I like how people complain that the government is forcing them to drive in a certain manner...without seeming to realize that EVERYONE drives according to what the government says. You can't drive if you don't pass the test. You can't drive is your car isn't insured. You can't drive if your car is unsafe. Driving, in and of itself, is a priviledge. So I don't see where all this nonsense about being "forced" to wear seatbelts come from. You're already forced to drive according to certain laws; what's one more?

Didn't Kane go something like 40 minutes in...shit. 2001? 2002? Whichever Rumble it was that he lasted a long time in. Bob Backlund should be in every Royal Rumble that he's physically capable of being in from now until the end of time. Honestly, when Benoit won, I was angry that he broke Backlund's record. Best RR participant ever. Some of my favourite RR moments include Backlund being one of the guys that Diesel slaughtered during the original Diesel push, and the end of the '93 RR. It's just that moment when the camera shows Backlund, and he's got this totally glazed look in his eyes, he appears to be dead, but then he looks around with this look of surprise (I'm still in the royal rumble? SWEET!) before attacking Yokozuna.

It's probably just part of the top of the cage, with fake barbed wire, that they had Bradshaw pose on. I don't get the point though; are they gonna just wrap wire around the top? Cuz if they do, then the match pretty much has to be pinfall, not escape, and if they do that, the wire is meaningless because it's at the top of the cage.

I've only seen it once, but I still liked House of a Thousand Corpses. I mean, for a horror movie, I didn't see anything wrong with it. Lots of gore, some decent lines (RUN RABBIT, RUN!) and some boobs. What else do you need? I thought it was more disturbing then scary though; I mean, laughing at someone while you scalp them? Twisted. The new one looks interesting too...I'll have to see it when it comes out.

Since it was kinda already brought up... The game you mentioned, Weaponlord...was that made by Namco? Because I remember there being a SNES game called either Weaponlord or Weaponmaster or something like that, and it was made by Namco. The reason I ask about it, is because I was wondering if that is somehow the forerunner to Soul Calibur; I mean, not in a storyline sense or anything, just in the sense that it was a fighting game with weapons, which didn't seem too common; but then, I'm not big on fighting games, so maybe it is. So is that game possibly like, the distant ancestor to Soul Calibur, or is it just a co-incidence that these games were made by the same company?

I was reading the Batman and Superman comic book the other day; not sure which issue, but it was during the Supergirl storyline. Anyway, I thought they put forth a really good theory on why no one realizes Clark is Superman: Basically, Superman can do anything he wants, anytime he wants. The people see him as larger then life, a cosmic superbeing who is beyond mere humans. So why the FUCK would he dress like a human and do normal human things? I mean, really; if you were Superman, would you waste time milling about in an office? I sure as hell wouldn't. I mean, it doesn't explain away the whole thing, but the fact that no one is LOOKING for Superman dressed as a regular human probably helps him stay hidden.

I guess a tricked-out car would make a hell of a lot more sense for Batman. I mean, he'd be able to actually blend in while driving, and he could park it in normal places (assuming that it didn't look too outlandish) without worrying. Driving around that tank, he'd have to spend half his time just looking for safe, secret places to hide the fucking thing.

You know, that's quite possible. But that begs the questions: 1. Why did RF go to the kids house in the first place? 2. Why did he RUN AWAY when it became obvious that there was no 14-year old, just a grown man with a camera?

Dude, it's a comic book movie. I swear, they could make a movie based on some comic, and get every single little detail right, and people would STILL find ways to complain. But that Batmobile is ugly as sin.

My viewpoint on the matter has been stated numerous times.

Because Barron said it, and he's obviously biased. Not a knock on Barron really, everyone is biased about some things: but the point is, if Avril was a drummer in a fair sense of the word (someone who plays drums often and makes serious effort to improve and whatnot) then she surely would have been able to play Song 2 well enough to get a better response then "not great" and "I'm not saying she was very good" from a fan of hers. That, to me, suggests that she was probably worse then Barron was letting on. About Avril being the singer; strong point, especially since it underlines the fact that her job is doing something else. Avril sings, plays guitar and piano, and that is her primary responsibility. It is true that she apparantly is capable of playing at least one song on drums; however, she evidently only does so for fun, probably screwing around with the kit while in studio and whatever. And Barron made an even better point: This argument is really kinda stupid. Therefore, I will say that Avril is a musician who is capable of playing drums to some extent. However, since her primary job is to do other things, and she does not appear to put much effort towards her drumming, I will not call her a drummer. Why? Because a drummer is someone who drums a lot, drums as their primary function in whatever band they happen to play in, and puts serious effort towards improving as a drummer. That sound good?

I consider the fact that she evidently never played any other song besides this one, doesn't claim to be a drummer herself, (as far as I know) and didn't do the song very well (I would think that, if she was a drummer, she could at least handle this song) to be evidence of this fact. Maybe not concrete evidence, but evidence enough that I'm not going to just assume she's a drummer, based on a single song. If there was more evidence I'd consider it, but as it stands; hell no. Further, I think the logic is kinda silly; if you saw me take a back bump, would you assume I was a pro wrestler, based soley on the fact that no one has proved to you that I'm not?

I never really said that. I do think that if someone goes out and makes an effort to play the drums, learns multiple beats and whatnot, but sucks, then they're still a drummer. But Avril apparently only went out and learned one. And stopped learning. And probably only did so so that people like us wouldn't complain about how she doesn't play anything. It didn't work.

I'm only gonna say this once more, because I'm sick of saying it. She plays ONE EASY SONG. If I go learn one easy song on a guitar, that doesn't make me a guitarist. At least, not in the sense that if someone asked me what I play, I'd respond with "the guitar", because I only know one song, and it's easy. Now, if she played a variety of songs on drums, then I'd say she was a drummer. But by all current accounts, she doesn't. She plays one. Thus, she's a person who can play one song on drums. Which, in my eyes, is not a drummer.

Know what cracks me up? The fact that the people defending Avril pretty much conceded the point that, while she technically can do such things, she's not very good at them. And again; being able to play one easy song on drums (which is all we currently have evidence she can do) doesn't make you a drummer. And for the record, I already knew that Avril did some writing; I more or less wanted to know exactly what she had wrote though, because I recall having arguments with other people about other bands, and even though they used the defense "they do write some of their own stuff!", the some in question turned out to be one or two songs. I also find the jealousy bit comical. I'm not jealous of a pop fabrication. I may be jealous of some things and people, but she ain't one of them. And people like Avril are only really considered alternative by the same stupid teenage girls who think she's punk.

Yeah, but isn't Thanksgiving always on like, the Xth week of the month? Like, the last Friday in October or whatever it is? No, I don't know when Thanksgiving is, fuck off. Easter doesn't seem to follow such a strict pattern; doesn't it happen during like, different months sometimes?
