparantly just couldn't work with Maiden anymore - deadlines, pressure, hassle, or some combination thereof convinced him he'd be better off without them, I suppose. But I won't argue - I would've GREATLY perferred if this album cover didn't suck. As it is, it honestly looks like someone scoured the net for a bit, got a few pictures, copy-and-pasted them all on there, and said "Ok, now this is what we want the album cover to look like. Get someone to draw it properly" and they never got anyone. Like...it's just a poorly-done cover. Look at the baby's heel on the dog - it just sinks right in. And the woman on the left, look at her neck. It was just done badly. But the album has some FINE fucking tunes (I think "No More Lies" is my favourite thus far) so it's all worth it in the end.
-
Honest question: If you flat-out told them "I do not wish to serve Jury Duty, and as such, will vote the exact opposite of what everyone else does in order to screw up the whole fucking trial" what would happen? Could you be arrested for refusing to serve jury duty, or what?
-
Sorry I'm late on this one, BUT: Actually, half of the Brave New World cover IS CGI. Derek Riggs only drew Eddie in the clouds. And yes, Derek Riggs is DONE with Maiden. This also explains why Edward the Great has a shitty cover, as do some of the CDs in the box set. But it's all irrelevant, because while a good cover is nice (And personally, I think this cover had the potential to be good - it's a neat idea, but just done in the worst possible way) it's not essential, and anyone who's opinion on the album will be swayed by the cover before they've actually heard the MUSIC behind it needs to seriously re-think why they listen to music in the first place. I plan on heading right to HMV after I'm done school tommorrow to get it, by the way. I vote KISS, to stay on topic here...

Oh, come on - Christian deserves the credit for taking the BEST bumps in the TLC matches - every match, at least once, he'd go from the top of the ladder to the floor. No tables, no getting crotched on the ropes, just from the ladder to the floor. SICK. And that Styles Clash was fucked up before it even started - Kazarian's head was touching the mat, and he didn't really have room to tuck, it looked like.
-
I learned how to use the proper technique a while ago, but I don't use it anymore, as I find my own method works just as well.
-
I've often thought you could get a neat match with this premise: Hang a belt up, like in a ladder match, but don't provide a ladder. When the bell rings, or at a pre-set time, the belt is slowly lowered to the ground. Once it's low enough, the first guy to physically make it out of the building with the belt is the winner. It probably would've worked best with the WWF Hardcore title, and a number of guys (Like, 10 or so) so it could just degenerate into guys randomly beating each other up all throughout the building. You know, like a regualr Hardcore title match, only with a reason for it.

Being "not the best" doesn't automatically make them bad, you know.

Store Standards is their term, not mine.

Sounds good to me. Hey, you say tomato, I say tomatoe.

And they did it. Metallica changed their style to appeal to a different group of people and sell records to them. That, to me, is the very definition of selling out - changing your current musical direction to sell more records. Which is exactly what Metallica did, only instead of trying to appeal to a new auidence, they're trying to appeal to the old auidence that they shunned when they wrote Load. I'd like to enjoy the album too - I really would. But I honestly can't.
