Does beating up cripples in the crowd and stealing their fake leg to use in a match count as cheap heat? If so, Diesel wins.

I work at Wal-Mart, in a position technically referred to as "Store Standards", though "fucking lackey" would be more accurate. I mainly push carts, do carry-outs, clean spills & the washrooms. I also do any number of other things, depending on what needs to be done, and how lazy the person who's SUPPOSED to do it is.

I blame the constant BAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAM noise. No, it's not a drum, it's NOISE. All I can hear is that fucking snare "drum" that sounds like Lars decided that playing on a garbage can would be a good idea. I also blame the forced feel. Why are they suddenly so angry again? Oh, right, to sell records. If you ask me, St. Anger is more proof of selling out then Load was. And the fact that some songs, like "St. Anger" are 7 MINUTES LONG, when there's really just about a 4 or 5 minute song in there, stretched out to make it seem like they're all badass and writing long songs again, or something. As far as Guns 'n' Roses go, I've never really been a fan, so I won't comment.

Nope. I don't watch it, and I never really have. I watched all of the original Survivor, mainly because I called Rudy to win the second I saw him, and I had to see if I was right. By the time I realized I wasn't, I figured I'd finish. I don't like reality TV in general.

I perfer HBK myself, because I was always kinda indifferent to Bret. He always just seemed to be there, which is odd when you consider that I'm a Canadian and he's our hero, or something. It gets odder when you consider that I HATED HBK with an unbridled passion in my mark days. He ALWAYS came off as a jerk to me for some reason. However, the guy was a wrestling superball, which was good - I hated him, and could then watch him bump off everything the Undertaker (My mark favourite) did to him. Man, one of the reasons Hell in a Cell I is my favourite match is because it involves HBK getting the EVER-LOVING SHIT beat out of him by the Undertaker. Just GOLD. So I perfer HBK to Bret, though Bret was better technically.

Wait, I'm kinda confused... I seem to recall that in my Literary Landmarks course last year, we discussed Rushdie, and how he essentially got a death warrant put on his head by Islam. I also seem to recall that our prof referred to it as a fatwa. Am I simply mistaken in my recollection, or is it somehow open to interpretation that can make it mean a death sentence? And if I am mistaken, could someone kindly tell me what it should have been called?

The very idea of this show disturbs me, for some reason. I dunno, just the whole "Hey, let's make someone look like a fool on national television and then brag about how much of a fool we made him look like!" kinda thing doesn't sit well with me.

I wasn't aware that there were definitive ways to measure exactly how much tramua one experiences from different events. It's just silly to say that one group is going to be more effected as fact, since all people work differently, and what can drive one person insane, could just make another slightly uncomfortable.

So, essentially, Ticketmaster is just cutting out the middleman and scalping the tickets themselves. That's fantastic. I really hope enough people will band together and refuse to pay anything more then the price ON the ticket, but that's really doubtful, so fuck this.

But children are hurt by it. Not ones that currently exist, mind you, but if I'm not mistaken (And I don't think I am, because Marney pointed out the same thing) inbreeding can lead to birth defects in children. Thus, it causes harm, and shouldn't be allowed.

Well, yeah. Cake is good. Besides, why would a baboon lie to me? I think the more important questions are 1. Where did the baboon get the cake, and 2. why is it talking to me?

The problem with this being, what, exactly? I don't whole-heartedly agree with all Canadian politics - does this mean I should tell my employer to shove it? I think everyone's over-reacting. The man essentially said "I don't approve of the way the American government operates, and I think they appear foolish at times." He didn't say "They're a war-mongering nation who likes to eat babies and molest young boys while practicing Satanic rituals". He doesn't agree with American politics. He thinks that grown men and women should have better things to do then remove the word "French" from a common snack food. He'd perfer for his children to grow up in a different nation. What? Do all Americans suddenly have to AGREE with EVERYTHING the US does? Are you not allowed to say "I'd like my kids to grow up in Europe - I think it's nicer then here" or something? I mean, come on people. Not being able to express the opinion that you're not fond of the current government is just a bit too dictatorial for my tastes. I dunno about you, but if I'm not even allowed to say "This place isn't so great", then I think I'd be better off elsewhere anyway.

