Tack: I don't really think it was fallacious; you said (though you later claimed that's not what you meant) that heavy makeup and costumes create pop music. Really, it should've been expected. But don't worry, I didn't forget what a misery you can be.

K, when in the second season did they say there was another island? I have no recollection of that at all. Well, okay, that's just silly. They're freaking POLAR BEARS. They're excellent swimmers. Also, I don't think it really matters how big the other island is; when there's only one other island for like, ever, Desmond shoulda seen the thing. But when he came back, he said that there was NOTHING out there.

I think I see what you're saying. But I'm not sure. You confuse the hell outta me sometimes. Like, right now.

I don't prefer any music TV stations. None of the like, 3 I get play anything good. Also, if dressing in costumes creates pop music, doesn't that make a lot of black metal bands pop? Or are ammobelts and corpsepaint just what the average joe wears in Europe? Besides, I base my tastes on music, not look. I just think, from the band's perspective, it would make sense. But no matter how hot this hypothetical woman is, I wouldn't listen to a band if I thought they sucked.

I'm more confused as to how they got back to that island. I mean, they gave Walt their boat, and then they seemed pretty desperate to get Desmond's boat. I assumed that they only had one boat; so how'd they get them over there? Further, even if we assume that Sayid somehow managed to sail around the island in such a way that none of them ever saw the other island, how come when Desmond arrived back he said that THE island was the only thing out there? I mean, if he was sailing around for weeks, and never got more then a little ways away from the island, you'd think he'd notice something like ANOTHER FRIGGIN' ISLAND.

Nightwish makes me wonder; why the shit don't more power metal bands have female vocalists? Besides the fact that their vocals could work very well, if it was a really hot chick, they'd have all the power metal geeks (like me) drooling over her. Also Randomguy, thanks for tossing out Gamma Ray's name. I meant to buy some of their stuff a little while ago, but forgot about them. But now I have remembered.

Pretty good episode; awesome to see Locke back in top form, but one thing is bugging the piss outta me. They said multiple times that the hatch didn't explode, it imploded. Then how in the holy name of fuck did Eko, Locke and Desmond not only not get killed, but get tossed to different parts of the Island? I mean, suspension of disbelief is one thing, asking me to ignore all the laws of physics when you coulda just as easily said that it exploded is something else. They better have an explaination for that.

I think they know, and that's part of the reason why they don't leave the island. I had at once point entertained the thought that the island grants immortality to anyone who lives on it, but if that were the case, I don't think that Alex would've ever grown up (wouldn't she be immortally a baby?).

No, I think his first mistake was assuming that a girl who was that pretty would actually play WoW and D&D online in the first place.

I think pretty much everything Henry Gale told Locke was a lie. He also told Locke that he never pressed the button, though we know now that he must've. I dunno why exactly he was lying to Locke, but now that I think about it, perhaps he wanted Locke to lose his faith in the island, because perhaps the things Locke discovered through his faith (like the hatch itself) are not things the Others want them to know.

You better. *shakes fist*

That's Judas Priest. Starring KK Dowling.

I thought that other name was wrong too, but I didn't know how to spell it properly, so I thought it was better left alone.

Wait wait wait wait WAIT. You people mean to tell me that Laz is in here, ranting like a lunatic, and you're making fun of him for it, and yet no one, not a single solitary soul, bothered to point out the delicious irony of Laz going on about kids these days not even knowing the names of true metal legends, and then SPELLING KK FUCKING DOWNING'S NAME WRONG????? Jesus people. Pay attention. Unless there really is some other dude name KK Dowling who happens to be a metal legend. In which case I pay too much attention.

Cuz they're just so damned sneaky Jin and Sayid didn't see them? I thought that was the biggest flaw in their plan. How did they plan to SEE the Others, knowing how good they are at not being seen, at night no less?

That is the single biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard.

Because only terrorists have weapons of mass destruction. Oh, wait... -
Okay, that was pretty good; but "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is still a better parody, I think, mostly because he's actually parodying the band and the song.
-
Though I haven't heard this song yet, I'd have a hard time buying that it's more spot-on of a parody then "Smells like Nirvana".

Are these things really that rare already? We had a shitload of them in my Wal-Mart the other day, for $50 Canadian.

I thought Simpsons was good and AD was okay, but those fucking radio effects on FG REALLY got on my nerves. -
I'll have to side with Slayer on this one, though I wouldn't call VXI "horrible".

The song is damn good, but as I realized while watching a Maiden DVD the other day, the video sucks. I should point out though, that I like Blaze-era Maiden. Sure he's not as good, but he's still capable, and the music is still good behind him.
-
Personally, I think the best Blaze-era song is "Sign of the Cross", but I would agree that "The Clansman" is the best track on Virtual XI.
