Especially if it's one of those shows where you'll miss something if you don't see all the episodes in sequence. Why wait months and months just to spend $60 on something that they (literally) give out for free, just because you had to be somewhere else?

You missed the biggest, most glaring difference between Hogan and HHH. HULK HOGAN DREW MONEY HAND OVER FIST. He could stay champ for a year, and people would still watch, because people LIKED seeing Hulk Hogan win. HHH has yet to prove that he can draw substantial amounts of money.

WWE also did a confidential piece on Rikishi, without ever once mentioning the words Too Cool. Did you know that Rikishi just started dancing in the ring after a match one day because he felt like it? And Too Cool had NOTHING to do with it, because they didn't exist? Confidential pieces and posters don't prove an argument, at least not in this case. The fed lies about practically everything that's ever happened, so this is no different. However, I am inclined to believe that what is posted on their Title Histories page is the recognized history of their belts (which, as I've said, does change from time to time) and it doesn't say anything about the WCW title.

You know, I'd like to use this to declare victory for the "Not the WCW Title" side of the argument, but knowing the fed, they'll stick the WCW lineage in there tommorrow...and remove it by Monday.

I really wanna see a movie of The Hobbit as well, if only for Smaug. I just hope that, if they do make the movie, they don't make him look like a freakin' cat like in the cartoon version.

I think we actually have similar feelings on the movies. I also feel that a lot of the stuff was too convenient, especially the undead army. I mean, I understand WHY it had to be done like that, but it IS kind of annoying to not hear about these sorts of things until they're just about to happen. A lot of it seems to come off as just being normal to the characters (which I suppose it is) but it's not normal to us, so it can be kind of annoying. As for the Witch King, I always assumed that he intended to kill Gandalf, but never really got the chance. He made the King of Rohan his first objective (which was wise; kill the guy in charge and, if nothing else, you've just butchered morale) but got killed before he could move on. That bugged me too though. I would've greatly preferred if he actually killed SOMETHING, you know? I would have liked it much better if he had landed somewhere else on the battlefield, and had to cleave his way (much like Sauron did at the start of FotR) to the King. As far as I know, yes. Well, there was that one guy who seemed to be immune to the Ring, but he wasn't even in the movies. Because they won, and destroyed the Ring. Had they not, then they would have faced his wrath, and then be dead.

Yeah...because all the other battle scenes in the movie just didn't happen. Right. You don't see the Balrog again because Gandalf killed it, and besides, Balrogs are extremely rare creatures. The Ollyphants are in Two Towers, although they don't really do anything - but Frodo and Sam catch a glimpse of a passing army which has Ollyphants. Also, the Ents are in the third movie as well. Granted, they don't really do much, but they are there. Well, unless the first hour of the movie was nothing more then a National Geographic Look at all the Creatures of Middle-Earth, that's unavoidable. The thing is, the books were essentially written as a history that never happened, so you either have to have some knowledge of the books, or just accept the fact that you don't know anything about Middle-Earth, and let the movies explain it to you. Because the movie was already very long (too long, according to some) so some scenes had to be cut. The RotK EE shows the battle between Gandalf and the Witch-King, though. Because the Ring is the only thing Gollum cares about, and Frodo knows it must be destroyed. That's the failsafe that Sauron built into the Ring. Anyone who has the Ring wants to keep it, and doesn't want it to be destroyed. That way, even when he got seperated from the Ring, he persisted because the Ring's magic prevented anyone from destroying it on purpose. So he simply assumed that even IF he somehow lost the Ring (I'm talking in terms of when he still had it, by the way) he would be able to get it back eventually, because someone would have it somewhere, and the Ring, which has a mind of it's own, in a sense, would attempt to get back to Sauron. He knew. He just didn't know until Frodo put it on, because it never occured to him that anyone would be able to resist the power of the Ring long enough to return it to the one place it had to go to be destroyed. But once he knew where it was, he realized he was totally fucked. I dunno if you can say that a giant flaming eye can show any emotion, but personally, I thought you could practically hear him yell "HOLY FUCKING SHIT I'M AN IDIOT!" when he realizes where the Ring is, and you see the eye turn.

I don't honestly know, but look at it this way: Every single song on Paranoid is good to great. Yes, all of them. Besides that, it seems to be cheaper then most CD's (around here, anyway). So it is very much worth having. As for the S/T, you NEED to own the actual album, because many of the songs flow from one into the other; it's almost like the whole album is just one enormous song, with a few gaps. So you COULD get just a few off of each, but you'd be depriving yourself needlessly.

I was unaware of that. I understand that no one really could destroy the Ring, but it still makes him look like a chump. I liked that they explained this early on (What with Gandalf's "Don't tempt me Frodo!") but wouldn't it have been possible for someone else (without crazy powers; just your average, strong-willed joe) to do it? As for Gollum, I think that the end of RotK did give him at least a little redemption, at least in his mind. I mean, he GOT the Ring, and since that was the only thing he cared about, he probably at least died happy. I liked how they had him hold it up for as long as possible while he sank.

I see where you're coming from, but MAN, what a useless bastard that Frodo is. Pretty much everything he does is WRONG. He tries to give the ring to that Elf-Chick, tries to go to Mt. Doom himself (even though he doesn't even know where it is), almost gets himself killed, (multiple times) decides to go under the mountain (even though it's obvious that the smartest person in the group doesn't want to go), trusts a creature he KNOWS wants nothing but the ring over his BEST FRIEND, and doesn't even have the balls to complete his quest. Yeah, I understand that's the power of the ring, but it makes him look like such a pussy. I was waiting for Sam to tell everyone what a useless cocksucker Frodo was so that he could rightfully be the hero (I mean, he practically drags Frodo, kicking and screaming to Mt. Doom) and sail off to meet the Gods himself. So yeah, I think Frodo is kind of a cunt.

What's wrong with just saying that he paid off Earl's twin brother? That's a lot more plausible then saying someone got plastic surgery just to help Andre win the title so he could give it to Dibiase. Since someone mentioned Mike Myers, I'll say the Austin Powers films. I never saw three, but I literally watched the first two saying "why the hell was I supposed to watch these again?" That character just fucking annoys me.

I never read the books (Well, okay, I read The Hobbit, but I could never really slog through the books) and I greatly enjoy the movies. Why is it so great? I dunno. But they entertain me; I think it's a combination of stunning visuals and a storyline that I find interesting. But then, I'm a mark for epic stuff - hell, I listen to power metal. I will agree though - they do get better as they go on. The first one, while not bad, didn't seem to have much really happening in it for most of the movie.

I always preferred the UK version...mostly because the show wasn't about the host. That always bugged me on the US version. Carey would always explain that the winner got to do something with him...and then the winner just sat at the desk while Carey and the other 3 did something. The shit?