I'm rather indifferent to the Misfits in general these days. If I had a gun to my head, and had to choose, I'd probably wonder why someone was willing to shoot me if I didn't pick one. Then I'd make up an answer and tell him that. Depends on my mood, really. Sometimes I like going for the more raw feel of the older Misfits, sometimes I feel like going for the more cheesy, polished newer Misfits. Though I think Danzig had a damn good point when he said that they shouldn't be called the Misfits anymore. Call them whatever the fuck else, but not the Misfits, because Danzig IS the Misfits.

Dr. Freud: Are some of your more crackpot theories the result of your habitual cocaine use, or did you just throw shit at the wall until something stuck? Also, would it have been considered a Freudian Slip if I had mis-spelled your name as "Fraud"?

What is your battle cry?
The Metal Maniac replied to Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye's topic in General Chat
Who is that, stalking out of the cliffs! It is The Metal Maniac, hands clutching a bladed baseball bat! And with an ominous howl, his voice cometh: "Vengeance and goo flow from my veins! I hereby snap and go berzerk!!" This is beyond odd. -
Ok, I can understand both not liking these guys, and considering them wankers, but calling them talentless? That's just absurd.

Nevermortal - THANK YOU~!!!!! I've been wondering exactly what the fuck was the deal with the Church burnings and such, and now I know. Hooray for Nevermortal~!

The ONE and ONLY MTV Music Video Awards 2003
The Metal Maniac replied to BifEverchad's topic in Music
Actually, if you want all rock, it's easier to just NOT turn on the radio and stay in your basement with a pile of CDs - that way, you only hear what you want to hear. Just sayin'. -
I defy ANYONE to give me a vaild reason, kayfabed or otherwise, for this. Good to see that Bobby Rude and Vance Nevada are getting up there, and that Scott Savage is on as well. I mean, for indy guys, even though their individual rankings mean little (Like, what's the difference between 345 and 457, really?) just getting IN the magazine is a good way to get at least a little exposure, and if people in their territory happen to read PWI and learn of their local indy fed because of it...power to 'em.

For the record, if I'm not mistaken, I believe that footage of the fall DOES exist, as someone did sneak in a video camera. I *think* I heard that some news show got a hold of it and aired it, while discussing how disgusted they were that the Fed continued the show. Could be wrong, though.

You had to do research to find this out?
-
Hey, now that's not fair. You'd also know about the different genres of metal such as power, thrash, and the like. Seriously though, who gives a fuck? It's MTV, fer chrissake's. What they play and who they give awards to is pretty fucking irrelevant, if you ask me. Just listen to the people you want to listen to, and don't pay attention to MTV. Works for me.

I only watched about the last 45 minutes of RAW, mainly because I had just gotten home and decided to see what happened. I didn't see anything that involved a wrestler vs. another wrestler. Not a match, not an angle, not even a backstage skit. What does that tell you?

Low Ki: Capable worker or liability?
The Metal Maniac replied to Ace309's topic in General Wrestling
Ummm....how often do lightweights fight people who have more then 50 pounds on them in boxing or MMA, anyway? That's what weight classes are for, if I'm not mistaken. Not to say that it's NEVER happened (Because it very well could've, as I don't think all MMA events have ALWAYS had weight classes) but it isn't the most common thing around. Anyway, I agree that it's a silly thing to argue about. When you consider that an irish whip is outlandish in terms of a real fight, suddenly, a smaller guy throwing sick-looking kicks doesn't seem too bad. -
Were you to take a drug test right now...
The Metal Maniac replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in General Chat
It's only been a few days since my last puff, so yeah, I'd fail.
