Depending on who you ask, they actually discovered the ninth planet in the solar system. Pluto was downgraded from planet to big space rock a little while back by a few scientists. That said, they *have* to name the planet Vulcan.

Thomas Haden Church cast as villain for Spider-Man
The Metal Maniac replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Uh, Brock was a photographer. He was mentioned offhand in the first movie though; Jameson said something like "These shots are much better then that crap Brock sends in" or something like that. -
I love you, Dave.

That's witty?

US seeks extradition of Canadian pot dealer
The Metal Maniac replied to cbacon's topic in Current Events
He won't be extradited. I'm not just saying that either - it was in the paper. -
Perhaps they're worried that by revealing their presence, they'll totally fuck up the timelines and they'll return to a future in which they were never born. Haven't you ever watched movies? Anyway, I still think the whole thing is totally impossible. I consider time to be little more then an abstract concept created by man to explain why things are different now then they were then. It's like claiming that you can travel through love.

In the New Testament somewhere, Jesus says that it's okay to eat pretty much any animal you want. This is why Christians don't have to eat kosher.

I realized the other day that I can't really watch RAW or SD unless I'm watching it with someone. See, in that case, you can at least make fun of it. By myself, it holds little/no interest.

Best episode this season. I roared my ass off.

I *know* Matt Henstock. Not personally or anything; friend of a friend.

Ten Masked Men make me laugh, but I guess they're kinda parody; they play pop songs (Blue, Wonderwall, Hit Me Baby One More Time, etc), only they do it in a death metal style. The riff on Blue is disturbingly good like that, though. Also, Stormtroopers of Death. Speak English or Die rules.

Yeah, that was kind of a pain. It seems that these days, they're just trying to cram more references into the show, without actually bothering to make a joke out of it.

I'd get a fancy house on one of the German roads down in Terrance Bay, right on the ocean.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread
The Metal Maniac replied to Black Lushus's topic in Television & Film
I think they should've kept Maul around for a while, at least. Make the Sith seem like more of a threat; they could easily have had Count Dooku simply be Palpatine's political pawn and play much the same role (minus all the Sith stuff, obviously). -
Okay, I must be in the minority here, but I really didn't find that puking bit funny. At all. At the same time, I think it helped me realize one of the problems with the new FG episodes: You know the "make it go so long it stops being funny, then starts being funny again" bit? You can tell when they're gonna do that. Well, I could, anyway. This week, as soon as they started to mention puke, I knew it was gonna happen, and last week(?) when Stewie did that really annoying "Workin' on a book there?" bit, I guessed then as well. I dunno, that stuff just doesn't seem near as funny when you can see it coming. Instead of watching the joke unfold and realizing the absurdity at a slower pace, it just clicks that whatever I'm watching right now I'm watching for the next five minutes, so I'd better get comfortable.

I remember that game! That was hard too. I think the best feature in the game was that it would let you skip a level if you played it a million times and couldn't win. EDIT: You're a cocksucker. I just downloaded the game and am about to start playing it. I won't be able to leave my house.

Not so much that as it is that graphics don't impress me anymore. As far as I'm concerned, the level of graphics they have now is perfectly acceptable, and I would much rather know that developers are putting their time and effort into making the game fun, rather then trying to impress me with pretty pictures.

If I wanted to see a real building, I'd go outside. The real question, as far as I'm concerned, is how fun the games will be.

Metal Gear Solid Three was HORRIBLE for this. I once watched someone play this game for at *least* 40 minutes (That was when we started keeping track) without actually doing anything. The most he did was walk from one screen to the next, and put on bandages. Yeah. What a fucking blast.

The very first game I ever got for my NES was a game called Isolated Warrior. I don't think I ever beat the first level. Ever.

Movies you've seen WAY too many times
The Metal Maniac replied to Epic Reine's topic in Television & Film
Wayne's World and Princess Bride. I literally have no idea how many times I've seen either of them, but it's a lot. -
Great spots from Wrestling Video Games
The Metal Maniac replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Video Games
So, me and a buddy are playing Fire Pro D, I've got Misawa, he's got Hogan. The match goes for a little bit, then I try for the Rolling Elbow. At about the same time, my friend goes for the big boot. So I turn around, with my elbow out, catch the boot right in the jaw, and get CRITICALED~! I thought it was classy. Oh, and another time I got criticaled with Kobashi, but my friend pulled me back up. I took this opportunity to whip him into the buckles and give him a Burning Hammer. I couldn't get up afterwards and I lost the match, but dammit, I hit the Burning Hammer! -
If I'm not mistaken, the goal for the company is to make the money back on games, which actually do have a profit margin. But, by selling the system for as cheap as they can get away with, it makes people more likely to buy the system, which in turn means they'll buy games.

Who is that new ring announcer on RAW???
The Metal Maniac replied to Kizzo's topic in The WWE Folder
I hate that guy. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I could swear I've heard him forget to anounce a wrestler's hometown or weight on more then one occasion. I mean, did the Fink die? Fuck every announcer who's not him. -
Best part: The Shit Blizzard bit. Solid gold.
