But what I'm saying is, technically, that means he is out of the ring, at least in part, because the ropes are what determines the limits of the ring. That's why they can (but don't often) break holds if a guy's foot is under the ropes - just breaking the plane of the ropes counts as being out of the ring, thus the hold must be broken. At least, that was my understanding. Hard to get really well-defined rules in a work, eh?

I'm not totally up on my amateur rules, but do they break holds or whatever when the guys leave the circle area on the mat? Because that's all rope breaks are, for the most part - breaking a hold because technically, one of the guys is outside the ring.

I would think that Anakin is evil before he is forced to wear the body suit. I'm basing this assumption on his funky-colored eyes in the trailer, as well as the clip of him schooling Obi-Wan, and looking quite vicious about it. I think it's quite possible that he turns, is given the name/title of Darth Vader (Darth is a Sith title isn't it?) and later gets fuckered.

Yeah, but remember - MMA and amateur wrestling are two different things. Unless I'm mistaken (and I don't think I am), you don't make guys tap in amateur wrestling; you just pin them. Whereas in UFC, it's the opposite; you must make them tap. Look at Dan Severn in his early UFC days - the guy could take someone down and be in complete control - and then he'd essentially just sit on them, because as an amateur wrestler, he had no other idea of how to win the fight. So it is quite possible that, if that stuff was shoot (as it looked to me), that Angle was just trying to pin the kid, and got surprised with a submission hold.

Rant does have a point though. If you're going to go door-to-door, you should be careful about which doors you go to, or you could get a lot worse then a door in your face.

If other Wal-Marts are like the one I work at (and I suspect that they are) keep in mind that the employees probably don't care that much, and sometimes either put merchandise out too early, or too late. I agree that they should try to make the 4 on 4 matches mean something. I think, that what they ought to do, is bring back the tournament kind of thing they had in previous years. Basically, have two teams from RAW and two from Smackdown wrestle each other, then have the survivors from the winning RAW team fight the survivors from the winning Smackdown team. Hell, they could even take it a step further, and say that the final match must continue until one one man is left (so if there's two RAW guys left when all of SD is eliminated, it becomes one-on-one between the former teammates) and then have some sort of prize for that winner. I would say #1 contendership, but then the Rumble already has that...maybe the winner would be allowed to wrestle anyone he wants, in any match he wants, at the next PPV? I think you could get some neat angles out of that, and it'd totally make the matches mean more.

They edited that segment fairly well. You couldn't really tell, from watching, that they didn't sell. You COULD tell, however, that they sandbagged the shit out of Show. Fuck, I hate them all already.
